Quest thread basics This is what is required in your quest thread in BURN. However, adding more can help show your dedication.Intro
Tell us a little about yourself and/or a little about the background of your quest.Quest/Goal
Show us what you want! Whether it's just one item or a dream avatar, post it here. Just make sure, whatever it is, that you are committed to achieving your goal. This is what you are saving up for. If you're spending the gold people helped you earn on other things, then you're going to have some pretty miffed donors after you.Progress
It's important to show people how your quest is coming along. That way they see that you're working towards it rather than just waiting on donations. This is also the place to say when you've gotten an item if you happen to be questing more than one.
Donations
This part is really important. This is where you show your appreciation for the people that have helped you achieve your goal. These people have put a lot of time into Gaia and earning gold and have decided to share some of their time with you. Do not take them for granted! Especially when all you have to do is list their name here.Thread Extras If you feel like having a thread that has a bit more to it, here are a few other things you can choose to add.
Rules
Some people like to remind everyone to follow Gaia's ToS and have a few more rules in place since it is their thread. The rules are usually things like no advertising and no begging, because they are common offenses. It can be really annoying and pretty rude.
Affiliates/Links out
Say someone made you some really nice banners for your quest or a friend has a quest too - this is where you list them and the links to their thread.Contests
I know, "But I'm questing - how am I going to get anywhere if I'm giving stuff away?!" Well, contests will draw people to your thread and thus more donors. Often times it's a bump contest, but you can get creative. The prize is totally up to you.Whatever else you can think of!
Some people like to display the art they've been given. Others like to have their clickables. Add whatever you like - it's your thread, make it personal, and have fun with it!

Begging has a lot of "please i'll do anything!!! crying crying crying crying " or "i'm so poor donate to me cry "
These are things you want to refrain from when posting your quest thread.It's disrespectful because everyone else has worked for what they have, and by begging, it's like you feel you shouldn't have to work for it. Questing is simply stating what you are trying to achieve and that you'd gladly accept some help in getting there.

 There is a plethora of ways to make gold here on Gaia.
Posting in the forums is a big one - a whopping 75 gold on your first post. And that's just the beginning. Just talking with people will get you a lot of gold as well. Comment on profiles, write in your journal, play games - want more ways to earn gold? Check out this informative page.
But you want to know how a lot of the millionaires do it? There's vending - playing the marketplace. Vending is a whole different thing. It's mainly about following the trends, buying low, and selling high. I'm not going to get into the whole thing because there are whole guilds that teach you how to vend. Check out the Gaia Resources subforum for more info. This is a guide for questing, not a guide for vending xD
If you're, however, not eager to learn the art of vending, there's a very simple get-rich-quick alternative. Booty Grab *O* Find yourself a good thread loaded with amazing aquariums designed just for the purpose of getting more gold, and play to your heart's content. Stick to it for a while, and you'll rack in a lot of gold - take my word for it.

November 2008 and only 2 posts =/
Well I a, currently questing for the item in my sig, I have seen people with with it equiped and there are several options to pick from, I am diggin' the reaper and I would love small donations towards it.
In the rules you stated that begging consists of 'Please i'l do anything' and 'i'm so poor please donate to me' ... Youforgot to mention 'I got haccked please donate to me' ... Haha I have see nthat so many times, I laugh when I see it, if you are stupid enough to click one of those links in the PM's your'e getting it's your own fault, and second, why would you lie about it, I see about 10 people with that in their sigs a day and there is no way that 10 people a day get hacked, or at least, there is no way I would see 10 people a day that got hacked.

Don't really understand the difference between questing now with begging. But it seems you get more help from questing. This game sure is hard with the small amount of gold each time per post, comments and polling. It seems impossible for me to reach what I really want... cry

 Questing is when you earn the gold YOURSELF and try to get the item. Begging is you're not relying on yourself to earn the gold, but begging others - literally begging for the item.

Its not always your own fault when you get hacked so get over yourself

Please set up your own quest thread in this subforum or in Gaia's main forums.
Not only will it show people that you are actually working hard for your quest, but it will also get you more donations =P
