I've been convinced I liked boys and girls since 7th grade(i'm in highschool now) and I have never liked one more than the other, their both equally attractive to me. I've gone out with both had sex with both and I don't think it's a big deal and shouldn't make a difference. I recently came out to my mom, and she started laughing at me and said thats a load of bullshit, it matters what gender you love, ask steve(my gay 2nd cousin), he'll tell you Bisexuality is a bunch of bullshit. Eversince then, shes been cracking sexuality jokes and telling me that I spread around my middle school I was a lesbian, wich I didn't some b***h did that in 8th grade, and telling me I can't go to any friend's house that she knows is bisexual. And I feel hated on by her because of this, my question is, do you think Bisexuality is a load of bullshit, or do you think it's a sexual orientation? what should I do to try and get her to understand? please help.

I personally don’t think that bisexuality is a load of crap because I am bi and I don’t want to be bi (-.- yea…). For one thing I know I was born bi because I had childhood fantasies and child sex games.
But now I have a theory about your friend saying bi is crap. Many girls pretend to be bi to get attention in the world because they are brats that they don’t know what the hell they are talking about. I understand this concept and accept that many people pretend to be bi. These people usually like gay/lesbians and support them.
Another theory that I have in mind is that some people briefly experience being bisexual in the time of puberty. These people are confused and have a lot on their minds.
Others finish puberty with the same feelings and then can officially be announced as bi.
Another, there is forms of bipolar disorder that distort the ability to tell what sexual origin a person is.
If you think that your bisexual then chances are, you are bisexual and your friend is a rotten person. Go get yourself another friend.

my mom did.
mymom won't let me hang out at her house because she knows I've dated her, kissed her etc.
oh and she walked in on us...erhem...ya.
but thanks for the response.

I feel the same, I'm equally attracted to both genders too.
I don't think there is anything you can really do to change your mum's views, though. :<
But stay positive! Someday you'll move out and her opinion won't have such a hold over you.
