 ♥ So my English class was having a discussion about memories and we were discussing how old we were when we had our first memory. Then our teacher asked us if the way we remembered that memory was through our eyes, or like, the TV.
And it really got me thinking.. If our parents kept telling us stories of when we were little, couldn't we technically create memories for ourselves?
Things to discuss:
- Earliest memory
- The point of view
- If we can create our own memories ♥

I want a girl who knows what's best
First memory: Playing Megaman X and getting my a** kicked by the very first boss (which you couldn't actually beat, but I didn't know that at the time).
I was very unhappy...until I fought the penguin boss. Damn, he was a fun boss. Probably the easiest, too.
I want a girl with shoes that cut
And eyes that burn like cigarettes

I pretty much remember being about 3+ pretty clearly. For some reason, nothing before that. Unfortunately I saw a lot of people die growing up in my early years. I never understood it at the time. Like I'd go to play with someone and they were dead, or they'd be killed. And even when they were I'd always shake them, asking them to get up, but they never did. I think death was hard for me to absorb back then. I always thought they just hurt and sleeping. I used to try so long to wake them up. Sometimes older people would take me away and tell me there was nothing I could do, but I didn't understand. Of course now I do. I remember the one toy I had for years... a stuffed rabbit. It was really worn out and we had to sew it together so many times lol. I loved it though. I remember moving a lot, almost all the time it seems. But I got to meet a lot of good people too. Now that I think of it, my earliest years were probably my hardest. I'm just glad they're behind me smile

I was born with a severe case of club foot. As such my first memory is of when I was sixth months. Because of the cast I couldn't turn while crawling, so I learned to pivot on my backside to get around corners.
Thats my first memory: Spinning on my butt.

But seriously.. o you guys think we could technically make our own memories?
We're reading this novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four and the main guy rewrites history. Like, he could erase records of them (that was his job) and he would create records of people who never even existed then mark them as "dead"
So i was wondering if we didn't have these sources (like our parents-telling us what happened in the past) if we'd know how much we knew now...
Edit: And then there's those events in our life that our parents tell us about, but when we remember them, we see ourselves. should our memories be seen through our eyes? ♥

Well sure our memory and recollection of things can alter with time... (become hazy) And then some of our memories are also just dreams that we had.
My earliest memory, I was about 3... and I slid down a purple slide at church, and I think my mom came to pick me up... It was during Sunday school of course.
Funny though... Apparently I been really good buddies with one of my friends for a really long time... But I hardly remember doing much with him before I was like... I wanna say 10.
I do remember stuff pretty well.

My clearest memory was 3 years old... Mmmm oh yeah, well, I liked to be with my brother, so I constantly clung unto him, one day he just pushed me and we had some barrels filled with toys, the barrels just fell on me and I was like choking there and he went to play with my cousins, when I finally got out from there I found a puzzle game of a stegosaurus and a turtle in a lake, and I kept trying to forcefully putting them together, and my mom with my aunt came and showed me how to put them together...
When I finished the puzzle I was so delighted that I scrambled the puzzle once once again, and did it once again, and repeated it for weeks XD
And I can remember that I liked to put things in the plugging so I was constantly flying, I remember it felt warm, and it gave me tickles XD but that was everyday, so I can't actually remember how old I was hehe sweatdrop

My Fourth birthday. I was a night owl even then. I was watching T.V. because the only time I got to watch what I want to watch was when no one else was around. I would rewatch all the Disney tapes mostly....
I think the other reason for me being up was because of Nightmares...
Anyway, it was my birthday and I forgot (I think...) and my Dad woke up real early and came downstairs. I was thinking 'Oh noes! I've been caught!'. My parents didn't like me watching T.V. so late. Anyway, he comes down and says "Becca! It's your birthday!"
I don't remember much after that... I'm pretty sure that I didn't get in trouble though...
