Welcome To Word Play Welcome weary traveller; come and rest your feet. You have found yourself within the walls of the Word Play roleplaying guild, a guild dedicated to literate and mature roleplayers.
I am Flynn_MacCallister. You are more than welcome to call me Flynn. I am the captain of this guild, and am therefore the person to whom you should all queries, comments and complaints.
If you will indulge me, I shall guide you through the rules of the guild, give you a brief tour of the boards and sub-boards, and try to pre-empt some of the questions you may have.

The Rules 1. As is the case everywhere on the site, the Gaia TOS and Rules and Guidelines apply within the guild. Please ensure you are familiar with them.
2. Harassment will not be tolerated. If you feel you are being unfairly treated by another guild member -- even if that guild member is me -- please bring it to my attention. Usually the problem will be no more than a misunderstanding, and will be simple to resolve. Severe problems should also be reported in the normal way.
3. Literacy and maturity are necessary for participation within this guild. If you feel that a member is not behaving appropriately for the guild, please bring them to my attention, and I shall see what can be arranged.
4. Please ensure that your threads go into the appropriate fora. That is what they are there for.
5. Do not write your posts in ridiculous colours. Bulk text must be written in a dark colour. Posts not conforming to this rule will be edited or removed.

The Word Play Fora The Main Forum. This is the forum where the roleplaying threads belong. Any member is welcome to start a roleplay here at any time.
Supporting Material. In this subforum reside the threads containing character profiles and background information for your roleplays. Please note that it is not necessary for your roleplay to have profiles or supporting material at all: this is left to your own discretion when you start a roleplay.
General Banter. This is the OOC forum. Please keep it spam-free. Inappropriate threads will be removed without warning.
The Filing Cabinet. Herein lies the history of this guild: past roleplays and threads from previous incarnations of the guild. These threads are kept for interest and for inspiration. It is a bit of a mess, but you are welcome to browse if you please.

Possible Questions How do I start a roleplay?
Anyone may start a game at any time. I recommend, however, posting a thread in General Banter first, with its title preceded by a "[P]".
You may also like to advertise your game in the Barton OOC. In doing so, do point out that it is in a guild and that the guild is free to join; one needs only submit a writing sample in their join request for the guild.
More as I think of them...
