((Don't know why i'm starting this in this dead guild but hey...it's worth a shot))
Background
200 Years in the future the world has become a city world with corrupt government officials ruleing everything. Gangs have popped up everywere and anarchy is almost a way of life. A civilazied anarchy at least...the police are so numerous and powerful that any crime is punishable by death if they see fit. Not to mention the increadibly high taxation from everybody who has the power and money to control the cops...not many but enough to put almost the entire population of over 60 billion in poverty. Small businneses find it almost unbearibly expensive to pay for normal parcel dilivery so they hire Freeruners. Freeruners being anybody who has the daring to stand up against the corupt world and has the skills to avoid capture and death. Now you step in, are you a civilian just trying to make a living while avoiding attracting attention to themselves, a Freeruner making a living doing daring stunts to get packages from point A to point B? Or do you join the government as a bounty hunter or a corrupt bussiness man/woman? ((note due to pollution there have been some mutations...allowing a limited amount of species to evolve...please verify these with me before joining))

He is embarrased about his ears so he wears a ski hat to cover them up. He doubts he can hide his tail and doesn't even try, besides, it helps him balance. He is shy and likes to avoid confrontations and constantly questions his way of life. All he wants in life is someone who he can talk to freely but doesn't trust anyone...making this very difficult. "Damn!" Hiskue shouted as a bullet wizzed over his head."Damn damn damn damn!" He wall ran for 10 feet over an obvious mine trap, hit the ground running again and looked back at the security drones that were behind him, stumbled, and fell off the building. He fell about 20 feet, hit a flag pole and slid off of it, fell another 10 feet hit a couple of clothes lines, got temperarily tangled in them, fell again and bounced off of a dumpster, hit his head hard on the ground, and was knocked unconsious.

Seras snapped awake from her spot on the counter at the sound of a commotion from outside. She groaned and looked around. She really hated this shop sometimes, it always looked so dull and boring. Her overly-sensitive ears perked as she heard a soud from the alleyway next to her shop. She immediately got serious, and pulled the revovler she kept in her shop for protection from one of the drawers of the desk she was seated at. She didn't want any trouble today, but it was better to be prepared. A person could never know what would leap out of this godforsaken city. She moved to the side door and peeked out the small window. Hey eyes narrowed as she saw a number of security drones surrounding what looked to be a boy her own age.

As Hiskue was dragged away by the security drones a thought crossed his mind, Why am I doing all this for just a recipie?. He was hired by a rival food company that wanted to know the secret recipie for their compatitions success. He had located it and extracted it but was caught escaping...and now it seemed, he was screwed.

Seras' pointed ears stood erect and her eyes narrowed as she saw the drones drag the boy away. Man, I'm probably gonna regret this tomorrow... Making sure her gun was loaded, she slammed the door open and proceeded to fill each security drone with lead. After the last machine fell to the ground with a metallic bang, she blew the smoke away from the barrel of her gun and holstered it. She frowned and walked over to where the boy lay. "You alive?"

Hiskue growned and groggily got to his feet. "As far as I can tell I'm alive. Why'd you help me anyway?" Feeling as though he was about to fall over he put a hand on the wall then collapsed with a yelp as his whole arm flared with pain. Hiskue got to his knees and put his other hand on his arm and swore under his breath, it felt like a bad break but he couldn't be sure untill he saw a doctor about it.

Seras raised an eyebrow and kneeled next to the boy. "Let's just say I hate robots. You were just lucky enough not to be hit by a stray bullet." She frowned as she got a good look at the boy's arm. "Hate to say the obvious, but that looks really bad."

Hiskue grimaced in pain and grinned a bit"Heh, I guess it could be worse, I coulda fallen on my head. So you'll probably want to get out of here before the cops arrive, or you'll get into almost as much trouble as I'll be in if I stick around any longer. Thanks for the help." With that he walked down the alleyway, and began to walk down one of the less busy streets and started for his clients resturant. First I'll deliver this damn recipie then I'll go to the hospital.

Hiskue was limping down the street, when he noticed a cop up ahead, and swore under his breath. The officer, who happend to be Roshido, noticed Hiskue and the blood coming from his arm. Stopping him he asked"What the hell happend to you?" Hiskue who hoped he was already pale from the pain and didn't go any paler from fright replied"I got caught between a Free-runner and some security bots sir...my arm got broken and the Runner got away. I was on my way to the police station to report it but now I hope it will be reported through you...and mabey something can be done about this." Hiskue hoped beyond hope that the cop would belive his story and start chasing after another Runner...it was a dog-eat-dog world after all.

Cory pulled up behind the other cop, the free runner in her sight. She stopped her car and got out, her gun gripped tightly in her hand. "What do we have here?" he asked the cop and she walked up to the behind the free runner, a strangly happy simle on her face. "What happened boy?" he asked sweetly.

Roshido looked at the new officer and frowned,And who the hell are you? I don't remember seeing you at the last manditory meeting of Law-Inforcers. Anyways I've got this under control. What we have here is an honest citizen who was harmed because of a damned Free-Runner. I was about to radio dispatch and have them send a unit out here to search the area for the Runner's trail." Hiskue only nodded then gasped in pain as he accidentaly moved his broken arm."Ummm...officers? May I leave now? I need to get this arm checked out soon."
