So the movie for "New Moon" directed by Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Antz) is set to release November 20th, 2009.

zomg!! I'm excited because this means more of Taylor Lautner as amazing Jacob Black. ♥♥♥. Lots of wolves; the appearance of the Volturi, and a lot more a** kicking!! Yay for me!!

So I want your opinions on this. Help with poll? Or post your thoughts below.

They better make the wolves look good. They should use the same special effects that were used in Blood and Chocolate.

I've heard that they're where going to get a *new* Jacob Black, because Lautner has to childish of a face and is to young for the part.
This inflames me and if it turns out to be true, I might not go see the movie.
I've also heard something about Depp being Felix but probably not.
I heard November 20, 2009 for the release date.
This year I also heard Weitz is going to be directing Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan.

I really hope they don't replace Taylor Lautner. He's one of the reasons I started to like Jacob lol. And I hope Chris Weitz does a better job at not leaving out good quotes from the books. Twilight didn't even have "Do I dazzle you?"!!!!

NEW MOON!!!!!!!!!! I am soooo xcited!!! and steven strait is playing jacob black now crying but he is just as cute 3nodding I dont mind though, as long as Rob stays Edward. TEAM EDWARD ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!!!

I have come across 3 threads of you saying that you thought Steven Strait was the new Jacob Black.
Let me clear something up for you (And please don't think I'm being rude. It's just very annoying to hear when people say Taylor isn't playing Jacob when nothing official has been said).

When Stephenie Meyer was writing the series she pictured it as a movie. So therefore she had actors faces in her head when she was describing the characters.
Steven Strait just so happens to be the character Stephenie had in mind when she was writing Jacob.

And since people didn't want to use clips of him in Sharkboy and Lava Girl, they used clips of Steven Strait.

I could wait longer for the movie, if that means Taylor will be apart of it. And I swear I will boycot the movie if Taylor isn't in it.
