James Galway, the man with the golden flute. He has a kingma flute. Man, he makes a beautiful sound. I am playing one of his arrangements(Danny Boy) for an audition into the Lisurne Music Camp in New York this summer. I am also playin Jasmine which is a Chinese folk song. I played it with the West Shore High Schools Marching Band when they went to China. I'll talk about it more later, I don't like to brag...though, that did seem bragish. sweatdrop

We can't even get our director to go to Chicago for the Heritage Festival in April!!! We went to New York City last year and now she refuses to take us to Chicago because "we already took a big trip." Our Wind Ensemble got INVITED to Chicago! Why would you not go?

We're not going to Chicago because it would be pretty expensive especially at such hard times as these... i know this reply is probably pretty late... lol rofl

In my opinion you are lucky you GET to go on trips. Our band doesn't.
Flute is AMAZING! I like it on Hedwigs theme.

I play flute, and my favorite song we have played in band is Baby Elephant Walk. I think the mixture of the harmony and melody with the brass is beautiful. The tune is just so fun to play!
