Four men on a journey to the West. To stop a monster from being brought back from it's slumber which was fought long ago by a God. Sanzo the rouge priest, Hakkai who killed a thousand demons and turned into a demon, Gojyo the half-breed, and Goku born of the earth. Together they must survive through many hazards and things that may try to stop them. They must also learn to fight through their pasts...but the important thing is...will they have enough cigarettes and beer to last them?

Has anyone ever seen Saiyuki? It's not the best known anime but it has awesome animation and great voice actors such as Greg Ayres who plays Goku. He's also known from Chrono Crusade and many other famous anime's.
Who's your favorite character in the show?

I know of the show and I have this little thing for it thats a preview or something, but unfortunately I haven't seen any of the episodes. Eventually I hope to.

This seems like a VERY interesting Japanese update of the Chinese legend... I should know, being a 1st-gen Chinese I grew up with the original.

I've read the manga up to 3 or 4 I can't remember. I really like Hakkai and Gojyo. 3nodding

I've seen All of Saiyuki and all of reload. I'm getting into Gunlock. ><; My favorite character Well I can't say I have one; They are Lirin and Goku. >< I'm A saiyuki freak. redface
