Artful hops out of the portal with a shiver, glancing back at it with dislike.
Stepping aside for the others to arrive, she glances from the portal to the elevator, the circular platform in the middle of the floor.

Glitch steps out of the portal, narrowed eyes searching the room. He uttered a low hiss as he stepped off the platform onto the floor.

"Egads!" Cannoli exlaimed as he was deposited into the new ship, "It's as if we've gone NOWHERE at all! Most eerie!"
He placed his hands on his hips, peering around through his vizor, noting no landmarks whatsoever but the elevator.

Artful stepped onto the elevator, a sort of deja vu washing over her. At least Cannoli was by her side for this battle.

Cannoli frowned as he heard Chaerade's voice come out of the CELLULAR DEVICE-BEAST, almost as if he weren't just told it would be so.
However, he steps onto the ELEVATOR without hesitance, striking a heroic pose and waiting for Glitch and soldier Kagon to mount the VERTICAL TRANSPORTATION DEVICE as well.

Glitch began towards the elevator, his armored legs making a small but noticable noise with each step he took. He soon boarded the elevator with the others. "You always find time for that pose, eh Cannoli?" Glitch said, chuckling a bit.

"Hoo-ha!" Cannoli exclaimed, "Indeed, Glitch! Captain Artful, do the honors, yes? Onward to the BATTLE!"
Cannoli strikes an entirely different heroic pose now, much more ZANY than the last.

Artful wiped the grim look from her face, long enough to smile at Cannoli, and with a nod, she began to hit her heel into the elevator, counting off five as Chaerade had instructed.
Then, pulling her red and black swords from their sheaths, she waited for it to move.

The platform immediately begins to glide upwards. Around them, as they pass the glass-enclosed floors, they see nothing but massive room after room of soldier-production plants. Vats of people, growing to live, living to serve, and serving to kill, with no other purpose.
They reach the top floor, and find themselves surrounded on either side by men clad in white biohazard suits wielding radiation blasters. They don't tell them to halt, or freeze- they simply open fire. "MY STARS AND STRIPES!" Cannoli cries, sending out a thin green aura to protect their left side- though their right side is still EXPOSED.

Without hesitating, Artful threw up her own sheild on the right and grabbed several previously prepared orbs of purple gunk from her front, packing them full of energy and sending them soring over the other's shields.

The men continue to fire, mercilessly emptying their weapons into the group's defences, slowly causing them to diminish. "GAH!" Cannoli cried, "ALRIGHT! GLITCH! COUNT DOWN FROM THREE. ON THREE, WE SHALL ALL DROP THE SHIELDS AND CHARGE AT THEM! THEY ARE TOO CLOSE TO RETREAT!"
Cannoli, a look of strain plain on his face, pushed outward, sending whatever power he could into the temporary wall.
