Finding this game is harder than one may think. gonk
I wanted to put it on my wishlist for Christmas...but I know better since it's rare around me. Whenever I was shopping with my mom, she'd say, "Ask the guy if they have that game you want!". I'd tell her I'd rather not...seeing how it was best buy/circuit city/walmart and I know they don't carry PS1 games. She'd rant and rant....then I'd ask and promptly be laughed out the store. gonk
How/when did you guys get the game.

Second hand shops, web stores? At here, hell of a far away US, you could find it from either that kind of shop or normal gaming store. Or big market. They sell FF games quite long time here.
But look for it from smaller shops and just for gamers stores. eBay? Haven't used, but that is chance too.

Mm, I got it when it was new, so that's not much help. You can try a store like GameStop, but you're not very likely to find it. I always see it at anime conventions, but you probably aren't going to one of those in the immediate future, huh? Your best bet is online. It's actually on Amazon new for fifteen bucks.
Or ask Santa. He's magic.

I CAN HELP YOU
...and then I read Ravenwolf's reply, and realized she stole my answer. sweatdrop
I bought it just this fall off of Amazon.com. It was shiny and new, four disks of epic win.

Amazon you say? ... NEW YOU SAY!?!
I think I'm going to break my vow of "non-internet shopping" and go over to amazon for it!

I got mine from gamestop back when they still carried SNES games...
But I recently found a store that sells older systems and games and they actually had Final Fantasy IX and VIII.~ I think I'm going to buy them just to have extra copies in case something happens to my originals. xD

use half.com!
I pretty much get all my games (and textbooks, haha) off there. Haven't had any problems, and their stuff is cheeeeeap. Found FFIX for $8, by the way.
