I've heard a lot about the blade, but I have no clue where it is. Care to share your wisdom?

Have you checked out GameFAQs? According to Zach Keene's guide, in the Clock Tower, an enemy named the Vandal Sword drops it. Scarecrows also drop them apparently. In the Sega Saturn version, the Wraiths in the Reversed Prison drop them too.

In the Sega Saturn version, the Wraiths in the Reversed Prison drop them too. I did, but none of the guides I saw gave a location. Even the items guides were like "well it does this, and it's pretty cool" but didn't even list where to find it! Okay, I've not heard of a Vandal Sword, but then again I'm playing the PSP version. I'll have to check it out. Inverted Castle, right?

Yeah, the DXC files are lacking in SotN content. I don't know any of the new enemy names, except if they are found in DoS and PoR. You can check Pile of Secrets (formerly Castlevania Encyclopedia) for the enemy pic and compare it to the PSP bestiary.

You mean that Samurai look-a-like blade? I honestly don't know because I've never played it.

SoraMee is right! The Vandal Sword drops it and it's not a very common drop so yer gonna have to dispose of many of them to get one.
The way to use it is to keep killing enemies that bleed but, you have to face them in a way that the blood they shed falls on Alucard. Don't worry if you stop, the effect gets accumulated so that you may pick it up again later and its power can rise up to 999. Or at least that's what it said on my game whenever I equipped it. It's my favorite sword in the game cuz it can kick anyone's Heine in one attack at that level. No other sword in the game can be as powerful. I could even get rid of Shaft in 2 or 3 strikes. mrgreen
BTW, things like these go in the "Help & Strategy" Sub-forum. 3nodding

Hey, no worries! That's what I'm here for. wink Let us know what happens to yer Muramasa. I had to level it up with a turbo controller and I used a rubber band attached to a wooden stick so the button would always stay pressed down. I also located Alucard at the center of the inverted castle so it would kill medusa heads over and over (you can't do it right way, you have to wait till the sword changes its attack pattern). A good place to start is at the castle entrance where lots of Mermen re-spawn. It took quite a while but I managed to make it reach it's top level. It's too bad that version of SotN doesn't have a "New Game +" option. I would have liked to see how it performed against all the bosses, tee-hee.
There's a one handed sword that has a similar effect but it's drawback is that the effect is not accumulative. You have to keep killing enemies that bleed for it to retain the attack power. Can't remember the name right now but the description says something about it being a "blood thirsty sword". 3nodding

Not too high in attack power(yet), but it's pretty solid! The attack is just like most of the other swords for now. I'm at the mermen area, and I've just started going crazy collecting blood. Also, the only sword I've seen with the description of "A bloodthirsty sword" is the Murasama EDIT-Woah, This sword is getting powerful. I really like it, but I would like to find the one handed Auto Dark Metamorphosis weapon.

That's great! Have a blast with the Muramasa, I know I did. Oh wait, my bad! The sword I was thinking of was actually this one: GameFAQs Gurthang - Gets stronger when bloodied. One handed Sword; Atk+25, Def+1; Bloody; Average C1: Strong Swing, 0 MP, Atk+15, randomly deals double damage. C2: None Other: What more could a half-vampire need than a sword that drips blood? If all this sword had was dripping blood and Strong Swing, it would be a pretty good sword. However, it has one property that makes it a pretty good sword: it deals double damage for the entire duration of every Dark Metamorphosis spell you cast! This double damage applies to ALL your foes, not just the ones that bleed. It also gives you momentary Blood Healing whenever you swing it, regardless of whether or not you have Dark Metamorphosis cast. Overall Rating: ***/ - Not quite on the level of the Muramasa, but the whole "double damage for only 5 MP" thing makes this a quite useful weapon in its own right. Automatic Blood Healing tacks on another 1/2 Star.
