I thought about this because of the captin's perdicument (I don't see how he can think about it so calmly stressed ). So here is a place to talk about family problems or issues or anything like that.
Well, here it is (why I started this in the first place). The captain's parents are splitting up and getting a divorce. I won't go into too much detail because he might get mad about it. I understand why his mom wants a divorce, and there are some pretty bad problems going on about it, but how can he keep so calm and hardly phased by it cause I don't think he is heartless.

He's probably hiding the emotions he doesn't want people to see. It's a natural reaction.
My problem: My mom hates my dad. Like really hates him. She doesn't like being married to him bt refuses to leave. He's not a nice guy. He argues with her, usually about me, mistreated my brother so much that he ran away to his mom's boyfriends when he was 6. I'm close to running myself. He's hit me as punishment for wrong doing since I was about 3 or 4. When I hit 11 he slapped me so hard across the face that I bit through my bottom lip. It was all over homework too. So I went to school and was told to lie and say I fell down the stairs. I didn't and told our principal who called child services. They called my mother who told them that nothing had happened and that my dad had never touched me. When I was 15 he told me he didn't give a s**t about me or what I do. He's called me things like little s**t, ******** b***h and others. I was so upset by it that I spent two years trying to kill myself thinking it would make him happy if I was gone. My friends helped, I went to consuling and everything seemed a bit better. But then about a month ago my boyfriend was over, and my dad hit me under my chin to make my teeth hit together, right in front of him. He didn't know what to do so he just kind of went quiet and into a bit of shock. Since then I've been packing and unpacking and repacking my bags debating whether or not to leave. Then this morning my mind was pretty much made up, except for a few details such as where I would go. Dad decided to play what he calls Katie's song. It's about a teen girl who gets knocked up and left by her boyfriend runs away to detroit and gives birth only to be thrown on the street. He's already accused me of being pregnant twice, forcing me to proclaim my virginity in a few public places. Then a little while ago he jsut started talkign and when I wasn't listening started insulting my boyfriend, and I was so mad I wanted to hit him. He finished off by telling me that my boyfriend doesn't love me, and that's he's just using me. I can't take living like this anymore. I just want a way out.

As for my problem. I appreciate my cousin is concerned, but as for her curiosity, I knew it was going to happen and that it was going to escalade to what it has. If Lafiel want to talk to me about it, then she should talk to me about off gaia and face to face.
As for Scarlette, your situation is a little similar to mine historical wise. If your mother hates him but doesn't want to leave then that is her choice, but that doesn't mean you should suffer for their actions. If possible, you should move somewhere else close by like a relative or a close friend. That is not healthy both physicly and mentally for a teenager.
