Last Thursday and Friday I was in the hospital due to an acute gall bladder attack. Around 1 or 1:30 Thursday morning I started feeling pain under my ribcage and between my shoulderblades (which I learned later are symptoms of a gall bladder attack) and since I'd had these pains before I took something for them and decided it would be a good idea to go to bed. Unfortunately, the pain didn't let up and for the next ... three hours I tried desperately to get some sleep with no luck at all. In that time, the pain had gotten so bad that I'd vomitted, which soon after I decided to call my mom who had left around four to go to the gym. Luckily enough, she was just finishing and would be home soon.

After contacting my regular doctor (who concluded I was having a gall bladder attack) said I should head to the ER, which I did. The nice (and I really do mean nice) nurse staff all said I was having a gall bladder attack. My arrival there was around five and unfortunately I would have to wait a couple hours until the UltraSound technicians came on duty or whatever. Well, it seemed like more than two hours, but I could be mistaken because at that point I didn't really care because I'd been put on some very nice narcotics for the pain. I FINALLY got some sleep for a while.

At some point I needed to use the facilities, which triggered vomiting spats due to the movement. After a while, I finally got the UltraSound done and learned after nurse who was on duty informed me that I had gall stones (one being the size of a small gumball), which triggered the attack. Well, since the thing had stones in it and it was all inflammed, they said it needed to be removed so la-di-da, around 3 or 3:30 Thursday afternoon, a very nice lady surgeon did just that. So I now have three small incisions and one large one at my belly button where my gall bladder was removed. I stayed overnight so they could observe me, etc. I now have a two week recovery period. Oh, yes ... I've been instructed to eat healthier, too, and considering the massive amount of pain I just went through ... it's been a wake-up call.

So, there are the facts, Jack. ;D

That's a little freaky... I hope your feeling OK-ish now though.
