About the Marles
Most of my Jellicles live with the Marles, a rich and somewhat snobby British family. With a heritage traceable to nobles and lords of the old feudal system, the Marles have never been strapped for cash. William and Diana Marle were never truly cat fanatics, and had decided long ago that they would not bother to purchase a furry friend.
Despite themselves, the Marles could not help but adopt one of the Best in Show's kittens which were auctioned off after the National Cat Show. An onlooker might think the Marles just loved cats and wanted one of exceptional quality, but any of the Marles' family friends could tell you the truth: the Marles bought the cat because it was expensive, not due to any actual desire to acquire a feline. Though tempted to name their new cat Goldy, the two agreed that Copper was a much more fitting name, considering the color and species of the animal.
Less then a year later, those friends would say the same thing about the Marle child. The couple had her for the purpose of spoiling her, they insisted. It soon became apparent they were correct: soon after young Elizabeth learned to speak, it became very clear that she wanted another cat. And not just any cat, but the cat she had seen in the park the other day. Her parents rushed to fulfill her wish, and a slightly confused Relaine joined the family.
The couple began to lose interest in their furry family members, and ordered the construction of a large structure, which they said would be the "Cat house" and like its equivalent, would give the cats a place to sleep without disturbing the humans of the land. When the building was complete, it became clear that the Marles had once again used the situation as an opportunity to display their wealth and spend admirable amounts of money. With two full-size bedrooms, a living room, sitting room, foyer, litterroom, and walk-in pantry, the Marles (cat) mansion was sectioned off for cat use only and prohibited the Marles staff from entering. The rooms, expertly decorated and stocked with manifold cat toys and knick-knacks, became a choice meeting spot for Jellicles desiring the splendors of a human living space combined with the privacy of a cat-only environment.
Young Elizabeth, around the age of four, is the only occasional human visitor, as she, unlike her parents, is still fascinated by her "little kitty-cats." Relaine devised several forms of security that have successfully prevented the humans from discovering that more than just the two original cats now live in the mini-mansion.

Offspring: Reolai (Pixelized Panther) & Ronzlin
Personality: Sweet and laid back, Relaine likes to be snuggled by humans and Jellicles alike. Not wanting to exclude his "little brother" from the spirit of the Jellicles, Relaine brings Ven to all the Jellicle events.
About the Family: Relaine used to be a street cat, and a very active member of the Jellicles. One day, however, he was found by Liza Marle in the park, and her parents allowed him to join the family as long as he got along with their other cat, Copper. Relaine is older than Vencesloe, and a good deal more knowledgeable about Jellicle, if nothing else. Mr. & Mrs. Marle let Liza "name" him (he had no family name on the streets), and actually got his name pretty close, due to that strange child-wisdom.

Personality:Vencesloe is a long-time member of a very wealthy family. Adopted as a kitten, the affluence of the family shaped the cat's character. Lap cat when the mood strikes and demanding of strangers, Vencesloe doesn't have the best reputation with the Jellicles, and many say that Relaine made a mistake by letting Ven accompany him to the Jellicle meetings.

Personality: A rather mysterious cat that prefers to ponder vague concepts in solitude, Ron enjoys the roominess of his own little world. His sea-green eyes often drift and gaze blankly through space, but he seems happy enough and constantly wears a quiet smile. On occasion, Ron will ask random questions--often those with no answer--to test strangers or gain new bits of information.

Personality: Corliua's a pleasant cat, to put it shortly. She's outgoing and reliable, yet she has strong maternal instincts and knows when to be calm. Cor has a calm power that allows her to help other cats feel more secure.
About the Family: An elderly couple: Earl & Josephine White. They are kind, but rather inactive. Earl likes to garden, and they enjoy taking walks in the evening.
