-Underground City-
This underground city is safe haven for the Vampire Kingdom inhabitants to go to when the kingdoms is being attacked. Only filled with housing and storage facilities, this huge underground cavern can only house the kingdom inhabitants. It cannot farm, mining, or anything for it would draw attention to tunnels that lead to the safe heaven. The storage facilities are filled with food, water, and the basic necessities to survive a full two years down in the cavern if needed.
Mazes of tunnels have been cut into the deep rocky terrain beneath the Vampire Kingdom with just as many numerous entry points to access them. Only the inhabitants know the way to underground city. The reason for the maze of tunnels is to insure that if found that inhabitants would have the time to flee or will still remain safe after the intruders has gotten lost or given up. Guards with the solo duty of protecting the tunnels have been trained to be the best the Vampire Kingdom has to offer. No one is allowed down in these tunnels except for the lords and queen of the Vampire Kingdom except when the kingdom is under attack.
This reasoning behind this strict prohibiting is because deep below, even below the underground city, lies the three crystals that make the barriers that covers the entire kingdom to keep it hidden. This barrier makes the Vampire Kingdom invisible to the naked eye of anyone outside the Forbidden Forest, making the illusion of more vast forest terrain where the kingdom supposedly sits. This is the barrier only purpose, it doesn’t act like a shield to reflect attacks; the weather does still hit the city from lightning to rain. The barrier is only an illusion and nothing more, not solid at all, that expands over the entire kingdom from the sky to ground it sits on.
The three crystals have been made from the powers of the queen three lords, her personal protector. One crystal for Magic, Strength, and Mind for each of the lords that protect the queen. Only the lord can repair them with their power thus making the reason why they are only ones other than the queen herself that is allowed to be in the same room as the crystals. Despite this the lords are still not allowed to enter the room, holding these tremendously huge crystals, alone. Only with the queen by their side are they allowed to enter. The only other time is when the kingdom is in war and even then it is highly frowned upon. The crystals are considered the kingdom great defense of the outside world of humans, hunters, threats, and other kingdoms.
A large statue, created in memory of the founder and creater of the underground city, sits in the middle of the great cavern. This statue holds up the ceiling and the kingdom above from crashing down on the city below. It is not needed for the rook above is miles and miles thick and holds fast, but the queen is not known for taking chances.
