It's your decision, so I'm not going to stop you (how could I?), but really, is there anything wrong with childishness?
So long as you're not neglecting other things to join us here and you enjoy your visits or our conversation, there's no reason reason to give it up for that. Unless the whole childish aspect spoils your fun, then I guess it's up to you.
But yeah; I've had issues with increasing IRL stuff happening, but I try to read through the posts and post a reply in Wahaha! every now and then. But even if you do decide to leave us, please don't leave us completely; I'm sure we'd all love for you to drop in whenever you feel like visiting us in our little childish guild. ><

I know how it is, balancing what's going on in life and what's going on here. I only come here because it's the one place I can go to that isn't blocked. If I hadn't discovered that, I prolly wouldn't be here right now.

Been RPing for eleven, nearly twelve years, now. It's a hobby more than anything. Having the large e-family and organizations I have, it's a chore. But I think your decision idea is a great one to a degree.

There's nothing wrong with being, or feeling childish. Child-like, however, I'd be more concerned about. Everyone has childish moments, even the old farts. I think it's about balance and self control. Having the self control to balance, really. You should by no means have to feel the need to abandon a place you've dedicated yourself to for so long because of feeling childish; You're entitled to feel childish.

I had to leave my friends and family behind, fly for the very first time in my life, and live with complete strangers--and have for six months. It's hard, balancing the drama of where I now live, and the new friends I've made, and not know what's going on here, or the chat rooms I participate in the most. I've become used to it, though, used to discerning what is important, what needs my focus, and when fun time is up and about, and who my friends are. I was surprised to discover few online loyalties keep me in tact with what's going on with who--and that meant a lot to me.

Buut, I think you have enough smarts to find some kind of equilibrium. Just don't lose sight of what's real and what's not. While Gaia is not real, we as users, are--and these people consider themselves your friends, I wager. While RPing may not be real, your connection to them is, and I also wager they cherish that for the most part.

The decision is yours, truly, and there's nothing wrong with it. Just don't forget that these people are just as real as the ones in your real life, and they will miss you a great deal.
