He'd been putting this off for a few days now. Bandar didn't look forward to seeing the deep woods male again, as if pretending he didn't exist could simply make his issues go away.. buut that wouldn't happen, and he'd eventually have to face the facts.
The mist male shook his head, perched on a branch towards the north of the deep woods, at the edge of Bracken's little territory. He should pass by.. sooner or later. He was here to, hopefully, end it. He'd tried, now that guy should leave him alone.
... hopefully.

Bracken had actually been out for the night, doing his usual, standard route of snooping around local places for any valuable gossip. Tonight had unfortunately been pretty dead all around, and he eventually decided to head back home to mull over his options, and spy vigilantly on his neighbors. He really had nothing better to do.
He wasn't going very fast when he'd passed Bandar, and had to do a double take, nearly crashing into a low branch. The Mist wasn't very hard to spot, after all, in a sea of trees... Bracken landed quickly on a branch, turned around awkwardly, and took off again- landing neatly across from Bandar, though he was a bit out of breath and considerably ruffled.
It took him awhile to get settled, but he eventually spoke. "Can I help you?" he puffed out, grouchy.

Bandar was surprised, but he was easy to surprise. He'd been almost expecting not to see the deep woods male-- actually, he almost hoped he wouldn't. Too late for that now, clearly. "Um, yes! " He said quickly, and for a moment forgot exactly why he was here. Bracken didn't look like he was in a good mood -- was he ever in a good mood?
"That mist you sent me to see. " He started, at first a bit confidently, but it was deflating quickly. "You said she was single.. " he almost put on an accusing voice, he kind of wanted to, but once again, he failed pathetically at that. "Well, she's not. " He finished quickly, and shifted slightly on the branch. Damn, this sucked.
"So, will you leave me alone now? "

Bracken turned suddenly cold, his grouchiness going a level above iciness. So this is what the visit was for then? He scoffed, his ear tufts flattening. "She will be eventually," he grumbled, "Why should I? Give me an adequate reason and I might."
He shifted on his perch, glowering daggers- didn't this stupid male try at all to woo Fiercefire? It couldn't have been hard. She wasn't very smart. "... Besides, it sounds like you gave up before even trying. You can't be that pathetic and expect everything to work out."

She will 'eventually'? Why would she suddenly get single? Bandar scowled slightly. Why ever would Fiercefire get single? "Because I-- " He began, but was interrupted as the deep woods spoke again, and, being himself, hardly attempted to continue. "Why would I even try? She had a mate! " He would probably end up repeating that over and over like a.. a skurri, or something, if he wasn't careful.
But still, how classy would it be to attempt with a female that was quite clearly taken (and she hadn't even seemed that friendly in the first place. Just made everything harder).
Still, he quietly reminded himself that, technically, Bracken still had leverage, and there wasn't really anything he could do about it. "Fine, so what now? " He muttered, uncharacteristically grumpy.
