I'm curious to see how you happened to come across the series. Was it recommened to you by a friend? Did you randomly pick it up at a book store?
I was actually looking up books with GLBTQ themes, and I came across this list of books. The Nightrunner series was one of the only fantasy books on this list, and being the fantasy nut that I am, I had to get it!
What about you?

My friend was completely devoted to the series, and one time in class I saw her sighing and wiping her eyes, I asked her what was wrong and she showed me the second book. I was curious so Ia sked to borrow the series. The rest is history. Looking back now, she could have been in the dead Nysander part or the fake Seregil part... both made me misty-eyed...

At this year's Comic-Con, I attended a panel on the evolution of the fantasy genre (creatively titled "Evolution of Fantasy"), and Lynn was one of the guests. At that time, I was getting to the point where I feared that everything in epic (i.e. non-modern) fantasy that could be done, had been done, but hers actually sounded like something that hasn't been done a million times. Coincidentally, she had a signing session the next day, at which they would be giving out free copies of Luck in the Shadows. Having nothing better to do at the time, I got my book and got it signed. I sat down to read it at lunch, and I was hooked.
