Ok, so I know that Ouija is not the smartest thing in the book to do, but my step brother's girlfriend April and her friend Erin wanted to try it out because Erin is into that stuff. We have 2 boards, one glow in the dark and one still cardboard but pretty old. We used the older one because we don't know where the glow in the dark one is. Anyway, this is the first time that I've had an entity call itself a "demon," and that upsets me. I'll let the rest of the Ouija story explain itself. Sorry it's really long.
12/23/08 - Around 9pm, downstairs of my house. April is sitting across from me, while Erin is the scribe. GB one of our dogs is lying down by our feet. We shut the lights off, with three candles lit. I do a breathing exercise and a small prayer of surrounding light before we begin.
Me: If there's anyone there, please go to yes with the oracle on the board.
BOARD: Y-E-S
Me: Is it ok if we ask you your name?
BOARD: Yes, D-M-E...
Me: Could you try again?
BOARD: D-E-M-O-N
(We take a pause and decide whether or not to go on. After a few minutes, we start over.)
Me: Any spirits that wish to communicate with us?
BOARD: Yes
Me: Are you male or female?
BOARD: M-A-L-E
Me: How old are you?
BOARD: 0
Me: So you've never lived before?
BOARD: T, Yes
Me: Any personal connections to anyone?
BOARD: Yes, G-O-D
Me: What's your name?
BOARD: L-U...
(We stop it because we already guess where that answer is headed. Our hands are freezing and we feel very nervous. We realize when we stop that GB has gone upstairs. We decide we don't like this downstairs entity and try for a different person upstairs.)
Around 10 or 11:21pm
Me: Is there anyone here?
BOARD: Yes
Me: Your name?
BOARD: E-T-A-Z...E-Z-S-R...E-Z-R-A
Me: Your name is Ezra?
BOARD: Yes
Me: Are you a girl?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Do you have any personal connections to anyone who lives here?
Ezra: No
(We take note that the atmosphere is a lot friendlier now, and decide that this probably is another entity. The dogs stay in the room. Ezra moves the table a little and startles Erin, so I ask her politely not to do it again.)
Me: Are you upset over something?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Are we upsetting you?
Ezra: No
Me: Why are you upset?
Ezra: E-V-I-L
Me: Evil is upsetting you?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Do you know the bad person downstairs?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Are they scaring you?
Ezra: No
Me: Do you know the bad person's name?
Ezra: Yes, D-E-M-O-N
(We stop and think about that one before we continue)
Me: Why is he upsetting you?
Ezra: B-O-R-E-S...(?)
Me: Have you been alive before?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Did you die in this house?
Ezra: No
Me: Did Demon have to do with your death?
Ezra: Yes
(I think of some past Ouija experiences)
Me: Have we ever spoken with you before?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Were you the person who said they were killed by "Geff"?
Ezra: No
Me: Do you have some kind of relationship with anyone here?
Ezra: Yes, D-E-M-O-N
Me: What kind of relationship?
Ezra: C-L-O-S-E
Me: Why?
Ezra: (Goes to No)
Me: Did he just show up one day and start bothering you?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Is there something you want to say to us?
Ezra: Yes, G-A-R-E-B-S-U-T-A-R-G-R-D......H-E-L-P
Me: Do you know who Amber is? (My stepsister)
Ezra: Yes
Me: There was a time we played Ouija in the garage, and someone pounded on the door. Was that the demon?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Did you set off her alarm clock?
Ezra: No
Me: So it was the demon?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Do you know how we can help?

Me: Is Demon responsible for your death?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Has he ever been alive before?
Ezra: No
Me: Do you mind if I ask how you died?
Ezra: No
Me: What did the demon do to you?

Me: What did he tempt you with?

Me: Are you the person who spelled out "no peace" last time?

Me: Do you like it here? Why?

Me: Is the bad person up here?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Do you know who Shane is? (my stepbrother)
Ezra: Yes
Me: Shane says that one morning he took a shower and when he got out, HELP was written on the mirror. Did you do that?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Can you tell us where you died?
Ezra: (Doesn't answer. A few of the chimes on the Christmas tree across the room move.)
Me: What is the demon doing?
Ezra: C-E-O...C-R-I-G-I-E...C-R-I-N-G-I-N-G
Me: Why is he cringing?
Ezra: T-H-E-G-6...T-H-E-G-I-R-L
Me: Are we making him weaker?
Ezra: Yes
Me: Who is he cringing at?
Ezra: G-I-6
Me: Is something wrong?
Ezra: Yes
Me: What is he doing?
Ezra: G-Y-S...(Guess?)
Me: Why do we have to guess?
(Right after that, Erin's phone goes off, the chimes on the tree jingle, and our dogs bark at the door. We wait and I check to see if anyone is outside, but no one is. We go back to the board.)
Me: Are you still there?
BOARD: NO
Me: What's your name?
BOARD: D-E-M-O-N
(I dunno who this demon is, but at that point, I feel extremely angry and annoyed with him.)
Me: What are you doing here?
Demon: E-Z-R-A...
Me: What are you doing with her?
Demon: F-I-G-H-T-I-N-G
Me: Why are you fighting?
Demon: E-Z-R-A-H-I-D-I-N-G
Me: Why are you scaring her?
Demon: G-I-R-L
Me: You like scaring girls?
Demon: Yes
Me: Why do you like scaring girls?
Demon: E-G-T-G-H-S-R-F-H-R-F (gibberish)
Me: Do you know where Ezra is hiding?
Demon: Yes
Me: Where is Ezra hiding?
Demon: I-R-G-R-H (more gibberish)
Me: Do you have a real name? What is it?
Demon: Yes, C-H-O-R-E (Chore?)
Me: Do you have something to say to us?
Demon: Yes, C-H-O-O-S-E
Me: Are you trying to tempt us?
Demon: Yes
Me: I'm not choosing anything that has to do with you. Where is Ezra?
Demon: A-R-E-U-G-O-O-D
Me: You're asking me if I'm good?
Demon: Yes
Me: I don't think I need to tell you something like that. We're going to stop now. Goodbye.
Demon: G-O-A-S-C-A-R-E...G-O-W-I-T-H-C-A-R-E.
After that experience, everyone was pretty freaked out. It didn't help that I was the only one sleeping in the basement. I put salt all over the board and stuck it in the garage under a toolbox, but one of my parents moved it back to the closet today. I went to bed last night at 2:30am, with my lights on, my TV on, a protective charm on my wrist, and praying like mad.
So, what I've gathered from that experience is that there is a poor soul named Ezra who needs help getting away from a demon. Oh, and the demon happens to chill in my basement sometimes. This makes me extremely uncomfortable. So I ask, is there anything I can do for Ezra? And, how do I get the demon away without some big exorcist deal with priests? He hasn't really done anything threatening, just what he said was slightly threatening, and he scared us a few times before. If it becomes a problem, should we just get rid of the board?
Until I can get a good straightforward answer, I've decided it's best not to touch the board for awhile. (If ever again.)

My ouija experience is pretty limited. All I really know is that you can't always trust the source as you can't always confirm the intentions behind what they say. Also you can't let what happens with a board scare you.
So that being said, do as you wish with the board.
As to the spirits, well, it's pretty much the same thing. Don't let them scare you, and unless you trust the source, don't believe them. Usually if you can do that much, they will leave on their own.
You can cleanse a room in various ways
Send them your unconditional love (I am serious about that)
prayers, blessings
crystals & charms
smudges (cedar, sweet grass, sage & tobacco) or incense burning and the smoke wisked out around the room
Wiccan spells (sorry don't know any myself)
improving the natural light entering a room
or envisioning divine light filling every corner
BTW you are not dealing with a demon. It is just a name he wants to be called by because of the reaction he would get. He is creepy but by believing that he is you give him power to make him seem as such.

Like Thyna, I can't offer much on this subject since I have no experience with ouja boards, however I might suggest getting rid of it (sorry they make me nervous) but I've always found belief to be a very powerful tool. Like gods, these things feed on belief... and starve on the lack of it. hope that helps.

When reading that I didn't get the sense that 'Demon' was a physical demon. I got the sense that he may have just been a guy who just calls himself 'demon' to do as he likes: scare girls. The fact that he stated he was never born and was related to God may not be entirely true. As living breathing humans, we are subject to lying, so, too, are entities. Truth telling is not something that just comes naturally for everything except humans, and we can't forget that.
As far as what to do...look online or in books (whichever is easiest for you) at easiest ways to contect spirits. One way that comes to mind is scribing, but that allows a spirit to take control of your hand to write, so it may be a bit dangerous with 'Demon' around. There should be other ways to communicate with Ezra that are safer though. Try to find out more about her story and go from there.

Just like Thyna said, You can't always trust the sources. My fiance and I have talked to a spirit who claims to be the spirit of one of his former girlfriend's daughter. She said that she would die before she was born but she was born just fine. As far as Demon goes I got the feeling that it was just a nick name. I've delt with a real demon living in my house. He was in our kitchen and scared my mother while she was taking a shower. My dad cleansed the house while we were all away but he came back the next week. After that, my fiance and I just told him that we weren't scared by him and eventually he left. Just don't be afraid. They can't hurt you if you don't let them.

I can't really help either, I wish I could, sorry. I'd say not to use the board again, but that's at your own judgement of course. I was taught to never use them, I used to own one..never did use it, too scared haha. But yes, I was taught that it opens a 'portal' between planes, and that generally only dark things answer threw it, because it creates a sense of fear as well, most people who use it are looking to get themselves scared, it's only natural to desire that thrill, (not saying that was your intention), but ya..dark things are drawn to fear, the more you fear them, the stronger they are over you, I know this from personal experience, when I give in and I let myself become terrified, the thing that frightens me..it has reached levels of physical power, but when I ignore it and I calm myself, it goes away..I think the same is here, it was trying to scare you, to get power over you. And Ezra, could very well have been the thing itself, what better way to draw you in? We as humans are drawn to the idea we can save someone, perhaps it believes that will make you come back, knowing your sensitive feelings will not let you disregard it.
That's my only idea for what you've depicted, and my own personal experience with dark things.
