Anaheim Angels, baby. Go Halos, all the freakin' way.
It's really kind of a shame that we're losing Texiera, but whatever. We've got a good 1B, and no one'll pay that much for him. His agent is going to screw him over and he'll end up playing for KC or the Nationals or some other crap team that'll make sure he'll never even come close to seeing a title. Next year, though. Next year we're going all the way, and no freakin' Red Sox are going to stop us.

i play softball but nobody cares about it coz there are no fantasy leagues or sports talk on the radio.
so i say "baseball" and at least get to talk.
like, hey, whassamadda wit KC or the Nats?
you know, Washington did make a legitimate offer for Teixeira at least, and i hoped he would go there.
my (pathetic) team is the Pittsburgh Pirates.
do you remember the great Lloyd Waner?
no, not likely.
Roberto Clemente?
well, i have one of his cards...

I can't say I remember either of them, nor know much about them as their team is not only on the far side of the states, but in the NL, and I tend to focus far more on the AL, since my Angels are there.
But, if it's any consolation, when I played little league, I got picked straight out of Farm and into the Majors when I was 9 to play for the Pirates, so I highly disagree with pathetic. I rather like them.
And yeah, I'll hand it you, the Nationals did make a legit offer for him, but I'm still not a fan. They're kind of like Basball's...whore? First they're the...well, I just blanked, but they're somebody, then they're the expos, and now they're the nationals. They're around just to keep the sides evened in the AL and NL, and it's really kinda sad.
Also, the fact you play softball is pretty epic. College Level? And if so, may I ask which school, what string, and what position? Because if you're a pitcher, I have all newfound respect for you. heart Personally, when I played intramural, I was a first-baseman/third baseman/right fielder. Being a Southpaw has some advantages in the world of Baseball/Softball.

How many hours does it have to be to count as a marathon?
Well, I'm not sure about marathon nights, but I have worn out toys and caused a little internal bleeding... nothing that didn't stop on it's own though. I've never had aches for more than a day or so.
