I prefer concert season over marching season, but football games are fun. Next year I get to be section leader for marching season. I'm probably going to be the nicest and not so yelly section leader the flute section has had.

The on campus flutes are still having dinner on mwf when we would during marching season plus occasional full section dinners. We might not be as close as say the horns but we're enough that we'll talk to each other outside and most of us are in some ensemble together in the spring so we're not really done... just moved indoors.

My Marching Band season just ended. I felt so singled out because we were supposed to do a dance to a song and me being the only male in the section didnt really do anything. =/

I prefer concert band season I think, though I do adore going to competitions. The only problem I've had with marching season lately was my band director. The shows we did in 10th and 11th grade weren't that interesting, but this year was the worst. The band was obnoxious to our new director so we only went to one competition. So, I sorta prefer concert.

And honestly, even my old flute doesn't like the cold that much...I absolutely HATE it when I'm even remotely out of tune. So, I sorta prefer concert.

Marching band was a lot of fun, and playing at football games was great too(good excuses for hanging out with friends)But I love the more complicated pieces of concert band, the physical movement parts of marching band equals the musical movement parts of concert band and we play pepband for the basketball and volleyball games too. so it's great year round!

I love love love marching season!!!!!!
It's my favorite time of year...
I like the music's better... and performing in a show is WAY different than on stage
Marching band is basically my life loll
Marching band > Concert band
