The Night World isn't a place. It's all around us. It's a secret society of vampires, werewolves, witches, and other creatures of darkness that live among us. They're beautiful and deadly and irresistible to humans. Your high school teacher could be one, and so could your boyfriend. The Night World laws say it's okay to hunt humans. It's okay to toy with their hearts, it's even okay to kill them. There are only two things you can?t do with them.
1) Never let them find out that the Night World exists.
2) Never fall in love with one of them.
Circle Daybreak hopes to stop the Night World and live in peace with the humans, these two groups are set on retrieving the Wild powers foretold in the prophecy. The one that has them all will be the victor of the up coming battle. But theirs a twist there is a bond that no faction dares to break and that is the soul mate bond, it is a spark that opens up the minds of the two and forever links them. To kill off a soul mate is to incure the wrath of their mate and no force on this earth could stop them.
Prophecy:
One from the land of kings long forgotten;
One from the hearth which still holds the spark;
One from the Day World where two eyes are watching;
One from the twighlight to be one with the dark.

Asylnn pushed up her glasses looking over the top of her book, sighing mentally for the millionth time that day. She didn't know why Terry made her go to school here, she already knew all this crap. But whatever the chief says goes, she turned the page and began to drift into the faded ink of the book. It was about then that the teacher, a rather round woman called her name. Without looking up Aslynn answered her question."1812 to 1814." Whatever her name was made an indignate sound and went back to lecturing the class.
It was a crisp autumn day outside the windows of the classroom; the trees where changing colors taking on the vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges that gave off a feeling of warmth. The town the school rested in was not very small that you could say you knew your neighbour, subdivisions littered around the older homes that made up the original town's main street. West View is what the settlers called it, guess that back then they where give a beautiful view of the west. Now the view seemed cluttered with new homes, though further back you can still see the fields and a few farm houses decorating the manicured countryside.

Proping his head on his hand Sage continued his drawing as Ms. Vanguard tried yet again to pick on the book worm by the window. He really could understand why the round woman had to do that, it has been over a week and the results are always the same. The book worm answered her question flawlessly as if she really was paying attention instead of being so engrossed in that book. Then again he was more content to sketch in his sketch book then to hear any more about the War of 1812. Rolling his shoulders he popped a couple kinks and went back to his sketch.

Alex attentively wrote in her notebook, underlining some key points that they had gone over the day before that Ms. Vanguard was now bringing up again. they where going to have a test that friday, which all the teachers seem to be doing. She wasn't sure she should be glad about that or not, as it ment no homework for Halloween weekend. Descretely she looked over to the side seeing Sage's profile, he was definately cute and very sweet he had on more then one occasion helped her to get out of sticky situations with some of the guys in school. Curiously she loked over to the window seeing Asylnn reading another book, and by the looks of it a rather old one. Maybe she would ask her about it after class, would be a nice way to introduce herself and maybe they could be friends. A little paper football landed on her notebook then and Alex looked down at it then opened it.
Ash is holding a Halloween bash at his place you going?
Alex's nose twitched slightly, she didn't care for Ash Renford, he was one of those preppy pretty boys who thought they where god's gift to women, and his sibblings wheren't any better.
I would need a really good reason to she wrote on the note and tossed it descretely to her friend.

The door of the classroom opened with a loud bang and and Deidra walked, a half-gone cigarette still lit in her hand. At the sight of the class staring at her, a slow smile creeped across her face. "Good morning!" she said, a bit too loud. A few of the preps in the front row traded whispers. Deidra walked down the center row, and stooped next to one of the prep's desk and squashed her cigarette into the girl's Abercrombie purse. Then she merrily continued her way to the back row and sat down, propping her boots up on the desk.

Koran nearly fell asleep in the classroom as the little noises the students made and the teacher's monotonous voice slowly turned into a strange melody for him. Another school, another teacher, another class, Koran thought to himself.
This teacher, Ms. Vanguard, was not a very good teacher at all. He probably knew everything she was supposed to teach to this class. This class that, as dull as it may be, had a few interesting characters to it. But nonetheless, even in this colorful season, he saw the class gray with boredom and mediocrity.
...On the contrary, Koran had gotten a lot more sleep lately in class; since the teacher had been picking on some same few people lately that kept her from bothering him and kept him from sleeping in class.

Koran had a feeling something strange was going to happen earlier today. An ominous feeling was in the air he breathed. He looked behind him. Some of the students, still doing their homework for the next class while the teacher was lecturing up front. He could not find what it was. But now, he was almost certain something was going to happen, something rather maleficent. Regardless, his head dropped back to the desk and slowly doze towards sleep. All he could do was wait...

Aslynn arched her brow as she felt the swell of a strange magic, watching the papers flutter about the room and the collective gasps. Mostly from the preppy girls, Ms Vangaurd included. Aslynn muttered a reveal spell and began to search the room, glancing up without moving her head she allowed a soft chuckle as she turned the page of her book.

Alex put a hand over her mouth to hide the grin as she watched Deidra come in, it was so amusing what she did to those preps. When the wind kicked up tossing the papers around the not on her desk took off and landed over on Sage's desk. Turning to catch it she was caught with her hand reaching towards the note and looking worried as she glanced at him.

As the papers flew around Sage was caught with a strange scent, but before he could zero in on it a piece of paper landed on his desk. As he picked it up he noticed Alex leaning over, "This one yours?" he smiled at her handing it to her.

Alex blushed slightly as if caught, even though she didn't think there was anything bad in the note. "Sorry about that", she smiled slightly and took the note and read what her friend put.
To get your craby a** laid ^.~
She was going to kill that girl, that was all there was to it. She crumbled the note and pegged the afore mentioned girl in the head and folded her arms leaning back in her chair grumbling.

He chuckled mentally at Alex's reaction to that last line, though he sobered a bit. The Renfords wheren't a family to get involved with, especially if you were human. They where the eldest and most powerful vampire family in the Night World, from what his parents had told him. And they pretty much got away with whatever they wanted and got whatever they wanted. His brow twitched when his thoughts where interupted by that scent again, with a grin on his lips he leaned back as if stretching and glanced at the ceiling. His eyes danced a bit at locating the source, though he seemed content to waite and see what else may happen.
