I love Harry Potter. It's one of those series that you can reread and still find interesting. ^.^

I thought I had already posted in this....oh well.
Harry Potter. Twilight just seems like something that may be big now but it'll fade eventually.

I like Harry a little better too, but (and it's just my oppinion) you really can't compare the two. They've nothing in common for one Harry is a children's book and Twilight is for teens and then Harry is more adventure and Twilight is more romance.
That's what makes me mad about those people (not saying your one of them, but I have seen a few around gaia) who think you have to choose one or the other, you can't like both. That would be like saying of the two do you think Friday the 13th or Baby's Momma was the better movie. end rant---sorry bout that.
Also, twilight didn't push harry back. At least from what I heard, the execs decided to move it so it wouldn't have to compete with other big box office movies and there was a fear that it wouldn't be finished. It takes a lot of time to do all those special effects. They also figured that since it was a kids movie they would make more money if it played in the summer where more kids could go see it with out school and holidays being in the way. There was also the worry that since the 7th book was out there would be less demand for the movie so by moving the release date back and the uproar it cause they know for sure people will go see it. Twilight was not supposed to come out until the end or begining of the year (can't remember for sure) but since there was an opening where Harry moved they took it. If they hadn't someone else would. But yeah, I'm pretty ticked that I have to wait til the summer to see it too.

It tends to tick me off when people say that Twilight is the next Harry Potter.
And also, even though HP started as a kids' book, by the time it was finished I doubt you would call the last few books 'kids books' what with all the death and s**t.

I solemnly swear I am up to no good. Harry Potter, ftw. i just watched #4. Brings back memories of before Twilight, sneaking into the pg-13 movie -sigh- good times. <3 Harry Potter. Twilight already faded in me.
Mischief managed.

I am a major HP fangirl xD The only reason I ever 'tolerated' Twilight was because of Jake but BD ruined that for me --;

I don't really like Harry Potter. I like my wizard and witch books better, one of them actually made me cry. Twilight on the other hand; I like it because of the vampire and werewolf part. I just find it more interesting. =]
P.S. this is my first guild!! 3nodding

Definitely Twilight. I loved the Harry Potter books (yes, I have read them all) and I'm still planning on seeing the movies that have yet to come, but I think I've grown out of them a little. Twilight is more of a.. Adolescent kind of book, while Harry Potter is for the early teens. My niece, for example, is ten years old and we've just given her the first Harry Potter book as a Christmasgift. I, on the other hand, am seventeen and enjoy reading Twilight very much.

I believe that Harry Potter is one of those series that people of all ages can enjoy but Twilight is just something for teenaged girls. I can't see any of the adults I know enjoying that series and guys definitely won't like it. It's so sickingly romancey that it comes off stalkerish most of the time.
