My rat Sara, one of three, has a red bulge coming out of her birth canal. I have no idea what it is and when I try to look it up on the internet but nothing comes up. I am hoping someone knows what it is. I have made an appointment with the vet but they ere so full I can't get in till next week.
Can anybody tell me what it is? Me and my mom think it may be some type of cancer...

It's most likely cancer or a growth, if she's losing hair in that area and if its firm take her to a vet right away to have it removed before it has more time to spread

When I checked on her today it was gone
O.o
I'm completely lost on what happened, but I'm still taking her to the vet

My Olivia has to wear rat braces. Her tooth is trying to grow out of her chin >.<

Oh my, I had a rat like that, I always kept cuttle bones everywhere or her teeth would get out of control

Nope, shes only around other two other girls
The vet was baffled by it, he said she may have strained something but he couldn't be sure since it, well, disappeared
I'm trying to find a new vet, get a second opinion on it

Well, The vet believes it to be some kind tumor. Even though its been while since it happen but the vets are still unsure about what it really was. One thing I did find out about going to the vet though was that Sara does have signs of a tumor on the outside of her ribcage. Since we found this out early there is a good chance we can fix it before it gets too bad.
Also, sorry about taking so long to reply, I'm not very good at keeping up with guilds ^.^;

Well I hope everything goes ok! Its great that you cought it eary. ^^ My old rat Ronny ended up having a cancer tumor, we cought it too late. :[ Make sure to keep us updated on her health. XD
