Day 1.
There isnt much to say about day one, a seed was planted only by chance and it is only by chance that Sarah ever met Mark. That seed oddly enough was a seed, sunflower seed to be exact. Some people like things more than should, some people like porn other people like sunflower seeds; unhealthly addiction on both sides. Some people have a proper disdain for everything, like porn and sunflower seed; probably for the best anyway. Either way at the end of the day Mark always like putting things in his clothing pockets before he went to sleep. Its easier to wake up knowing where you things are i suppose, besides it called for rain the next day and Mark being a water sign knew that organization was key.
Day 2.
Sarah likes malls, Mark likes girls who go to malls; boy meets girl. Rain was what wet the seed in this case, i dont think many people can thank rain for much. Id like say that a girl without a raincoat or umbrella is a sucker for a man with either or sunflower seeds. Now Sarah didnt have an umbrella or a raincoat, for some reason or another mark had both. Well not for some reason but for the reason that his sunflower seed were in his coat pocket. Now here with both in his arms and a fair manner of confidence. She introduced herself as he handed her the umbrella and well fate led the way.
Day 3
Coffee early morning before work, it was interesting to watch them chat like old friends. They didnt feel the need bother with small talk. Cups of coffee led to them both being late to work and a used condom. Sex on day three usually is a bad sign but what could they say, a kiss just wasnt enough.
Day 4
Coffee after working late and too much time spent with now old friends. They were each others new shiny toys. Amazed with each other they were late for work again. It didnt matter for Mark, drugs could be sold any time. I didnt hear him mention his profession yet, ill give him this he hasnt lied yet. Sarah was pleased with the result of morning affairs and even delt well with the scolding from her boss at the book store.
Day 5
I hate to admit it but god has a sense of humor. Today is a big day for Sarah, because today is the day she gets back the results of SAT scores. Im proud to reprot she was 400 away from a perfect score. Mark was more than excited to hear the news. They celebrated with sex and a night out.
((I think it was the small events that led them to this. When you share such important memories with someone, how can you not store parts of them inside yourself with those memories.))
Day 6
Day six is a big day for mark. He recently invested in a cheap vial of acid. He could now disversify his market, Sarah didnt know but he spent some of the profits on a 1 ct. diamond promise ring. Mark decided hed keep it just incase things serious with Sarah. They didnt see each other that day.
Day 7
Who knew that trouble could hold its appetite ay bay. Today Sarah met an old friend, his name isnt important neither is the event in truth. Mark wanted to see Sarah that day but she was busy and instead mark drove down I-29.
Day 7 1/2
Mark wrecked, pretty badly. Id have to say that the seat was always red leather if i hadnt seen it before. The sterring wheel sported that nice rib cage dent look and the front end of his car was about as existent as Michael Jackson's nose; there but missing something from the orginal model design. Needless to say Sarah was by his side at the hospital.
Day 8
The doctor reports that Mark didnt suffer any real injuries except for a terrible concusion, bruised ribs, and a large cut on his left arm. I wonder how your hand flys through a window in a car accident.
Day 9
Sarah had skipped work the previous day to spend it with Mark. Today she was going to do the same but her boss wasn't fond of the idea of her having a job and then losing it for not coming in; in earnest neither was she. So today Mark sat alone in his room, his acid losing it potency every day. Hed be lucky to sell even a drop, not only that but hed spent money he now didnt have on a ring. Ill give it to Mark though, he knew he could dig himself out.
Day 10
No Sarah again, a double at work and another today kept her in bed on her feet. Derrick was able to move without squeeling and Sarah still had a job.
Day 11
Who knows the inner workings of a woman heart, id also have to ask who knows the inner workings of a mans heart; actually id have to ask who knows both? Either way nothing happened today and i didnt find a person to answer either.
Day 12
Now that you have my attention i would like annouce Mark will not be attending todays portion of the story. Hes in the hospital, car wreck it was terrible.
Day 12 1/2
Sarah off work decided that she would see Mark, but as afore mentioned he is incapacitated. So instead she called an old friend. What they did isnt important and Sarah didnt enjoy it anyway. Her days seemed empty off the mystery that was Mark.
Day 13
Mark slept alot of today. Sarah was by his side but the doctors had him medicated.
Day 14
Today Sarah got her acception letter for the spring semester at howard university. Also Mark got his release notice. In 5 days he would be a free man.
Neither had the oppertunity to share the news Sarah was out of town visiting her sick aunt.
Day 15
Mark got to walk around the hospital, nothing but the dead or people who soon enough would be in some form or fashion.
Day 16
Sarah aunt died, she phoned home in her discomfort seeking some in Mark. He stayed on the phone with her all night, he even shed a few tears while she unloaded. Such tragedy the loss of a love one.
Day 17
Marks acid was now officially dead, subsiquently so was the rest of his buisness. little did Mark know that a rival dealer had taken Marks needy little fixers and fixed them appropriatly.
Sarah was involved in plans for a burial, that wouild put her trip over for a fer more days.
Day 18
The doctor delivers the news that thanks to a speedy recovery Mark would be leaving that night instead of the next morning.
Sarah aunt had officially wished to be creamated and that again adjusted her trip. Mark called later that night to annouce that he was home and that he would be waiting when Sarah came there.
Day 19
No Sarah and Mark was busy getting new product with all the money he had left, also he rounded up a few old loyal customers. The drug game was like cards, you miss a hand or get a bad set and it was anyones game.
Sarah had taken some xanax to deal with the requiem of her lost aunt and was thusly to calm when they announced her will. Sarah had now become the owner of a very large lump sum of money.
Again a night of phone conversation and promises of a future embrace.
Day 20
Sarah came home today and the embrace between Mark and herself was amazing. A movie style wedding kiss absent of the ceremonies usually peanut gallery and replaced by an airport full of tired buisness men and unattended children who were grossed out approriatly.
Day 21
Mark stayed the night at Sarah apartment, no sex due to Marks condition and her own sadness.
Day 22
They say waking up face to face with your soulmate is incredible, breath taking to say the least. I only think that Sarah paniced about her breath and that Mark needed an asprin. Sleeping on a head injury is tough.
Day 23.
Sarah worked a double and mark had finally regained some control over his buisness, enough so that now he felt was the right time to give sarah his promise ring.
Sarah was tired and grouchy after her shift and derrick decided maybe the ring could wait. No sex still and the bothered Mark decided he wanted to try. Sarah sadly was clumsy even in the bedroom and after falling of the bed and banging his head, they both decided it was best to wait.
Day 24
Marks sunflower seed supply had run low and Sarah to say the least was happy. The spit covered shells bothered her. Sarah was also running low on cigs, so they went out for cancer and snaks.
Later Mark would reveal that he had quit smoking cigs and went to sunflower seeds. Sarah rightly gave him a cig and took his sunflower seeds. Till this day i still dont know what she did with them.
Day 25.
Marks energy was back up despite the rekindled passion for killing himself with cancer. This meant all in all that he could atleast perform 5 mins of painless sex. It was a far cry from their recent hours spent doing the act, but atleast they got to do something.
Mark was also doing well dealing on the side while sarah was at work.
Day 26
Mark for some reason of another found that today was a beautiful day to ask Sarah to take his ring. She did of course the only problem was that she had proposed an idea of her own.
Day 27
Sarah spent the day packing and Mark spent the day clearing out space in his own apartment for Sarah. He had to hire help from some neighborhood kids due his fading injury. The extra muscle helped them finish earlier im sure.
Day 28
Things were moving fast and Sarah now lived with Mark. Mark wondered how he would keep her from knowing about his real occupation but figured it could wait a little while longer, who knew maybe shed approve. She wouldnt at all, but hell anything was possible sometimes; just not this time
The end of the month.
Sarah and Mark had played the odds and survived death, lonlieness, forced celebacy and moving in together. Now all they had to do was survive the next two months and then theyd be home free of all this mess.
