Hm, really cool read if I do say so.
My belief though, is with the hash market being controlled by a lot of gangs will ultimately invite violence into the community, however, dealers who aren't affiliated with any gangs seem okay to me.
I think it's a good idea to keep gangs out of freetown, and with the community being so anti-violent, it can't be too difficult to keep the gangs out.
And I believe the police only cause trouble there.
It's obvious they're trying to regain control of the land by attempting privatizing ownership of the homes.
As if it isn't enough the government is taxing them?
I'm anarchist-communist, so my views on property are that everyone owns capital.
I like the sound of the town, minus how the gay community was treated in 2004, or sometime around there.
But they should of tried to sort of cut back on the loud partying, it is kind of rude.

I think its a wonderfull and very rare place, thers been so much trouble there over the years made worse by the media dubbing it Denmarks drug stronghold, but the danish police say they have no intention of keeping a permanent presence there

And it seems all the problems they have are do to media, government and drugs, so if left alone would it be a better place?

I think it would be an awesome place to go.
The gang problem seems to have stemmed from the open hash trade being ended. The U.S. could learn from this, illegalizing things is what allows gangs to prosper, in fact they boomed in the U.S. because prohibition gave mobsters an industry. If the open hash market was reinstated, the gangs would probably disappear.
I also think the treatment of Dunst was pretty messed up, even if they were loud.

very revealing of the state's true intentions...
