Yes, I know this guild isn't about it but I was wondering what people thought about it anyway. After all Yugi was there for all of 30 seconds. ^_^

Well, GX takes place 10 years after the end of the original series so Yugi grew up. So it was Yugi...unless a theory that someone has is true that is. ^_^

I wish they would have show the face then I could tell if it was Yami or Yugi.

Well, there's a long standing debate in the GX fandom though. When it first aired in Japan a year ago (almost to the day it aired in the states) half the people we convinced it was Yugi and the other half were convinced it was Yami. It is kind of odd that we don't get to see all of him and maybe there's a reason for that. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Anyone have any thoughts on whether it was Yami or Yugi or is everyone convinced that it's Yugi?

When I saw the Japanese version I thought it was Yugi and that he had grown up but things that happen later in the series make me wonder if it was Yami after all. I kinda hard to explain though especially if people haven't seen the end of the original series.

That person was Yami and not Yugi. I watched it and saw some of the blond bangs sticking out and if you look at a picture of both Yami and Yugi. You'll see that Yami's bangs stick out and Yugi's full around his cute face.They could have given him a body just for that part.

It might be Yami. I'm still convinced that it's Yugi though. But, maybe I should go back and take a look at the bangs and the like. ^_^

GX might be as good as the Yugioh we all know and love, but I doubt it. Its a good show (so far) don't get me wrong, but we'll just have to stay tuned and see...

I remember seeing that part in the first episode. I was completely bewildered. I had no idea who to think it was. At first, I thought it was Yami, but rationality told me that it was probably Yugi because of what happened at the end of the first series.
In other words, I was completely torn. gonk
GX is fun to watch. ^^ It's more funny and fast-paced, not as epic-y or serious, but at the same time, I liked the first series being all serious and epic-y. (I didn't make any sense in that last sentence, did I? ^^;;; )
Pardon the off-topicness, but I just want to add something. I like the Judai (Jaden)/Sho (Syrus) pairing. =^^=
