I've been invited to go Paintballing with some mates, but I've heard all of these stories about big bruises and I know I'll be rubbish at it, and all the guys have already promised to hit me, even if I'm on their team!
Should I go ahead with it?
Have you had any experiences?
Have I got the right to be scared?

pretty much use a paintball gun how you'd use a real gun. Bonus points for head shots...

1. Should you go ahead with it? I'll let you decide, after I give my lecture.
2. Yes, I go paintballing all the time. Do you happen to know if you're playing with pads or just regular? Regular, without protection (minus the helmet which is standard), hurts twentyfold the amount it hurts with padding. So, no matter how warm it is outside, be sure to wear thick pants, and atleast one long sleeved tee. So, if you get the choice to play with padding or without, use the padding. A basic rule in paintball is, the farther away from the shooter you are, the less it hurts. However, this completely depends on the paintballs themselves, as well as the guns.
3. If it is your first time playing, then you have the right to be scared. Most people when they're stuck into the arena and are getting shot at for the first time, they panic. It's natural. However, this sport is mounds of fun

I've got a feeling that all the guys will gang up on me though D=

In Australia, you have to be over 18 to go paintballing crying

Although I give you these tips from many years of FPS gaming online.

1: Any body who gangs up on a person (specially a girl) is scared to getting hit themselves and feel more secure in a group, so just cap his/her a** first.

2: Headshots are essential for blinding people

3: Use cover and dodges often

4: Run fast so you don't get cornered and pressured

5: If you want to freak someone out, hide and as they run jump out in front of them and spray them in the face

6: If people are really up close and shooting you in close quarters, kick them in the nads/shin/ankle. Although I'm not sure about paintball armor, and how tough it is.
