As most of you already know, I was the original owner of MSI--Harry Potter. When I became too busy to run the guild (about half a year ago) I sold it to another gaian who I hoped would take care of it.
He didn't.
And then, just recently, when I asked him to sell the guild back to me, he decided to try and scam me. He asked for a ridiculous amount of gold, and I decided I'd had enough.
My poor guild has been inactive for over half a year now, and I wasn't going to give triple-digits to get it back.
Instead, I created a new guild under the same name and invited many of the old members to rejoin me.
There are just a few things I want to get out in the open. So please tolerate me as I make a rather lengthy welcome post. smile
1. I have copied over many of the old threads from the previous guild, because I believe we had a lot of good discussions going.
However, I did NOT copy over all of your previous responses. This will not only give you the opportunity to post replies to things I know you already have opinions about, but will help the guild's posts grow, and show how your opinions may have changed over the past year or so. So feel free to post replies in any or all the threads, even if you feel you had already done so in the old guild.
2. I kept many of the same old subforums, but DID combine the art/fiction ones because of a lack of funds.
3. I am fully intending on keeping our old banners, since they were so well made, and I mostly kept the name of the new guild the same. I ask that you all update your banners with the new ones, deleting the old ones (if you still have them on your sig/profile). And I also ask that you recruit your friends/acquaintances.
I spent the entire night rebuilding this guild from nothing, and I would REALLY love to see it grow and flourish the way the old one had before I sold it.
4. Please, PLEASE, if you are still a member of the previous MSI guild, quit. I don't believe that the new owner deserves such awesome and fun members, and there's nothing left there to enjoy anyway.
5. If you have any spare gold that you can donate, I would really appreciate it. Because I bought this guild brand new, ALL the subforums had to be bought brand new, and I still don't have ALL of them up. Anything you can spare would be welcomed.
6. I am currently looking for crew members! If you are interested in being crew for this guild, please let me know. I could use a good crew to help me run the guild when my schedule fills up, so we won't have a repeat of last time!
