-- ❤ -- Ⓛ ⓞ ⓥ ⓔ -- ❤ -- ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ The majestic third music room was empty of customers, yet even more striking now that the clubs activities had drawn to a close. The remnants of that day’s theme littered the plush carpeted floors, and the warm hues of the setting sun painted the pale walls different shades of orange and coral and pink, each golden decorative piece flickering with the fiery gleam of the sun’s rays. Tamaki had performed beautifully that afternoon, a whopping eighty-four percent of their female visitors designating him as their preferred host as opposed to the usual seventy percent. This could be largely credited to the fact that their Egyptian theme had rendered him the customary role of Pharaoh, despite the fact that his golden hair and sapphire eyes were quite contradictory to the typical look of an Middle Easterner. His costume consisted of a silken wrap to be worn about his waist and an elaborate headpiece, his brilliant eyes lined thickly in black eyeliner; he was covered from head to toe in sparkling jewels and wrought golden pieces of every different kind. He shimmered every time he moved and was quite the spectacle to behold, not to mention that being bare from the waist up had its advantages. He was aware that his lean shoulders, tapered sides, and taunt stomach were effective weapons in the art of pleasing women and felt no shame in showing them off accordingly. And of course being who he was, he would settle for no less than the most important role regarding their activities as hosts, and as President he almost always had the first choice and the last say. Of course, all the more intricate details and planning were all accredited to the club’s very own ‘Shadow King’; Tamaki either failed to see this or opted to take no particular note of it- it was he himself who determined the theme, and Kyouya’s task was merely to put his plan into action. Tamaki could undoubtedly do these things himself, but he was, in his own mind, far too busy doing other Host-ly things to trouble himself with such trivial things.
Throughout the course of the day, the French boy seated himself on a custom made throne- created especially for this event- and allowed himself to be fanned by either the twins, when he absolutely demanded it, or Mori when he was unable to convince the devils to do his bidding. He had tried on several occasions to convince Haruhi to feed him grapes, but had failed in every attempt and was left to eat them on his own or when being particularly childish, not at all. From the center of the room, he was able to bathe in the attention of all of his customers at once while at the same time observing the activities going on about him to be sure that everything was running smoothly. According to their Vice President the day had been one of the most successful thus far and the profits were quite large. Tamaki wasted no time in taking most of the credit, waltzing about the room and blabbing about his fantastic ideas and listing themes he planned on doing later in the year, taking the time to compliment each of the others when he remembered to do so. Most of the club members took this time to depart, to Tamaki’s frustration, as though they hadn’t a care for what their King had to say. "And I feel as though our Egyption oasis was too similar to the tropical theme we did a few months ago, so our next-" Slam! The King was cut short, his finger left dangling uselessly in the air before him.
Due to an incident that had occurred just before closing, Tamaki had remained behind while the others took their leave, dabbing at his clothing with a silken handkerchief. While he had been wooing one of the customers, he’d somehow managed to cause one of the girls to carelessly spill her goblet upon him, staining his lap a deep purple. He remained in front of the window, his brows drawn with concentration, unable to figure out why the stain failed to remove itself. He didn’t blame the girl at all, but was, nonetheless, more than slightly agitated at having damage done to the precious costume he’d spent so much time designing. He recovered rather easily from having the greater part of the club's members completely ignore him on their way out. ”Aah,” he grumbled, ”what a bother. I don’t see how commoners can stand washing their own clothes!” He straightened up and cast the cloth aside, resigned. He set his hands upon his hips and looked towards the window, just in time to see the sun’s great round orb disappearing entirely over the edge of the horizon, turning the sky a deep crimson with purple and blue lining its exterior. ”How beautiful!” he exclaimed loudly, pressing a hand to the cool glass, his face alight with the characteristic child-like innocence only those who were alone with him had the chance to witness. Outside the façade of a cool prince, Tamaki was a sweet and caring individual, if a bit egocentric. His heart was in the right place.
His school uniform was thrown over the back of the seat nearest him carelessly, the wrinkles he hadn't bothered to smooth from it deepening with every passing second. "Come look," he said, turning to the room's last remaining occupant, his tone demanding and eager. He hadn't the sense to ask kindly or to tack a 'please' at the end of his statement, feeling that the moment would be lost if he didn't display his urgency. He lifted a hand and straightened the ridiculously large ornate headpiece, having already removed the tons of bobby pins that had been required to hold the hefty thing in place but enjoying the last few moments when he'd be able to wear it without seeming wholly ridiculous. His sapphire eyes glimmered and a sweet smile pulled at the corners of his mouth.

Haruhi sighed, glad the host club was over for the day and she was free to change out of her ridiculous outfit that Tamaki had insisted she wear. Not only was it as revealing as it could be without giving away her gender, but it was far too ornate for her liking. Alas, this was the daily fare, and she supposed she should be used to it by now. 'Mother in heaven, please don't let Father ever find out about these cosplays,' she thought. 'He'll either freak out and try to kill Tamaki-sempai again or he'll freak out over how cute I look or whatever.' Mentally shaking her head at the image of Ranka's face should he ever catch something like this, Haruhi went to gather her regular uniform to change back when she heard Tamaki's order.
'Rich b*****d, thinks he can order everyone around at will,' she griped internally before walking over to the window with Tamaki. "What is it, Sempai?" she asked, wishing to appease him quickly so she could change.

-- ❤ -- Ⓛ ⓞ ⓥ ⓔ -- ❤ -- ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ It was then that the lords mind went a miss, he knew Haruhi was left unanswered; but couldn't care. Was it already so late in the day that the sun was saying it's goodbye's to the horizon? In a total act of being absent minded, he turned to Haruhi to swiftly fetch her hand and drag her to his current state in front of the window. The scenery around them couldn't of been less perfect: sunset, quiet, just the two of them alone. Actually, it felt almost too good to be true.
While it should of made him paranoid and weary, he managed to some how pull off an amazing feat by instead being nonchalant; astonding really. In awe, he completely neglected the fact he'd forgot to let go of her hand. Was it all a clever ploy, or was he really just that stupid? At the current moment, it was hard to say. Simply beautiful, had he taken heed of his actions at any point, maybe then he'd of realized - but it was much too late. "It's almost too perfect, don't you think?" He had a feeling deep down that the brunette probably wasn't enjoying herself. Not just now, but in general. While he did try his hardest, he still was oblivious on how to improve. Ah, another time another day. Caught in the moment, and in Haruhi's case, stuck; he let out a content sigh.
Nothing could destroy it now,not him, not her not... hold on, something suddenly clicked in his mind. Normally Kyouya stuck around too just as long as he would until things were situated. So...where was he? More importantly, it was by far too pleasant. Not just amongst themselves, but the rooms atmosphere. Feeling he may very well of been giving it too much thought he shook his head from the distractions. "You aren't mad that you had to stay behind... are you?" His hues left the sight of the suns set and turned to Haruhi. The light brought out just the right features of her face, and he had to remind himself to breath. Doing just that, he quickly regained composure before losing it. A challenging task, but he could pull it off if determined enough. Yes, he'd do anything for her; no matter the great of length or distance. While he'd often keep thoughts like this inside, his eyes spoke upon different levels. Awaiting the answer, his head fell slightly to the right and the smile he had held before, had never really faded. To wonder what she might of been thinking by then, well.. it would of been wrong right? Maybe not so much wrong, but more uncalled for. So instead of the usual theatrics, he waited patiently.

Haruhi couldn't say she appreciated the way Tamaki just grabbed her hand and yanked her closer to the window as if she were a rag doll, but then she saw the view that had him so entranced. Even she had to admit, it was pleasant, as if something out of a picture book. She'd been about to reply when Tamaki turned to face her, and something leaped inside her chest rather uncomfortably as she looked into his unusual eyes. The way the dying light played across his fair features really accented them well. Strange how she'd never noticed it before. "Sempai," Haruhi softly replied, losing her train of thought easier than usual.

-- ❤ -- Ⓛ ⓞ ⓥ ⓔ -- ❤ -- ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ There it was, the moment. The moment he'd in the depths of his mind, been yearning for. Now what? He'd never compromised it within himself that he'd ever achieve such great distances without the possibility of having help from things merchandisable. With a gulp too hard to swallow, he slowly tried to make sense of the situation, but failed. In almost the tone of a drunken stammer, he replied to her voice: "Y-yes..?" Had he any idea of what this moment would lead to, or rather could if he knew how to play his cards right then maybe...just maybe. However, it was apparent he'd only hold dumb luck in his hand. So, both circumstances were highly un-liked within his favor.. pity.
Somehow, it was almost too cute how he'd find himself at a loss of words around her. Feeling a complete mess, he shyly went to look away from her; but something told him to stop. Blond locks cascaded to the level of his eyebrows, and even though it seemed he held a sudden lack in interest; he still gazed in her general direction. "Y-you..never answered my question." There it was, and there it went. The necessity to break the sudden tension. Right? That was all he needed! It had to be! How could there possibly be anything left to grasp after such a devastating blow? He had won! Or better put, just lost. Honestly, how stupid could he be without being aware of it? That question would forever be unknown.
Having the sudden charm of a five year old on his side, he kept a close eye on the other just to be safe. What now? Surely he couldn't salvage what he destroyed. Why would he want to? Blinking innocently enough, he'd begun self-consciously biting at his lower lip. "I guess you can't be mad though i-if you're still here..." His head turned back to align with hers, and once more there eyes met. No words were said, but the once-again tension amongst them was thick enough to be cut with a knife. His mind was slowly returning to as normal as it could grasp then, "Oh.. i still need to change, don't I?"
Laughter erupted from the silence, but not of the over-baring type; more nervous than anything else. "I knew I was forgetting something..." His slender arm lifted and went behind the back of his head to give way to a shake of the head. "I always forget something though!" Trying to make light of the situation, he began to ramble from that point on. Lists of this and that upon his childhood, stories of before Haruhi joining the host club, how he formed it...you name it. Really, all of it was just a clever cover-up that even he had no idea himself in which or what he was doing.
Something felt unfinished then, but what? He paused mid-sentence suddenly. As if his mind [or parts of] had all conjured together within itself to debate upon the moment at hand and then thus unanimously came to a decision. He was still alone with Haruhi. Really? Still? By now even if he didn't put the thought into it, someone would of busted in to randomly interject. Oh what a blessing in disguise! Finally some heart to heart father/daughter time. Yes yes! Just what he needed to...to... do what? It was clear she didn't think of him like that, and yet he still jested on a daily basis. So why? Why did this moment, right here, right now.. felt like it mattered so much more than the world could ever offer? He sighed then, confused and uncertain were the least of his concerns. What would he do? What could he do? Why was he so profusely talking amongst himself as if he'd get some answer?!
Frustrated from his own inner thoughts, he had been blankly staring at Haruhi for the while within them; completely unaware of it. In a sudden spazz attack from realizing atleast that much, he went to move forward and apologize if he may of creeped her out.. but upon doing so had completely forgot that before he'd went to drag her over prior to their newly time spent.. he really...REALLY should of fixed that rug. Sure enough, as he went into his normality's; he tripped and fell directly ontop of her. Oh karma..

Haruhi blinked as Tamaki spoke, hardly letting her get a word in edgewise as he started to babble as soon as they broke eye contact. Looking back outside, Haruhi used the opportunity to clear her mind. What had come over her? She'd never really been interested in boys before, always wanting to focus on her studies so she could become a great woman like her mother. Besides, most guys just seemed like friends, well the Hosts mostly did anyway. She'd never admit it, but she'd grown to like her family of brothers, especially when they didn't usually treat her differently just because she was a girl. The boy disguise that most of the rest of the school saw did help with her studies though, not many people bothered her outside of Host Club hours.
Speaking of... "Hai Tamaki-sempai, we should both get dressed. These clothes are really bothersome," Haruhi responded, vaguely aware of what Tamaki had been talking about. Really, it was sometimes a credit to how well she knew Tamaki that she could follow any rant of his by now and be only half paying attention. The other half was all egotistical ranting, usually. He really should save that for his customers, they appreciated it while nobody else did. It really was a wonder that Tamaki was as old as he was and things like that never occurred to him. Haruhi supposed it came from growing up rich and having everyone dote on him constantly. Guess he couldn't help that.
Looking back up at Tamaki to see if she was essentially free to go change or not yet, she was again caught slightly off-guard by Tamaki's sun-highlighted azure orbs staring at her. She blinked in confusion a moment until Tamaki seemed moving toward her. Instinctively, Haruhi took a step back, tripping as well though that wasn't nearly as bad as Tamaki landing on her two seconds later. Great, just great. "Tamaki-sempai, get off me," she commanded, highly uncomfortable.

He didn't think much of it. He hadn't ever given it any thought until Hikaru told him. Ever since that night, just before they were going to sleep... "I like her, you know? I really do..." At the time, all he did was just sit on that bed, trying to let his duplicate know it was alright, that he didn't mind.
But he did mind.
It 'minded' the heck out of him. He felt incredibly jealous. He didn't even really know which he was jealous of... Haruhi, for taking his brother? Or his other self, Hikaru, for deciding Haruhi for himself? So the thoughts just stayed in his head, swarming from time to time.. But he could never let any of them know. They might never talk to him again... And... He really just wanted them to be happy.
So when Kaoru finished getting dressed that day, he didn't think much of the situation. Just as he adjusted his tie and stepped out of the dressing room, he saw Tamaki and Haruhi, together, on the cold, hard floor. For a moment, he just stood there, unresponsive. He wasn't really so much shocked than he was.... confused. "...T-Tono...?"

Just as he was going to lean from, he heard a familar voice from not too far away. Immediately with the soft-spoken voice being so recognizable he swallowed fast and hoped he'd be able to think of something off the top of his head fast. "Oh! It's not what you think!" Blinking with the utmost confusion, his eyes peered between the girl then the other boy. Okay, so maybe that should of been the last thing he mentioned - too late now. At least from hurtful past experiences being caught in the same scenario, he knew to move off of the latter not in question.
He didn't believe Kaoru to be the violent type, but there was a first for everything. Speak of firsts, where was Hikaru? He didn't imagine that they couldn't hold separate lives and in this instance was glad it wasn't both of them but it almost made him feel worse. Off track and still at a loss for words, he was left to kneel there before the younger twin hoping that he'd understand the situation; and who knows.. maybe find it a bit funny. "You see I was showing Haruhi the sunset and how beautiful it was and by thinking about the sunsets that beautiful i started thinking about all things beautiful which of course included myself and i guess somehow i must of lost track of where i was or who i was with and i tripped and then.."
The rambling ensued for what may of sounded to a passer-by for hours. Surely Kaoru would hold compassion for him! He had to! Or for his sake of not possibly having some horrible tricks pulled on him later, hoped for the fore mentioned. Now looking between both beings within the room aside himself, he'd suddenly felt a cold chill run down his spine. Was it a good thing? Far from likely. It just seemed that much more eerie being caught in a situation like this with the less unlikely twin than the both of them. What was the old saying? Something about its those that are more quiet that are more likely to..something...something... it didn't matter. Either way, he knew this moment was going to take a while to diminish, and oh how he hated to know the truth. "Honest Kaoru! That's all it was!" Taking a moment to gaze to Haruhi, his eyes were pleading for assistance on his case; hoping she could gain what he was begging for without having to say it.

Haruhi looked up to spot Kaoru, mentally cursing. At least he wasn't known for violent outbursts, but it was just as bad to be caught in such an embarrassing positon. Pushing herself up, Haruhi scooted away from Tamaki lest he fall on her yet again, that was becoming a really annoying habit of his. "You really should be more careful, Sempai," Haruhi chastised, standing and trying to make sure she was still modestly covered- her costume for that day wasn't to be trusted in that department. She desperately hoped Kaoru wouldn't make a big thing of this, and that he'd not tell anyone else, so that she could escape and go change back into her regular clothes. Once more the horrifying image of her father catching a glimpse of her dressed like this ran through her head, and she shook it away.
