Here lies the town of New Hope. Originally established as a small colony for religious separatists, it now stands as a suburb of Ry. Its church stands abandoned, the seeds of religious rebellion long ago choked out by persecution and majority rule. With the dream of a thriving community of religious tolerance long dead and buried, New Hope has become Ry's shadow. It's streets, much safer than those of its mother city, are filled with playing children and busy mothers. Yes, nowhere can be safer than here, where the High Priestess's influence cannot be felt...

In the last few days, the clouds have not yielded to the sun, the animals in the surrounding forest have gotten more active and vicious, and the children have not so freely been playing in the streets. Much of the population of the village have fled to other cities, particularly Ry. Now, on this night, the children and families that are still left are held up in their homes, hoping for protection. A very small force of less than ten men stand in the streets. Among them, a short and stout man wielding an iron hammer; A tall, muscular man wielding a rather large broad sword; a young man wielding a single longsword; And a couple other men wielding simple swords and spears and the like. There are also five archers positioned on the rooftops. Most of the men in this force do not have much training since their proximity to Ry usually meant that few people did much to harm this village. Despite how prepared they are, the troops still quiver and are filled with fear as on the horizon, a force of many, possibly hundreds, of vampires, mostly fledglings, armed with various simple weapons, charged in. The archers where the first to open fire, they shot, but very few hit the vampires anywhere to do any real damage. The few that fell where merely trampled by their seemingly mindless comrades. Still, this managed to keep most of them at bay in a small area of uninhabited houses...for a while. The few vampires that slipped through in this time frame where struck down by the waiting soldiers. Over time, more and more began slipping through and overwhelming the small force. Not only that, but soon, the leading archer fell, and two of the archers where stuck though the heart in less than a minute, the other two went down shortly after. With the first line of defense gone, the soldiers had no choice but to charge in, they where overwhelmed. The man with the hammer bashed his way though fledglings, mostly just keeping them at bay, but leaving them immobile in some cases. The man with the large sword stuck down two or three vampires at a time by slicing though them. The small boy actually managed to keep his own and strike them down as well. The others managed to take down vampires too for a while. But they where no match for the innumerable fledglings. The man with the hammer was caught, he managed to fight his way to an area free of vampires and fell to the ground, trying to recover. The man with the broadsword continued striking, but a vampire sneaked behind him and bit him in the neck, causing him to pass out while the transformation took place. The boy with the sword found himself surrounded, and he did not fight, he sheathed his sword, fell to his knees, held out his arms, and let them bite him, collapsing on him like a flock of hungry birds on some tossed aside bread crumbs. The rest of the soldiers where also surrounded, struck by weapons, bitten, or otherwise taken down. There was seemingly no hope left for the people of the town of New Hope...

Suddenly, a celestial arrow went through the crowd of vampires, "That was a warning shot, I don't miss twice!" Eldrich shouted heroically as he stood on one of the rooftops, his hands held as if he had just fired a bow and arrow, though there was nothing there. He then jumped down and drew his sword to prepare for the waves of vampires. He hoped the rest of the group would get there soon.

There was a shiver from the horde. The Celestial was strong, and his arrow stung them without needing to make contact. But he was alone, and they were many in numbers. They were an army, and they were growing... "Kill him!" These were the mindless ones, the hungry. They were little more than zombies, not gifted with the powers or the clarity of a true vampire. They were hungry, and they would feed. A white-faced spawn launched at Eldrich, trying to cling hungrily to whatever flesh he could grab. Two others followed his lead, and still more began moving closer, their noses smelling the intoxicating scent of fresh meat...

Eldrich tried to get out of the grasp of the oncoming vampires. He quickly focused energy into his blade and swung, trying to hit the closest fledgeling. The energy from his blade would send out a shock wave of celestial energy that should either destroy or at least temporarily paralyze the other vampires, if they get hit.

Mizar jumped down from Debrah's arms, her fangy grin returning as her human disguise was cast aside. "Finally!" she said, floating upward as she spun. "I was growing tired of the charade..."Previous "Hush now, darling," Debrah said, pulling out her two swords as her eyes flashed with the thrill of a new fight. "Don't ruin the moment." Debrah wasted little time. She ran into the streets with an ecstasy usually reserved for children after the first snow of the year. Debrah cared little about the spawn, the mindless zombies who, created in haste, were no more vampire than she. No...Debrah was after the real prize...

Slash quickly grabbed his flute and played an unbearably screachy tune as his hands had a smokey brown surround them. Suddenly the earth shook in the middle of the vampire swarm. The ground cracked trapping the ankles of the beasts. He put his flute away and grabbed his rapier and "slashed" through the crowd. Mishishimi waited to be recognized. She used her sonar. She saw one coming at her. As it was falling she grabbed her katana and pierced it's heart. She kicked it off of her blade and waited for another one.

Eo was cautious as she entered, trying to keep a wall behind her so that she could not be overwhelmed. She was herself a weakness to them, and her Celestial power would keep most of them at bay. But Eo was not used to combat with multiple enemies, and this situation could turn bad very quickly.

((I'll address your posts one by one))
Two of Anur's arrows found targets, but the spawn moved with little consideration for their physical beings. They knew only thirst, and living flesh was growing low in supply. Four of them moved upon Anur, each grasping for a limb or clawing at his face. They did not move with strategy or skill, only hunger and the power of sheer number.
A spawn gave out a scream as its body fell from Eldrich's blow. It writhed for a few seconds before lying motionless. Several others screeched, trying to shield their faces from the Celestial energy pouring forth from the blade. Many of them fell, writhing in pain from the contact. Eldrich was a weakness in and of himself, and the spawn were outdone.
The spawn gripped at Debrah as she passed, trying to catch her before she got too far. There was a shiver among them, their masters' will driving their actions. Stop her. Kill her. Consume her. They lunged like a tidal wave, ready to overwhelm her with sheer numbers.
Several of the spawn fell aside after a slice from Slash's blade, but their wounds were not fatal, and they would not be stopped by such small afflictions. He had made a mistake, charging in to their numbers, and now they swarmed him. Three grabbed at his limbs, their teeth aimed for any bare flesh they could find, while two launched at him from behind.
Several broke from the crowd and moved toward Mishishimi, mouths already opened in anticipation of their feast.
A few fell aside after Skylus's attacks, but there were no lethal blows. Six of them pressed in on him. His quickness to dash into the crowd had been a fool's decision.
Eo was too close to the city limits to be bothered by multiple spawn. They had long since converged towards the middle, drawn by the will of their masters. Only two stragglers made their way toward her, completely oblivious to her poisonous Celestial blood.

((You are not allowed to make up new abilities on the spur of the moment. Unless your profile says that you have a certain ability, it is assumed that you do not. Your profile says nothing about lightning powers, therefore you can't just decide you have them because it's convenient.))
