I know we can't chat in this over the web, but I just want to add my tidbit about this language. It is a beautiful and graceful language if you can do it right. I know enough to get by, but I would love to have the opportunity to actually talk to someone who knows the language well and to learn from them. There is a deaf girl who comes to my work, but she doesn't know much (she's only 7). But anyway, anyone know the language?

I really wish. I love sign language... It's very pretty (yes, pretty), and a good way to communicate. I'd like to learn it to meet new people and just pretty much to accomplish something (:

well,
my aunt works with,
i dont wanna sound rude,
but mentally handicap adults.
and some of them know sign language.
so i know a little bit of sign language.
i know the alphabet, mother, father, and a few other things.

Haha! ASL, wow. I don't think I'd be able to live without it! I have a weird distaste for actually using my voice, it bothers me for some reason, the whole talking thing. Anyway, so ya, I love this language! I can talk with some of my friends without even having to open my mouth which is absolutely wonderful! And there's so much more to it than just making signs with our hands. It's like a whole different world. Anyway, ya, just wanted to post my opinion. XP

I would also love to learn it.
It would be awesome to sign to someone via web-cam, lol. If I ever met someone else that knew it too. That would actually be a kool way to learn it as well. smile
