Just A Dream?
I read all the fantasy
Books i can
lay my hands on.
I devour them in
hours. And wish
That i was
In their world,
Not in mine.
And i feel,
As if i don't belong
On this earth.
I feel a odd
Ache within me,
That wish's that
I was there, not here.
I imagine portals
hidden throughout
this world,
that lead to other worlds.
I know its just a fantasy,
but i feel like a tiger,
Caught and put in a zoo,
to be stared at.
Or is it just a fantasy?
Do i know things others
don't? Because maybe,
Oh just maybe,
I was thrown into this
earth when i was a baby,
And my heart tells me
I don't belong.
Or maybe i just
really love fantasy.
But i hope.
And i hope. And wish.
That maybe, oh just maybe,
its real. Not a fantasy.
And one day, perhaps,
I'll find that secret place of
portals, and step...
And step through one,
And be where i belong.
And i wont be a caged
tiger in a zoo,being
stared at.
I'll be released into the wild.
To run free, and be who
I truly am.

I like it.
The idea is great, but I think it can still use a little work.

I like your poem quite a lot.
I too, know quite how you feel on that topic, as I feel much the same way.
The poem has a very whismical air to it, and I can really sense the emotion in it. 3nodding
I'm not a very good judge of poetry, but for some reason somthing about it fels slightly 'off', though I can't quite put my finger on what exactly it is. Perhaps the rythm or somthing of that sort? I don't know really, but other than that it really is very good. heart
