((OOC: sry for the lame title. It was either that or a movie title like meet me in seattle. 8D)) In only a short amount of time, Dana had seen her life thrown into a whirlwind of activity. And now, in result of one of those activities, she was waddling more then walking, much slower then she had been before meeting Shays. The pups in her stomach had been most of the cause behind her whirlwind. Without them, she wouldn't have met Shays.
Without Shays, she wouldn't have found companionship and someone who knew where to avoid and where to find food, shelter, and friendly faces. And before either event, she'd learned to juggle from Alegria. And now, she felt guilt for having taken so long to find the dog. Before, she'd only planned on waiting a day or two, but things had been so busy...
Well, she was here now.
Here, of course, meaning the park. Dana crossed the street with care, and bolted into the park, looking around. Suspicion was just part of her, no matter how safe she knew the park to be. Once she was satisfied that no one had seen or followed her, Dana started to walk through the park, straying behind bushes and trees to avoid pets and their humans. She kept purple eyes peeled, looking for that bright pelt belonging to a dear friend of hers.

He was there in the park of corse, his owner dropping him off for his daily romp. She trusted that when he needed to go home- that he'd just follow the same path he always did. So Alegria was there under the same tree he had before. A pin in his mouth and another spinning in the air- impending doom for his soft skull. *WHAP* The pin hit it's mark again. Apparently he was not ready for three pins- let alone two from the lumps on his head.
That or he had been distracted just enough by the beautiful black and red goddess that had entered the park once again. He quickly ignored the pain and shoved his pins under a hidden branch in the tree. It had sure been awhile since he'd seen his good friend Dana. And with a happy bounce in his step he trotted towards her. To far of a distance to actully notice the buldge in her belly at this point.

Dana spotted Alegria bounding towards her, and stopped, stepping back unconsciously. It was instinct, not fear, that made her do so. At least until she really recognized the dog for who he was. Then a grin split across her maw, and Dana strode to meet with Alegria, eyes shining. "'Lo, Ale!" She said once they were close enough, smiling. "How've you been?" She asked, eying him.
"...Judgin' by them lumps, you've been practicing, aye?" She smirked a little, sitting down. It made her belly that much more prominent, but she was at the point to care more about comfort then hiding the rather obvious buns in her oven.

He was about to nod his head and tell her the whole story about his daily practice when his eye finally caught her belly size. He wanted to tell himself at that moment over and over again that she had mearly gotten herself fat from over eatting but he wasn't stupid- possibly in denial but not stupid.
"So what happened?" He asked blantenly. His feelings never changing for her but an air of concern wafting over his voice. This would explain the other evening that he smelled a strange male over Dana's familar scent.

Well, he was rather blunt, wasn't he? But Dana couldn't really expect much else. It was a rather... unexpected development, and he'd be stupid to not realize that it was a belly of pups, not a belly of fat. She arched an eyebrow though, and smirked. "Do we need to have a talk about the birds and the bees, Ale?" She asked dryly, still smirking.

He shook his head at her feeling rather rude for just being so open about. "Well I mean...I understand where puppies come from...I was just...you know wondering where yours came from?" He bit his tounge again for what was comming out of his mouth. He didn't mean to just be so OUT with those kinds of questions. It just wasn't in his nature to be so pushy.
"I don't um mean it like that-..." He tryed to dig himself out of the hole he created. "Well I mean thats your business you don't have to tell me at all." He gave her a small little half smile and continued to curse himself out in his own mind. Honestly inwardly he didn't care if she was carrying another dogs puppies. He'd still love her...he just wanted to make sure she was being cared for the way she should.

Dana nodded a little, watching him, and smirked. "Well they haven't come from anywhere just yet, but when they're born, they'll come from me." She said lightly, tilting her head. "There was... an incident, with another stray. Shays." She explained in more blunt terms. There was no need to be smart or sarcastic with Alegria, he was trying to be tactful. Just not quite getting there. And it certainly wasn't like it'd be a big secret that she was having pups with a stray. It wasn't anyone's business, he was right, but she felt no need to hide it from him.
"He's been helping me adjust to life out here." She went on to explain, laying down on the grass. "That's why I haven't been here sooner." She added, sheepishly. "I meant to come sooner, but things've been kind of... busy."

He again looked at her with a sigh of relief that she hadn't turned the other way at his questions. "Shays?" He trod forth with his odd questionings regreting every second of his curiousity. "I've never had the pleasure of meeting him-" But then he stopped at the word 'another'. Wait was Dana admitting to him that she was too a stray? He had gotten the drift of it last time but he couldn't have been sure.
"I'm glad though he's helping you out BUT-" He took a long breath. "Are you sure your going to be alright having a litter you know...out here?" He stopped and desided not to blatently ask if she wanted to come home with him. He couldn't imagine a litter of puppies living off the garbage filled streets. They could DIE....

She nodded a little, smiling. "He's a nice enough dog." She said, shrugging a little.
She started to nod at his statement, but paused at the BUT, and frowned a little. Then she tossed her head and snorted at him. "Yes, I'm sure I'm going to be fine out here, Ale. I'm not the first stray to give birth on the streets." Dana smiled gently, trying to ease his concerns. "Besides, he's showing me how to survive out here. And he's helping me make sure the pups'll be safe." She promised, going over and nuzzling him. "You needn't worry about me and mine." She added, stepping back and sitting down again.

Her affection seamed to calm what was welling up on the inside. Though it would have made him feel better to have her give birth to this litter in the comfort of his warm house. Though his owner might be slightly confused about a female with puppies- he'd take the heat for Shays though. Then again when they were born it might also raise confusion that they didn't look like him. Oh well at least he had one of those tolerent sort of humans that didn't care either way. He'd have to find Shays and see if he could convince her to live with him- at least till the puppies had been born. He wouldn't have minded longer though. There was just something so special about Dana.
"Thats the problem, I'm always going to worry..." He trailed off and looked at her. His eyes filled with a sort of joy Alegria hadn't felt before. "But thats just me...I care too much."

"A blessing and a curse." She said, smiling at him. "But you've no need to worry. I'm fine, aren't I?" She said, looking herself over. "Not missing limbs, nor fur. Not starving, that's for certain." She snorted, and smirked at him. "The only difference between you and I is you have a permanent home and I wander." She said, rising. Of course, that was over simplifying things, but to Dana, it really was true. They weren't all that different, and she could take care of herself. Even without Shays, she wouldn't take charity from Alegria, no matter how much he wanted her to. Being taken care of just wasn't in her blood. Even with her owners, it'd been she who took care of him, not vise versa.

Alegria sighed, there would be no reasoning with her on this one. "Well my house will always be open to you- anytime you need it...Shays as well." He then chuckled slightly. "Though I really don't think he'd be too pleased living with me." He laughed again this time harder. "That would be an aquward converstation though..." Something he actully considered doing...he really wanted the puppies to be born in a nice safe place not out on the streets.

Dana laughed a little, shaking her head. "I don't think Shays is the kind of dog who'd be okay staying with humans for any length of time." She said honestly, nodding a little. "But thank you. I'll remember that." She promised, smirking a little. "I don't see why it'd be awkward. He's the father of my pups, he's not my mate or anythin'." Although, she wouldn't understand anyway. She wasn't the kind to worry about relationships. She'd never been in a real relationship before, though, so Dana wasn't sure of the big deal. Nonetheless, she'd rather have them get along, at least for a short amount of time, than swear a blood feud.

"Well I just thought it'd be a little weird...me and him. I'd like to meet him though at some point." He then winked at her. "Prehaps he'll be able to juggle better then me. Though I doubt that- I'm the best at it." He then pointed to all the lumps on his head. "Yup I don't think ANYONE could match my skills."
"Though I wondered. If you don't mind...do you think I might be able to be like an uncle to your children. I absolutly adore children." He then stopped and smiled speaking to only himself. "I wouldn't mind being a father one day myself." He turned to Dana. "You sure are lucky to be having kids."

She laughed a little, shrugging. "I'm sure you'll run into him somewhere." She said, shrugging a little. Then she laughed a little. "I don't think he juggles. But he's got talents of his own." Dana mused, scratching her neck absently. She smirked a little. "Aye, no one can match your juggling skills." She said with only the tiniest bit of sarcasm. At his question about being an nucle to the pups... She shrugged a little.
"We'll see." She said, smirking a little. "It's not only my decision." She said, stretching. "Having pups is a... learning experience, have no doubt." She snorted. "I hadn't expected to, but... It's growing on me. They're growing on me." She smiled.
