This is a highly unethical. If a government is democratically and constitutionally elected, its leadership should be respected regardless of the country's economic policies.

Are you serious? Since now said that I probably respect the views of a dog more than yours if your opinions are so misguided these days.

1: Robert Mugabe WASN'T democratically elected, Because he rigged the elections imprisoned and beat and killed members of the opposition in in addition to generating false votes for himself. Especially when there were more votes than people in the country.

Do you know whats even more incredible? despite his rigging he still lost!! and then forced a run off, But of course he would loose that so he imprisoned and tortured his opponent then puts himself as the only candidate.

Because 1 party systems held in place with violence are SO democratic.

2: This is not because of the "evil west" it's solely because of Mugabe's criminal mismanagement and torment of his pepole. If you haven't noticed Inflation is now at some stupid number 8,000,000,000% Or something. The money presses are the only thing that's preventing Mugabe from begin executed. He's only paying his military and sanitation and health not and issue for him.

The reason why Zimbabwe's people are dying is because there is no food, No water, No doctors, No medication... It's like the dark ages... And if you curious about EU sanctions they only actually effect the moment of funds and movement of the Zanu-PF party members to stop them fleeing the country.

Many of those claims are made by the right-wing opposition party. But the election results are indeed disputed, with some observers saying that the elections were practiced fairly, and others that it was rife with fraud.

Quote:
Because of Zimbabwe's dire economic situation the election was expected to provide President Mugabe with his toughest electoral challenge to date. Mugabe's opponents were critical of the handling of the electoral process, and the government was accused of planning to rig the election; Human Rights Watch said that the election was likely to be "deeply flawed".[3] After the first round, but before the counting was completed, Jose Marcos Barrica, the head of the Southern African Development Community observer mission, described the election as "a peaceful and credible expression of the will of the people of Zimbabwe."

Even with respect to claims of violence the accusations go both ways:

http://www.voanews.com/english/archive/2008-05/2008-05-16-voa47.cfm?CFID=81075493&CFTOKEN=57978198

With respect to developing nations elections are very rarely as democratic as they are in the developed world because they quite simply lack the technology and cultural experience with social institutions.

Recently Mugabe and the opposition leader have negotiated a power sharing agreement, in which Mugabe will act as president and the opposition leader as prime minister (which heads the legislative branch).

With regards to the economic situation, unless you are willing to deny that there is indeed an economic blockade of Zimbabwe, or that economic blockades can effect a nation's economy I don't see how you can dismiss the possible effects so completely.

hAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA'
