So. In my spare time, I like to sit down and draw up new schematics for Pokemon Teams. Rarely, though, do I actually get around to raising any of them. Here's one I thought up recently. Also note that these are all made with their Platinum move lists, so what they may be unable to learn in D/P, they can learn in Platinum.

Lucario @ Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Inner Focus (Cannot Flinch)
EVs: 252 ATK/252 Speed/6 HP
~Swords Dance
~Close Combat
~Extreme Speed
~Ice Punch
Info: After a Swords Dance, practically everything falls to Close Combat. Extreme Speed is used to hit many frailer opponents first before I need to worry about it. I doubt he'd be my leader, but he's a strong contender when you think about it. Most players start off with things that would set things up like Spikes or Stone Edge or something that can Fake Out (and with Inner Focus...) That's just a free Dance. Ice Punch is because I'm afraid of Salamence. I'd normally go with Crunch, but that'll be covered a little later.

Medicham @ Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 ATK/252 Speed/6 HP
~Brick Break
~Psycho Cut
~Ice Punch
~ThunderPunch
Info: Okay, so with Pure Power combined with a Choice Band, his attack can reach a frightening 720. There's not much outside of Skarmory that can take a smack from something like that. He does have a disappointing Speed stat, a meager 259, but when given a single Speed Boost, it rockets up to 388. Brick Break and Psycho Cut for STAB, the other two are for coverage. ThunderPunch utterly destroys Gyarados.

Ninjask @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 ATK/252 Speed/6 HP
~X-Scissor
~Substitute
~Protect
~Baton Pass
Info: Okay, okay. So I just imported my Ninjask from my other team, big deeeal. I needed something that could Baton Pass and he worked out nicely. End of story

Kingdra @ Damp Rock
Nature: Modest
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Sp.ATK/194 Speed/92 HP
~Rain Dance
~Surf
~Dragon Pulse
~Signal Beam
Info: Rain Dance and Swift Swim make Kingdra easily one of the fastest Pokemon on the team. The EVs generate a Speed of 247, which outruns T-Tar before a Dance, and then outruns +Speed Nature Base 100 Speed Scarf'd Pokemon after. Also, Water/Dragon is amazing type coverage, resisted only by Empoleon and Shedinja. And it's not like the rest of my team is hindered by the Rain, either. Signal Beam also covers the Psychic-types that Crunch would have.

Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 HP/76 Sp.ATK/180 Sp.DEF
~Leech Seed
~Protect
~Surf
~Toxic
Info: lol. Staller. Shot caller. Ludicolo, when in the Rain, can dash in with a Leech Seed, Protect, Toxic your face, Protect then Surf you to pieces. Probably one of the most annoying Pokemon, since he only has two weaknesses. I don't expect him to kill much, but it's always fun to Stall. Should the Rain run out, I just switch him out again. Not much to see here.

Dusknoir @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish
Ability: Pressure (but he deserves Levitate...)
EVs: 252 HP/252 DEF/6 Sp. Def
~Will-O-Wisp
~Fire Punch
~Thunder Punch
~Pain Split
Info: Pain Split is a rather poor method of healing, but it's all he has outside of Rest. Since he is dreadfully slow, I can use this to my advantage: Take a hit then sap HP from the opponent. He's a good Tank, that's for sure. I suppose Fire Punch does take a hit if he were to come out in the Rain. Dusknoir is also one of the best Rapid Spin absorbers in the entire game. Since none of my Pokemon have a move like Stealth Rock or Spikes, this perk is rather useless, but it is nice to know that the opponent is just minus one move.

Happy Rating. : )

The first thing I notice is that three of your Pokemon are weak to Flying, which is a very common attacking type, and that you have two Fighting types and two Water types. So right off the bat, increase your type diversity.

And this problem persists into your moves: except for some status moves like Screech and Protect, you should avoid move repetition, such as you have with Ice Punch, Surf, and ThunderPunch.

Also, Pressure is a much better ability than Levitate in most situations. Unless your Pokemon is naturally weak to Ground, I'd choose Pressure every time.

Not a strategy critique, but Ludicolo has at least three weaknesses: Flying, Poison, and Bug.
