The Outlands RP

The abuse of the planet you've been living on was unbareable, the constant desicration of natural and perishable resources for the most pathetic purposes, polluting the planet. Usually If humans abused the planet, it would reset itself in another ice age. This time it didn't. Instead it cracked open, leaving gaping holes in the surface that would lead you falling for days into the burnt out core of what used to be your home. The lack of resources led some species away from eachother, forced to live off others, become cannibals and form into new species, willing to kill anything just to get their hands on something to eat. Now the only creatures that think other than "EEAAT!" are the Freelancers, trained beings that roam the outlandish surface of the Earth searching for relics left behind to either sell to the black market or bring back to friends and family for honor and respect. The Sentries, who seek their path on destroying the abominations that were created from the death of their home world and restoring safety to civilians. The Humans, who's soul duty is from what they choose for themselves, either to become a follower to others or roam alone in this dead world. Last, the Mythics, creatures that are allowed to run freely on the Earth after it cracked, they are the unpredictable, most have almost never seen a human being before the world cracked open. You have a choice, either follow a path of good and restore somewhat of the planet and survive, or stop others from from their goal.

Twisted tendrils of smoke and fire fill the gaps in the ground from the burnt out center, leaving everything that relies on it to die. Dedris looked down a valley at fields of ashes and forests of dead trees. The sun burnt the ground in the summer, in winter the ground is calm. He paced over toward a bent stone land form for shade from the intense sunlight and heat, watching around for any other signs of life beside the large reformed birds. "Oh, I wish It would rain at least once more." He muttered under his voice, basically talking to himself, since there was nobody else around that he knew about.

she troted down the lone lands in a dog form, her gaze sweep around takeing in her surroundings, shakeing her head she saw nothing but burnt woodlands and ash's that were once beautiful field lands where many animal romed, now when she looked at it it just plain scared her, nothing was left except for ash's and dead wood, she hadent come accrost any other life form in awhile and that also scared her, nothing seemed right anymore, she sighed and slowed her pace and wandered about the lands

Dedris bound against few rocks in the distance, jumping from one to another going for a hunt, as his hunger grew. He's been alone for so long, he doesn't remember what most other living things look like, besides the strangely reformed birds that fly by rarely, or the strangely growing roots that move from out of the ground. He caught few familiar scents, of dogs and wolves but it could be his mind playing tricks on him.

He slipped, rolling off a rock and almost falling into one of the massive gorges of fire and smoke, but he managed to pull himself off. "I'm alright, I'm alright." He muttered, scared half to death, but he was fine, no damage done. He heard footsteps in the distance but he thought it was probably the sound of those birds flapping their wings, or he was just hearing things out in this lonely world.

Dedris kept his pace slow for now on, he didn't feel like almost falling off again into the massive molten gap in the earth, he could fall for days and not hit the bottom, but he would be burnt up before that happened, but he shook those thoughts out of his head, best not to think of death at a time like this, there could really be someone out there, he just doesn't know where they may be, but he couldn't be the only survivor.
