I've been on these meds awhile now. I don't know what it is, whether it's a slowly progressing bad reaction to a medication or what, but I feel like I'm getting worse with my general anxiety. During the last few months I've complained to my doctor about still having anxiety, but not yet telling him that I think it's getting worse. He keeps me on the same stuff and even increased one of them once. What's been going on is I'll start coughing and feel something in my throat and sometimes I get nauseated, if I'm out in public with friends. This coughing is bad enough that sometimes I feel like I'm going to throw up. And now in the past couple of weeks I've had these attacks come on where I feel this way more severely and I actually head to the bathroom to throw up. I've only thrown up once out of these times and mostly they're dry heaves. Anyways, I hope I see the doctor soon. One of my questions is whether or not a medication can slowly make you worse. Or whether or not a medication can work fine or have no reaction for awhile and just suddenly bring about worse symptoms of anxiety. What I'm saying now sounds a little messed up to me now, but I'm hoping this clears up.

Sounds like some nasty side-effects. Sometimes side-effects will gradually fade in and then fade out again forever. But it is definately time to tell your doctor that your anxiety is getting worse. There's no point to taking a drug that is going to do that if you're taking it to alieve anxiety!

I've been on these neurontin for maybe a year now. Wellbutrin XL a little longer and Risperdal and Clonazepam for over 2 years, i think. I'm not good at estimating time, but that's what I think.

Just thought I'd update. Today during group I was very tired and became rather dizzy and almost sick to my stomache for a few minutes. The dizzyness lasted longer. The coucilor just looked at me and asked if something was wrong, so i told them and a coupel of the people there said just to stick to it and the side effects may go away. That's the first the side effect has been that bad.
