Soooo........ any word on this yet?
I was wondering if anyone would want to come to Newfoundland. Or even Labrador or something. But Newfoundland would be cooler cuz I'd have a clue where I was and what I was doing. Plus you might not be able to understand the Labradorians as much as the townies of St. John's.
I hear some of you going WTF is she talking about?
Map 1 Map 2 Newfoundland is the island, and Labrador is the landlocked part.
Ok. Or else we could go to Halifax or somesuch, because it'd be cheaper for most of you probably.
But anyways. I could put up 7 or 8 people at my house, if we squish. If we don't squish, then less than that. Or we could rent a place somewhere, like we did before. I could look around for that. Newfoundland is relatively cheap, although prices are starting to go up as Ontario crashes to the ground. But that's another story.
I also have friends who might possibly lend me sleeping space, if we wanted to divide up the group at night. That would maybe kinda suck, but it wouldn't matter that much, cuz it would save us money. And they live close by, so it's not like it'd be a problem.
What are your reactions to this idea? Yay, nay, meh, possibly, Imnotgoingonthetripanywaysoidontcare?
Gimme some feedback please! I would LOVE to have you guys come here. Seriously. And... if we did it in late July we could see the icebergs! Come on, how can you resist that???

There's tons of things to do (or is it tonnes ninja ). Sea kayaking and whale watching tours are a possibility, as well as a million short or long trails to hike. We could grab someone's car and go see the place where God threw rocks at Newfoundland. I've never been there, but apparently it looks like the moon.
Also, there's a hyperactive night life. Aaaaaand. You only have to be 19 to get in. There's 32 bars and clubs on one street and plenty more elsewhere. Other than that, there's live music practically every night in the summer, with like a $5 cover. Um... Restaurants and stuff of course. And open playgrounds. Those places can be fun. ninja There's a lot of historical sites, too, since St. John's is the oldest city in North America.
Oh, and there's paintball, which would cost like $40 -$100 apiece, depending on how many paintballs you use.
