Re-homing?
Unfortunately, yes. These two characters are being made available as the previous participants were not able to fulfill the roleplay requirements. As such, we are offering these two up for a second shot at participating in the plot. However, you still need to finish a set amount of RP in order to keep them.

Event specific rules
- All the usual RP rules apply
- You may only try for and win ONE of these Sentinels, so choose carefully before entering.
- No further customization will be permitted at this time (but you may try for an upgrade slot after the plot is finished).
- These Sentinels DO NOT currently have any companions.
- Depending on how things play out there is a risk for death or permanent injury.
- In order to earn your character you will have to complete two roleplays (one roleplay has already been completed or is in progress)
- Roleplay with characters you already own doesn't count towards your roleplay quota.
- These two RPs must be completed within two weeks.
- You will get some required meetings, and some suggestions, but you will ultimately decide what happens during the confrontations.
- The Herald will be available as needed for NPCs.

Tentative Timeframe
December 1st - Auditions open
December 24th, 5pm EST - Auditions close, winners announced
January 10th - Both RPs completed

B-b-b-b-b-bonus!
Check out ye olde * in the info below. If the winners go with this route and do some RP to support it, we'll set up a special breeding slot free of charge as an additional reward!

How to Enter
Post the appropriate form in this thread, along with whatever edits you want to make to it. Feel free to add plot ideas, a sample of how you would RP the character, etc., if you'd like to include that sort of information.

You say, he broke your heart,
he left you crying, but he did not set you free
And now you feel like you can never love again

Okay, so let him go
It's up to you how long you let his memory stay
And do you really want to carry on this way

Not all Wildtypes are able to track their pure and perfect wildtype ancestors all the way back to Noctus himself. In fact, most Wildtypes belong to perfectly normal families without very famous or interesting relatives. This particular male was Minder raised, like so many others, and knows nothing about his parents or relatives.

He has admired the Forager from afar for quite some time now, but her pure and perfect heritage is quite frankly a bit intimidating (Especially since it seems to matter a lot to her)... So what can someone like him offer to someone like her? But she's been so out of sorts lately, and he just wants to make her happy again. Perhaps he could at least try to cheer her up...

You may edit the existing character form as needed to make him yours, but any details that have been established in the completed roleplay must be maintained. For reference, you can read Emery's completed roleplay here.

Potential future RPs include a run-in with Applewood (the female being offered)*, an encounter (on Bushfire's behalf) with Basil or Fiercefire, a post-conflict comfort RP with Bushfire, and many more.

Name: Emery
Nicknames: Em or Emy
Species: Sentinel of Noctua
Age: Adult
Hatch Date: 16/06/200?
Type: Wildtype
Task: Crafter (copper)
Personality: Emery is your archetypal nerd; shy, studious, almost obsessive about his work, bad at expressing his feelings, and bad at making conversation, unless it’s about something he is very knowledgeable about. These topics, of course, are pretty limited. He tries, though. Sometimes too much, to the point where he just comes off as annoying. If he hadn’t fallen in love with the lovely Forager next door, he might have just declared himself a hermit and saved everyone the trouble.

History: As a youngling, this Wildtype always looked for a place where he was needed, where he could please as many as he could without drawing too much attention to his weakest points. He had a great ear for music and a pleasant voice to boot, but he could never bring himself to perform in front of anyone. He was horribly embarrassed whenever the Minders discovered him singing to himself when he thought he was alone. He eventually discovered a non-embarrassing way to use his gift. This was crafting musical items for the Bards, always perfectly tuned in whatever key they preferred to sing. Nowadays, he usually works with copper. He won’t touch gold – too bright and pure for the likes of himself – and silver always seemed too cold. He especially loves the deep richness of the sound made by large copper wind chimes.

And thus, Emery has led a simple, humble life. He’s never wondered about his parents – at least, he didn’t used to. Now that Bushfire has unknowingly captured his timid heart, he wishes he had at least a hint of a fine family history to impress her with. If the chance to find out where he came from presents itself, he will jump on it in an instant. His heart goes out to the beautiful female, who is strong enough to defend such a desirable territory, yet slips into such gripping despair the moment the danger is gone.

Territory: Emery makes his home in a stand of trees west of the Deep Woods, close to where Bushfire lives. His territory is easily distinguished by the painstakingly-tuned copper wind chimes hung throughout.

I'm not nosy, I'm just concerned
people are hurting, they've all been burned
being alone is no way to be
don't worry at all, just leave it to me

She's not nosy, she's just concerned. Healthy, pureblooded Sentinels should not sit around unloved and unhappy. Her dear cousin needs to get himself together after that fiasco with the Forager, but that's no excuse to resort to taking the first female that comes along. Why else would he court a Mist? It's not proper. It's not fair to him, and his family, and her! The poor girl, she would be so much better off with a proper Mist male.

This Wildtype is actually a true romantic at heart, and while she has been brought up to be just as typist as the rest of her family she could change her mind if she thought she was fighting for True Love.

You may edit the existing character form as needed to make her yours, but any details that have been established in the completed roleplay must be maintained. For reference, you can read Applewood's in-progress roleplay here. This roleplay can be completed by the winner if both parties are interested. Potential future RPs include a nosy encounter with Basils ex-mate Bushfire, a nosy encounter with his current mate Fiercefire, a nosy encounter with the Seeker Bracken, a nosy... you get the idea. Meeting up with Emery could be interesting as well, as perhaps she'll find the love of her life in the shy-but-romantic copper crafter.*

Part I – The Sentinel

Player: ???
Name: Applewood
Nicknames: Apple
Species: Sentinel of Noctua
Age: Young Adult
Hatch Date: 23/02/200?
Type: Wildtype
Task: Watcher

Personality:
Applewood watches. Not for enjoyment or duty, but because she simply can't decide what to do. Some days she is convinced that it would be ideal to be a minder; however, youthful fickleness quickly sets in, and she decides that it would be better to be a gatherer. Or an artisan. Or a bard. Without any special talents or a particular fondness for any one task, she finds herself stuck watching.

There's always plenty to watch, of course. Settled in the same part of the woods as her extended family, she observes a fair amount of drama on a daily basis. She likes to help settle squabbles and ease hurt feelings, even despite past.... fiascos.

A priority in Applewood's life at the moment is finding a mate. She's young, but she's been told about the type of Sentinel she was destined to love since she was a young fledgling, so why wait?

History:
Born into an extensive and ancient line of Wildtypes, Applewood's place in her family was decided long before she was born. As the single offspring in her parents' last clutch, she has enjoyed the full benefits of a parenting strategy perfected on her older siblings. She was quite sheltered, to say the least. Apple was raised to believe that Wildtypes are the purest race among Sentinels, and that, as a member of such an old and undiluted line, it was her duty to find a mate from an equally pure family. Her chicks would be taught to respect and value their heritage, and the family's pride would remain intact. This was how it was for Applewood's sisters, and there was never any question that this is how it would be for her.

Territory:
Applewood has, with the assistance of her parents, settled in a tree near the rest of her family.

Notes: The possibilitys for Em really pop out, for me. To continue pursuing Bushfire, even though she pines after another? To 'give up,' so to speak, and settle for the watcher who seems to have her eye on him? Of course, while he might see it that way at first, eventually he might realize that to have someone who actually notices him is a vast improvement over one who barely knows he exists.

She's (still) too good for me...
Part I – The Sentinel

Player: ???
Name: Emery
Nicknames: Em or Emy
Species: Sentinel of Noctua
Age: Adult
Hatch Date: 16/06/200?
Type: Wildtype
Task: Crafter (copper)
Personality: Emery really is a jovial fellow, if you can get past his timid disposition and poor social skills. He had never been one to make small talk and is known to stutter when he's nervous... Which would be in most important or bothersome situations. Because of this, he tends to be rather reclusive, save for when he is working. He takes pride in his copper crafting and when he is showing his chimes off or trading with a bard he tends to lose that pesky stutter of his. This is due to how sure he is at what he does, and this reassurance is something he lacks in relationships with other sentinels.

He's rather taken with his neighbor, the Forager, and this has really forced him to come out of his shell. The shy crafter understands that he has to buck up, otherwise he might miss out on the finest Wildtype the forest has to offer.

History: As a youngster, this Wildtype always looked for a place where he was needed, where he could please as many as he could without drawing too much attention to his weakest points. Possible Ideas: Poor Emery, he needs love. D:

Anyways, what I have planned for this guy is the following, if I acquire him:
- Another meeting with Bushfire and him coming to terms with the fact that he would never be good enough to be with her (aww, sad. ;__ wink , so he decides to do what he can to make life better for her on the sidelines.
- He finds himself in the incredibly awkward position of confronting Basil in an attempt in talking him into going back to Bushfire...
- And ends up in an even more awkward position of trying to appologize to Fiercefire for the whole situation on Bushfire's behalf (perhaps he could do this after the plot finishes, if Meep would rather do it then)
- He could meet with Applewood in an attempt to persuade her to talk her cousin out of courting the Mist, and show a rather sure amount of compassion in wanting Bushfire to feel better. Perhaps, if Applewood's owner is interested in them being together, she would find his passion about easing the pain of the Forager to be romantic, as she is a true romantic at heart?
- He would notice just how romantic Apple is, even if her personality is much more outgoing than his own. <3
- I'd also like to arpee him with Birch, if Annchen is alright with that. He could possibly be trading Birch a noisemaker and finds out about the whole situation with Bracken and be even more worried about Bushfire's future.

Note: I also tweaked his personality a little bit. I tried to keep it mostly the same, but I think the tweak might make it easier for me to play him...

Part I – The Sentinel

Player: Scaramouche Fandango
Name: Applewood
Nicknames: Apple
Species: Sentinel of Noctua
Age: Young Adult
Hatch Date: 23/02/200?
Type: Wildtype
Task: Watcher

Personality:
Applewood watches. Not for enjoyment or duty, but because she simply can't decide what to do. Some days she is convinced that it would be ideal to be a minder; however, youthful fickleness quickly sets in, and she decides that it would be better to be a gatherer. Or an artisan. Or a bard. Without any special talents or a particular fondness for any one task, she finds herself stuck watching. Deep down, she also fears finding a mate with a task that makes their relationship difficult- perhaps this, too, is why she watches.

There's always plenty to watch, of course. Settled in the same part of the woods as her extended family, she observes a fair amount of drama on a daily basis. She likes to help settle squabbles and ease hurt feelings, even despite past.... fiascos.

My plans, if I acquire the lady and the owners of these other Sentinels consent...
-Finding a galpal to confide in. She's very worried that her plan will fail and her cousin will be unhappy forever because of what she sees as a fling
-Trying to make good friends with Bushfire, as she feels very sorry for her- really, more like she feels righteously angry on her behalf
- Accidentally having a run-in with Bracken and either learning more about the situation from him or giving him new information
- Continuing that current RP to determine what the heck her cousin's doing with that Mist. If she's convinced it's true love, she might have a nice inner-conflict RP with said confidante. She won't lose her typist ways, not for a good long while if at all, but it might shake her up a bit if she thinks they're really in love.

RP Possibles:
-[definitely] Finish the RP with Basil, on the player's consent.
-Attempt at consolation of Bushfire. While she knows what her cousin did was wrong, she's still likely going to be out for his best interest. Maybe she could try convincing her not to try and kill Basil. Perhaps try to reassure that she and her family want to help Bushfire.
-After trying to size up Fiercefire [and likely finding she can't be bullied or otherwise budged], with all concern for her cousin in mind, could try to appeal to Fireflight and find out more about the relationship from an observer's POV. Discussion about what they think about it which could lead either way, being both concerned relatives.
-[hopefully] Run across Emery, probably while he's dealing with Bushfire's issues as well. Could try to cheer him up? He could see it as an opportunity to ask her about a more typist family at the time? We'll see what goes from there.
-Running into Blackbirch, a clear aberrant, while she's doing her nosing could be interesting. Not to mention since he's related to Fiercefire, she can get a better idea of her lineage.
-After all of this happens, maybe Apple can realize her... unnatural nosiness and finally settle upon a more personalized profession. A talent like Bracken's she could look up to... even if his radical behavior may horrify or sour her. It would really depend on the encounter.

Note: I don't know if it's of any consequence, but I was in the SoA megaplot as a side character, which was a good lot like this. I do well keeping a schedule and am confident in finishing the necessary rps and more. Thanks for the opportunity!
