Alexander Kellan's classroom was a neatly organized little classroom with seventeen desks exactly. One door led to the pathway that went up to the school and the other led out to the stable. He looked about sixteen with unruly black hair and eyes that were constantly changing color. He had taken off his black jacket and had it draped over the back of his chair. His red ribbon was hung around his neck over his white tailored shirt. He wore black jeans tucked into riding boots that were crossed on top of his wooden desk. He was leaned back in his chair with his hands clasped behind his head.
The stables held more than mortal horses. They held griffins, hybrids with wings, pegasi, sphinx, and other such creatures that required really high stable walls.

Allaya was almost quivering with excitement at the prospect of an Equestrian class. She loved horses, especially mythical ones. She loved their freedom and speed. She loved the liberation of any protocol and rules when she rode--
Then, she entered the classroom. Leaning back in the teacher's chair with his feet resting on the desk top was the last person she expected to see.
"Alexander?!?!" she exclaimed, almost falling backward onto her butt. But, she was very comfortable and able in riding boots so she did not cause a klutz catastrophe.
"What are you doing here?!?!?!"

Alexander removed his feet from the desk as the very person he was here for walked in the door. With the speed faster than a vampire could catch, he was holding her. He had his arms around his little girl. His girl.
His head was resting on her shoulder as he held her tighter and tighter.
"Allaya..." he breathed into her hair.

Lesley walked into the room and his jaw dropped. He looked around and he could smell the animals. "Wow." He said.

Allaya squirmed in his arms. She used all of her strength to try and get out of his hold. She saw a student walk in the door and her blood went cold. Now he would think they were having a student-teacher affair. With one last burst of energy, she flung herself away from Alexander.
"Ugh." she spat at him. She turned away and walked into the stables with the beginning of tears in her eyes. He was so stupid! Why does he think she left his company almost six hundred years past?! Why does he think she hasn't come back?!
Her frustration and fury instantly melted away as she browsed through the animals. There were mortal horses and other mythical beings that made her heart sing.

Alcolyte walked in with his large pack and looked around, studying the room carefully

Allaya smelled a familiar scent. She looked through the door into the classroom. She ignored Alexander's presence completely as she saw the boy from Symphony class. Her face brightened considerably as she recognized him.
"Acolyte!" she said happily. She probably looked silly to all who were in the room, but she glad to know he had at least some interests in riding.
"Come! You should ride with me." she said to him, disappearing into the stable. She found a mortal white mare that looked considerably promising. She began to saddle her up, almost quivering with excitement. She hadn't ridden a horse in many a year.

Alcolyte looked at allaya who disappeared into the stables, he then followed and looked around at all the horses.

Allaya opened the stable door, kept closed to prevent escape, and steered her mare into the entrance. She looked at Acolyte with an excited smile. She could feel the cold sunlight of the mid-fall afternoon beating against her back, outlining her with sunlight. She looked at a few stray strands of her starlight hair and giggled happily as they seemed to nearly glow with light.
"Come on," she said.

He set the large pack inside the door and followed her, now studying the details of her and the horse.

"Have you ever ridden before?" she asked, emerald eyes sparkling.
"If you haven't, we should start out with a mortal horse..." she said laughing. There were five horses, all of different species and colors, that were mortal and ready to be chosen. She could hear their voices in her head.
...get chosen...
...isn't fair! She's always...
...if only I were human...
...I hope the dark one picks me, that mare's real pretty....
...this is stupid. I'm going to sleep...
And so on.
Allaya looked at Acolyte expectantly.

He walked to a stall and looked at a black horse, studying its features.
