Since Yule is here I've been trying to find ways to celebrate for the holidays. I've read different ideas but I also want to see how others celebrate if you're able to. Also I'm trying to see if I can find someplace online that sells asatru calendars.

Since I practice alone, I just held simple blots. Er, rather a blot to Thorr at this point sweatdrop . I feel bad that I haven't been able to keep up with it. I just haven't been able to mentally focus myself into honoring the gods redface .

I'd like to swear oaths on the 12th day, but I lack the appropriate symbols on which to swear oaths, so I'm not entirely sure how to go about that sweatdrop .

A ring is often an appropriate thing to swear oaths on, but be careful with the oaths you swear.

I tend to Blot to the disir on the first night. I would like to do twelve nights of blots, one for each hall in Asgardhr, but I haven't had the presence of mind to put it together, yet.

I was thinking about swearing to be more financially...responsible this coming year. I have a decent-paying job and I really want to make the most of it.

In my tongue, and that of my forefathers (the viking ones anyway), Gleðileg Jól.
And happy new year everyone.

I'm back from my hiatus with a "no, no heathen oriented calendar available here"; I am however thinking of making one, a perpetual flip one, in a similar style as the ones you find in little christian and newage stores with the whole "love god damnit!" message on every page and instead of being all "the god(s) will fix everything for you" on every page, to occupy the pages with little nuggets of viking wisdom and truthful information (i.e. facts) of the people as well as the religion.
I even know someone who owns a printing company so I aught to be able to make these properly.
I'll let 'ya know if/when they're ready razz

A calendar would be cool especially if it has some nice pictures, if pictures didn't matter there wouldn't be 100's of different calendars for sale. I'm surprised that online stores that sell a lot of heathen and asatru stuff didn't have anything. I would think it would be a no brainer. Of course it also seems like any time I try to search about anything related to asatru I get varying answers. So I wonder if everyone can even agree as to when anything was celebrated.

Well, most of the Icelandic calendars are still littered with the traditional Blót days of the old ways and we all seem to agree in icelandic.
