Fol was at work on lunch-break when he heard a rumor that some people have gone missing. Two of his fellow security guards were in the break-room drinking coffee with him, trading information regarding the Who's and Why's of the rumor. He got off work a few hours later and thought about the rumor during his drive home.

It was 3:00 AM and Fol had a bad feeling. His house was on the opposite side of Aekea from where he worked, and he normally drove through town. But tonight he decided to avoid the center of town, opting to go around the perimeter instead. The silence in his own electric car was beginning to bother his sensitive ears, and he reached to click on the radio. Static was all he heard on his usual station. He hit Scan to find a working station, and he found that none of the good music stations were active.

Fol stared toward town in nervous bemusement as he pulled up at an intersection. "What's going on around here?"

All was silent in the household of Gaia's resident squid alien biologist. However, this didn't mean that no one was there to visit. Two robotic figures sat quietly on the steps that led to the house's entrance. At first glance, they looked like they could be twins. In a sense, that would be right. They were basically the same person, but two different people entirely, as well.

The crimson-eyed one stared hard at her emerald-eyed half, annoyed with how long they had been sitting here. What's worse was that this has happened three nights in a row already. On those wasted nights, the dark one could've been on the other side of Gaia, digging up some scuttlebutt in the city slums of Durem and Gambino's Gold Mountain. Alas, she couldn't slip away while her twin was awake....

"So, how long do you plan on doing this, Gera-baka?"

"Until he comes back, Geraku...."

"Wow....You're a dumber broad than everyone makes you out to be. With your luck, you probably scared him off with that crappy love message you wrote him...."

"You don't have to stay with me, you know. You can go off and do whatever the hell you want."

"Maybe I will! And maybe I'll enjoy not looking at your retarded lovesick mug!"

The conversation officially ended as Geraku spread her devil wings and flew off into the night. Now all alone, Geraka could wait in peace. She gazed up at the stars again, as if searching for a sign of her crush's return to Gaia. The stars were like outlines of the planets outside of her own. Thousand of worlds stretched out before her, scattered across the deep-hued map called the night sky....

Which one is Loki-kun's home....?

He huffed and puffed as he ran. The small sounds of kunai ricocheting off the walls and cars echoed down the business district near the faktori. The dark elf mafia had him surrounded. Faust dove to take cover behind a truck, hearing the kunai slice through the air by his head.

"Damn it, I need to get these guys out in the open," he said to himself.

He got to his feet and started to run, only to catch the glimmer of two kunai out of the corner of his eye on his left side. He caught one and tumbled, leaving the other to bounce off the wall aimlessly. He lay still as his attackers finally came out of cover to inspect the body.

" The Don said he'd be a harder rundown than this," said one of them.

" Maybe we caught him on a bad day. Let's finish the job just to make sure," one said as he approached Faust with a poison coated dagger. Faust decided it was time to switch tactics from playing opossum to going on the atttack. He Sprung off his hands and onto his feet, then taking out the one with a poison dagger with a spinning back kick. Before the other two could retreat for cover he lashed his chain of command around one of them and began punching him with his prosthetic left arm. The metal making contact with his flesh was like hearing meat being tenderized. He then lashed his chain of command around the other assailant and pulled himself toward the unlucky fellow, striking him several times with a bicycle kick to his head and torso. Faust jumped off him and came down on the first guy he struck with a downward axe kick. Just then a black scion hurdled down the street towards the fight, with 3 more guys inside of it. One of them was bold enough to jump out, wearing gauntlets of fire and ice.

" This is gonna be a dog day afternoon," he said out loud as he balled his fists and charged the airborne elven fighter.

Nine days. Nine long days and Gera continued to watch the stars, waiting for Loki's return to her planet. This pattern was beginning to take a toll on the peacemaker, as she had trouble sleeping at night and was constantly haunted by Gerakuma's words of doubt....

With your luck, you probably scared him off with that crappy love message you wrote him....

Maybe I did....Maybe I'm the reason why he's been gone for so long....

Gera shook such thoughts out her mind, punching at her own temples for good measure. She wasn't about to let Geraku win this. She was sticking to her beliefs, no matter what. She'd continue to do this until the day her crush finally splashed-down on Gaia again, to continue his work as a biologist....

Or I could try to get in contact with his imoto-san*....

Mulling over this idea a bit, Gera then decided to try it tomorrow. For now, she continued to search the skies for any signs of the squid alien's return....

* Imoto-san = Younger sister, when referring to someone else's younger sister

Smoke emitted all around the room, the very dark and intimidating room.

'So...why did the mayor pick you?'

'I dunno. He tempted me.'

The police eyed Slash carefully, before taking a puff of his cigarette and blowing it in his face purposely. Slash turned away, giving a small cough but avoiding their eyes.

'How about you tell us again. Why did the mayor pick you.'

'I said. I don't know.'

'Why did you join him?'

'He said he knew where my brother was.'

'Uh huh. Sure.'

The police officer walked around the table, before grabbing Slash suddenly around the neck and throwing him into the glassy window of the interrogation room. Slash saw it coming but he didn't want to break out just yet. There was one last person inside the Aekean Jail that he needed to see. Then all would be revealed.

'Listen punk, I know your kind. Rich and taking a dump on the small guys. So let me ask you one last time. Why?'

'My answer is going to be the same, you going to arrest me yet?'

Slash tensed for the next blow, receiving it in the stomach. He went down on all fours, before getting handcuffed and led out of the room.

Something was out of place that night, outside of that squid alien's lab. A certain someone wasn't there that night. An empty space usually filled in that spot on that one step....

Gera was sprawled out on top of somebody's roof, looking quite feverish. She hadn't slept in days and had probably overworked herself. Not only that, but she was still suffering from the events that came after she told her secret....

I guess the only good news is that Loki-kun is doing fine without me....

Gera had gotten in contact with Loki's younger sister, who told her that he had been busy watching a marathon on two full seasons of one of his favorite sci-fi shows. It was going to be a long time until he finally comes back to Gaia. Lucky for Loki, Gera was a patient robot.

Until then, I'll let myself be entertained by the hallucinations caused by this blasted sickness....

And so, she did. The nursebot shut her eyes strainlessly, going through those recurring dreams of hers. Just once, she'd love for her crush to leave a love note for her on her doorstep or maybe even call her something endearing in his native language. In fact, her most recent dream was about Loki PMing her and calling her his "little bololo". Gera had no idea what that possibly meant, but....

Little bololo....I like the sound of that....

A shadow has been hiding in the out lands of Aekea for a long while, someone who was always been there but not seen by many. He has been secretly protecting and guarding the city's inhabitants for already many years...

"Ben!" He calls out to somebody, with the intention of making Ben come to his side. This guy who called out could be seen behind a large boulder, waiting while he looks at a group of strangers passing the borders through the scope of his sniper rifle. Ben then goes near this guy and he wagged his tail while looking at his master and panting. Ben was a dog...

The guy, meanwhile, was forced to come out from hiding and confronted the group of men, dressed like hoodlums. He called them out "You there! What's you're business with Aekea!?" "We're here to see the arms dealer." answered one of the hoodlums. This answer got the sniper interested. He asked them again, but with a menacing voice "So, you really want to see Ivan?" All of them got shocked and one asked "How did you know his name?!" He snickered and said "Well, Ivan is yours truly..." and bowed down to them as he spoke. The hoodlums' expression of shock was changed to smile as they knew that the border guard was also the arms dealer they were searching for. Ivan told them with all of his sinister Russian accent "You're in for some business? Come with me." And he walked to a dark side of the borders as Ben and the hoodlums follow him...

The street-light turned green and Fol began to drive. As curious as he was about the radio blackout, he had not survived so long by going looking for trouble. He did only what he had to, and nothing more. He was good, but he was not invincible.

Then why, oh why, did Fol decide to turn at the next intersection and drive through town? What could have compelled him? What could be so important that it would cause him to travel toward the source of his unease?

Breakfast.

It was, after all, passed 3:00 AM, and Fol was craving waffles, eggs, sausages and hashbrowns, all coated in maple syrup, and a tall glass of chocolate milk with which to wash it all down.

'Alright lockdown in 10 minutes boys, get yourselves comfy heh heh.'

The prism guard chuckled to himself, pulling out his electric baton and slowly running it across each of the cell cages. Slash sat inside a small and dark room, on top of a flea ridden blanket and a dirty second hand bed. He slowly pressed his hands to his head and ran them through his hair, contemplating the revenge he would enact on the Mayor if he got out of here.

Not that breaking out of a maximium security cell with 24 hour surveillance and a s**t load of patrols, coupled with randomized moving motion sensors and the latest in high powered firearms really stopped Slash, but he decided to still play it cool. After all, he was technically innocent. Technically...

He flipped onto the bed and pulled out his chronicle diary and pen, pondering to himself what to write about. Suddenly he saw a shadow pass over in front of his cell. He quickly stared up but there was nothing, but it left a sheet of paper in front of him. Slash quickly strode over and picked it up, unfolding it with a small sweat drop.

'Break out. 10 minutes. Get ready.'

When Gera woke up from her hallucination, she found that she wasn't on top of a roof anymore. In fact, she wasn't even outside! She was now in an all-white room, one that looked way too familiar to the nursebot....

I'm in the hospital....

Gera attempted to get up, but a hand gently pushed her back down in her reclining bed. Confused by this, Gera looked up to see who did that. It was a nurse, one that had waited for her co-worker to come to....

"Please, Miss Gera....You shouldn't be up and about....Your temperature reads 104 degrees...."

"Okay, Sakamoto-san....But, how did I end up here?"

"You know Bildeau and Bludeau, right?"

"Yeah....They're two of my best friends...."

"Well, Bludeau found you and got his brother to help him haul you here...."

"I must've given him quite a scare....Bildeau, too...."

"Indeed....I don't think I've ever seen a robot sweat and panic so much before! I mean...."

As the nurse went on about how astounded she was at what she witnessed from the two robot brothers, Gera slowly fell asleep again. Soon after she closed her eyes, the colorful dots decided to pay her another visit. Looks like she was going to have another hallucination tonight....

The drive was far too quiet for Fol, especially in an industrial town like Aekea. Most windows were dark, with just a few lights on in business places. And only a few odd shadowy figures shuffled on down the sidewalks - hobos and the like, thought Fol.

((Can't really think right now. Just wanted to get this down.))

'9:56,9:57,9:58,9:59...'

Slash slowly counted to himself, meanwhile packing all his belongings into a small weather blasted backpack. Not that he really had alot of belongings, it was just his diary, pen and a set of wooden stakes he crafted out of the side of his wooden bed.

'10 minutes...'

Suddenly all the lights went off. Slash blinked, his eyes quickly accustomed to the heavy darkness. He could make out the sight of a group of patrol officers with heavy weaponry running around, shouting orders above the chaos of the prisoners. A faint unlocking sounded at his jail door and a man in a hooded black cloak approached him.

'Quickly, we haven't much time to idle.' He said, beaconing for Slash to follow. Slash complied, slipping out the door but not before slowly pulling out a wooden stake from his backpack. Years of experience told him that nothing was to be trusted. He followed the cloaked man down the set of stairs and noticed the officer watching the gate for the exit of the block. His neck was slit.

'Looks like these people aren't your average breakout fanatics. They know what they're doing. Best stay on guard.' Slash thought to himself, pushing past the barrier of the gate. The man slid around the side, motioning for Slash to hurry. He complied, sneaking behind the building and down a grate into the sewers. The pair ran through, snaking through a long passage. Again, Slash noticed something different. There was a blown hole in the side of one of the pipes, yet there was no water...

He ignored it, as the man jumped through the hole. They both appeared on the outside of the jail, just in time as three big four wheel drives came rolling by. The middle one opened, a dark man with aviator sunglasses inside. Slash started to feel as if things were about to get complicated, as he stepped into the car...

Gera stayed inside the hospital for about three days, up until a friend of hers (who shall remain anonymous for safety's sake) busted her out. The nurse bot would have mentioned how unnecessary her friend's action was, but she really didn't care. She had received the best news hours earlier....

She had been watching TV in her room, flipping through the channels. It wasn't until she reached Gaia 9 Action News that she stopped. An important newsflash was being broadcasted, giving details to a fairly large object reentering Gaia's atmosphere and splashing down between the Isle de Gambino and its port's boardwalk. It didn't take much for the piece to snap together in Gera's mind. The answer to this made Gera drop her TV remote on the floor, let the tiles around it be stained with tears of joy....

He came back....

Soon after busting her out of the hospital, Gera's friend mentioned before and another friend of hers (Whom we shall call "Mia-chan") took their robo pal to the Isle's boardwalk, to welcome everyone's favorite squid alien back to their planet. Mia-chan had fed Gera some special treats, which sped up her healing process by ten-fold. By the time they reunited with Loki, Gera's temperature was back to normal.

She remembered how she latched on to him, unwilling to let go of his soft squishy torso. She told him how much she missed him, how she waited so long for him. She even told him what measures she took in her time of patience.

What was his reaction? Well....
