He wasn't quite sure what the hell happened, but one way or another, he'd been released. Or at least his soul had been. Given what he could see at the Site - absolute nothingness - he figured Lucian had resorted to the Entropy Cannon. He'd snicker a bit, though the fact was his body had been blown God knows where. He more or less pull on the psychic string that kept him attached to his body, allowing him to zip to it like a supersonic bat out of hell.
He found himself in snow. He'd seen a decent about the way, but nothing to make him smile. Sure as hell, his torn up carcass lie freezing in the snow. He'd let out a deep sigh and close his eyes, falling back in to his body. He'd awaken instantly, in severe pain, though the femur sticking from his leg didn't even seem to phase him as he got up as if all were well. He'd spread his three original pairs of wings that would cover his feet, spread wide and cover his head, though a fourth pair would sprout to cover his chest fully. As if casting a spell on himself, a green sparkling orb would appear above him before bursting in to a glittering green ring that would fall over is form and disappear at his toes. He'd then spread all four pairs, revealing torn clothing but a fully healed angel. He'd land lightly on the snow, leaving nearly no print in the snow.
He'd begin to walk a bit, heading towards a clearing before he'd see his first two life forms, a boy and and a girl in proper snow attire. They'd blab on as most did about his wings; angel this shiny that...all the same anymore. Though, he'd pick up on a bit of an accent. He'd smile and look to the sky, chuckling a bit. "Canada...then I travel East." His red hues would then focus on the children and with a warm smile he'd place his hands on their cheeks. "Silly little monkeys...so ignorant...so inferior. Allow me to ease your pain!" With a loud cackle he'd spin rapidly, in return ripping the skin from the children's bodies. He'd devour their previous shells, then watch as they screamed as they felt raw nerve cling to their clothing, falling and writhing as snow hit their faces. Soon, the overload from their nerves and their fear would force them to aneurysm. He'd only chuckle as he watched, and once they slipped away in twisted poses, he'd find himself on the brink of tears through laughter. Hearing their mother or highly feminine father call for them, he'd smile and slowly ascend in to the air, allowing the being to see him as an angel before he'd disappear in a light, heading East. The mother's screams of terror still reached his ears, providing him with a beautiful serenade.

Seven sighed as he pet Ray's hair gently, the massive thing on autopilot.

Ray smiled, still humming as he pet her. After a moment she stopped and at first it would seem that she had drifted to sleep. "Hey Seven?" she asked, her voice breaking the silence between them.

"What was the question you wanted to ask me before?" she asked. It was something she had crossed her mind awhile ago actually, but since what had happened at the old Site, she'd been rather busy.

Seven blushed again, scratching the back of his neck. "I, ah." he frowned. "Now's.... the timing's bad." he said softly. "I just.... I can;t... I can;t find the right time..."

Ray smiled, snuggling her head into his shoulder. "It's fine Love, I can wait." she said, looking up at him with clear blue eyes. "I don't plan on leaving our side without your say so, so no worries."

"R-right." he said, as the great machine lumbered forth. "I just want you to know... I want to stay with you for as long as I live." he said softly.

Ray nodded, closing her eyes. "Mmhmmm." she said softly. A moment later and she really had slipped off to sleep, her head resting on her shoulder still.

They were back in a tavern with a bit of snow around, but more green then anything else. Fireplace was still the best place to be, though, thus they relaxed in comfy chairs right in front of the contained flame sipping at hot chocolate. Vance was happy to be alive, none to wise to the cuts on his face. He'd rub the back of his neck and finally give in. "All right, how'd you do it? Why aren't we dead?"
"I was wondering when you'd ask. Imagine, if you will, a straight line. Now say you come to a problem in life with a yes or no answer. The straight line splits and branches off, creating two realities...one in which you said yes, and one in which you said now. Think back to our situation: There was a reality in which we somehow escaped, and one in which we did not. We were obviously experiencing the one where we did not, thus I forced the forks in the road to switch. We then came to experience the fork in the line where we lived." He'd sip at his cocoa and sigh. "Sadly, it drains me of not only my physical energy, but my psychic powers as well. I wouldn't be reading minds or creating barriers for a while now..."
"I get it. When you shouted those words, you were distorting reality by changing the outcome to what it would be in the alternate reality. And if someone has more then one fork, you obviously switch it to the exact opposite our situation. Nifty ability...I'm guessing you can't use it for a while, though, eh?"
"You are correct. What I had to do to get us here was as drastic as I've ever done. At this point I'd need to rely on my wakazashi and its personal ability to split dimensions, and you of course." He'd smile to the child, glad he understood to well...and so quickly.
"Well, no worries. I got your back; I'm not gonna slip up like that again...but something was made obvious to me as I tried to beat up that little girl: I'm strong n' fast, but my technique...is non-existent." He'd sigh and watch his marshmallows absorb the cocoa. "Migoto...please become my master and teach me some form of martial arts!"
"Let's see...you're a Cancer; a water-type. Yes, I believe I can teach you a fitting combat style. I like the sound of Master as well; makes me all tingly. But for now my new pupil...we drink cocoa." They'd toast they mugs...and drink cocoa. Oh, and don't mind the mass of dead bodies aside from a few select individuals and the tavern owner and his daughter, the waitress.

Spiral had friends in many, many places. People knew him, in the back of thier mind, around puberty. Most people liked to work for him. It felt.... right. So it wasn't considered strange by the owner to have a suit of powered armor sitting on the roof while a anthropormorphic personification looked out his eyes.
Found ye!
The powered armor fell from the roof gracefully and stepped into the tavern, the firey skull looking around. "Little birdy tole me that a coupla folks wanted to hide away from Kain." he said, smiling down at them.

"Why would we hide from someone so inferior? Even if I myself cannot destroy Kain though I very much believe I could fair rather well, I have Vance here and I know you...you'd not approach us if you didn't know what we'd done..." He'd set his cocoa down after a quick sip and grin, his eyes finally shooting to look at Spiral. "...and seen it for yourself. Tell me, is he still broken and shattered? Is his perfect, superior body still lingering between here and proof that no being is truly immortal? Has his mind been crippled; does he know what's happened to him?" He'd take another sip of cocoa and shake his head. "Please, don't answer. The object of such questions is to inspire the emotions within you upon your thought of the answer. No, Spiral, we're not running from him. We're running from his lackeys...at least for now. I need to learn to hone my own power and Vance...needs to find himself. I believe you could help us as we are both mortal, even if neither of us can die as a usual mortal would. But that's evolution for you!"
Vance would take actual drinks of the refill of cocoa they'd procured and stare at Spiral. Obviously Vance was a bit more impressed. Not intimidated, just...something he'd never seen before, like seeing something cool happen in a movie for the first time. As Migoto went on with his quasi-riddles Vance would tune out, not in the mood to keep on track with that crap. Migoto could be the brains and Vance the brawn for all he cared. Still, speaking of what he'd done to Kain made Vance grin and silently chuckle. "You sound like you're askin' this guy to take us in, Master Migoto. Kinda sounds like he might want to as well given him being here n' all. Who the hell is he?"
"He's what's allowed me to live without fear of age, as you forever will as well. He's what allows our bodies to do the amazing things they do...in a sense he's a God, though he could not exist without humanity itself. He is the essence, the avatar of Evolution itself named Spiral." He'd set his cup down on the table next to him and fold his arms, eyes now on Spiral. "So I would indeed ask you take us in...though I must wonder what you'd want in return. Please Lord Spiral, speak the mind I cannot read."

"The rules of Spiral City are simple." he said. "Price of admission is some improvement to the city, of a value determined by your ability. So, since you were the one who set Kain into such a state, I imagine... Yes, that'd work nicely. My city was recently attacked by a bio-weapon made by the Upstairs, an' I want to be ******** sure that they can't do that again. If the two of you can safegaurd my city absolutely from them, yer in. As fer training or honing or what-have-ye, you'll be able to talk to any legend of history." he grinned. "All that's left is a handshake, and I'll take you there meself."

"Ah yes, your problem with the angels...quite honestly I'd love to have another match with Zadkiel now that I've released my chains though I lost track of him long ago...but you were attacked by one of the abominations, yes? I heard it was a quick victory...this means it didn't spread its wings. Angel angel, disgusting or not, that has spread its wings is far more powerful then what you saw." He'd look to Vance and seem to go into a bit of a thought trance before grinning and looking to Spiral. "Even my barriers wouldn't hold against an angel; I'd slow it down and destroy my mind in the process...but we can be your first line of defense against them, be they abnormal or Archangel. In addition I would request training with a monk or sage of some caliber while the boy would need training with someone...legendary, such as the mythical Son Wukong. The Monkey King. Sadly, I am aware of no legendary psychic..." He'd sigh, but at least he had an idea of a mentor for the boy.
"Wait, Monkey King? I may have been born yesterday, but I know I'm more then a freakin' monkey! Why the hell would I travel to a city run by Evolution itself to drain with the exact creature mankind came to rise from!? Seems absolutely redundant!" He'd stand from his seat and speak with honest sincerity to both Spiral and his master.
"Son Wukong is...something else. His movements and even his personality are curious and strange, like a monkey's. His depictions have always had him depicted as a monkey as well; a human with bare pecks and hair everywhere else, even including a tail. But he spoke and lived as a human being...it was said he was something like Spiral; a living entity. The Chinese Zodiac has a monkey, which Son Wukong is supposed to represent. Beyond that, his agility and perception could never be matched. He also had great power as a master of martial arts as well as a bow staff. If you were to learn to become as agile as him and as keen of mind as him; learn his marital arts and even the ways of his staff you would be a force to be reckoned with indeed! But...if you learned to be as tranquil; as free-spirited and joyful in living as YOU wish to live as he...you'd be on a level beyond my current comprehension." He'd chuckle a bit as he'd come to stand and wave a finger at his apprentice. "Don't be so quick to judge." He'd then look to Spiral and extend his hand. "I agree to fight for you along with my apprentice in exchange for a home and training."

Spiral laughed. "Yes, that monkey. One of my favourites, actually." Spiral turned, his hand glowing with power as he punched the air, making a hole. "Go on. Don' touch the sides though sharp as all ********." he walked through, waiting for them on the other side, in his city. "Oh, and Rasputin is there too." he said with a grin.
