Welcome to Writer’s Workshop!

Simply put, this is a type of advertising agency in where our business is pairing up people to work together in writing. More advanced literates are invited to a bit of charity work in taking on the role of a beta for those in need…or those simply desiring assistance.

The process is simple:

1. Read all the rules.
2. Fill out the application form.
3. I will post your application form on this Sticky…you do not post on this Sticky!
4. Check back periodically and look for your opposite (If you are a Writer, you are looking for a Beta and vice versa).
5. Once you have found someone you think you would get along with…Private Message them and ask them if they would like to be paired up with you. It is not my responsibility to pair up you with someone.
6. If you have found a match, then please Private Message me so I can post it :3

Es good?

Good.

Now, let’s we can only pray this will be a success xD

Rules

1. This is a program to help each other…not shoot them down. Be courteous and respectful.
2. If you at anytime want to stop working with someone, please private message me about your concerns and I will take care of it.
3. Do not harass someone if they do not want to work with you or choose to stop for whatever reason. If you are being harassed then please notify me…
4. You may interact with each other any way you choose. Through Private Messaging, through role playing in the role play forum…or writing on this sub forum, Writer’s Workshop.

Of course, these are subject to change at any given point in time as I see fit :3

Betas

Hello, my name is Spawn of Enmity
But you can call me Chibi, Enmity, or anything else you can come up with.

I am a Beta
Seeking a Writer

My strong points are Creativity, Organization, Introductions, Quality Writing
I would like someone to help me with Vocabulary
My style of writing is Role Playing, Short Stories, and Novels
Genres I like to write/read about are Fantasy, Science Fiction, Comedy, Dramas…for Fanfiction: Naruto, Escaflowne…better to just ask what I do know xD
Genres I do not like to write/read about are Fanfiction: Twilight Series
Types of pairings I don't mind writing/reading are Any…but preferably Heterosexual
Types of pairings I don't like writing/reading are Eh…I’m okay with most all. Just not…overwhelming yaoi o_O

My favorite types of writing/reading material are action/adventure stories set in medieval/fantasy times…I also really like military based stuff. I like romance when it adds to a person’s character, but I don’t like it to be soaked in it.
What I despise writing/reading about are stories about girls saving the world…and “chosen ones.” Like Twilight xP

My availability is Low
I am most likely to reply on Sunday, Tuesday and Sunday
I can commit to reply to you once every three day(s)

I would just like to say...that I’m not the best writer in the world. I’m definitely not much better than most people, but I’m proficient in editing and looking over writing to make sure it makes sense. I will provide constructive criticism and try to help in any way that I can. My game plan is mostly to help a writer develop his or her writing by giving writing exercises…like giving prompts and instructions for the person to respond to.
A sample of my writing looks like...this is an example of what one of my writing prompts look like.

Writing Exercise: Empty

“Would you care for a refill?”

Verdant orbs lazily deviated from the printed text of his paperback novel to the other who had questioned him. Raising a brow subconsciously, the male’s lips were set in a firm line as he spoke just above a whisper, “Pardon?”

“Your drink, it’s empty.” Started the blonde male with a smile while raising a pale hand as a gesture to the container he was currently carrying full of black liquid. “Would you care for a free refill?”

Blinking only once before shifting his gaze to his empty cup of coffee and back to the cheery café employee, the male seemed to mule over this proposition as if it were a life-defining moment. After a moment however, he nodded his consent and returned to his reading with a quiet, “Thank you.”

An example of my role playing looks like this: (This is an introduction for a Gundam Wing role play with the character, Wufei Chang).

Who didn’t love a party?

Bright lights and fireworks illuminating the night sky, music of the sweetest resonance resounding in one’s ears, the splendid grace of the dancers on the ballroom floor…such a spectacular display. Who wouldn’t be smiling at the beauteous scene of laughter and ignorant bliss?

Who didn’t love to eat and drink merrily while only miles away people were dying in a war? Risking their lives so these political pigs could continue to live their comfortable lifestyle of late nights and gambling.

Disgusting.

Though, the young pilot had to give the bastards some credit he supposed.

Though it was a celebration, at least it was one pertaining to the war…tonight was to be the debut of OZ’s newest mobile doll. The Capricorn. Little information had been released of the abomination. Little was to be released tonight…this was all just a publicity stunt.

And oh so perfect a night to kill off at least half of OZ’s leading administrators.

Not to mention, to get a taste of what these new mobile dolls could do. Supposedly, they were the first to be created for all three battle arenas: space, land, and water.

A formidable opponent indeed.

But would it prove strong enough to deal justice unto him for once?

Hmph. Unlikely.

Voids of near onyx remained focused on the pristine tile floor he treaded upon, hardly daring to glance up in a supposedly humble manner. In a slender hand was carried what appeared to be an electrician’s bag of equipment, or any other occupation of that social standing. It was obvious that he wasn’t one invited to the party…he was just working behind the scenes to make sure all went well.

They wished.

Using his free hand to further lower a light blue cap adorning his head, the male youth continued to amble in a calm and near sluggish manner. As one is ought to do when not in a hurry or dwelling deep within thought. Obscuring tresses of silken ebony, the hat cast a subtle shadow over a wide forehead, slender brows, and slanted, half-lidded eyes. Said threads of night were tied back in a tight ponytail at the nape of his neck. Should they be unbound, the lockets would reach no further than to brush his shoulders.

Ruckus from the ballroom fell upon deaf ears as the Chinese male maneuvered about the mansion hosting the party. Bowing his head respectfully to those who rarely passed him by and answer in a low, bored tone to those that requested an answer of him, the male no older than fifteen continued his graceful saunter. One foot after another fell upon the tiled floor, yet never made a sound…

Movements reminiscent of a feline, coupled with a physical structure and subtle beauty that should have been reserved for a woman.

Adorning his chiseled form was a jumpsuit of sorts matching the cap. A grease stain on this pant leg and a slight tear on that arm gave him the appearance of a long day’s work.

But in reality, his work had only just begun.

Located in a hall just beyond the ballroom and festivities, the young gundam pilot knelt down beside a nondescript wall, moving quickly as his eyes scanned the room to assure that he was left in solitude. In the darkness the male began his work, praying silently that the shadows might keep his position hidden for just a little longer. He was almost finished with this small facet of the mission. Slender fingers moved in a blur of motion to unscrew an electric socket from the wall. Then, from his bag the male produced an interesting trinket, small lights of red and green blinking dimly in the dark.

Even without the aid of his sight, digits of caramel skin moved across the small device, pressing buttons with surety in each movement. After a short while, the device made a small sound, just as a soldier would accept a command. As pale lips twitched into a smile on his otherwise grim features, the Chinese male made room for the instrument of destruction within the wall. Once such was accomplished, he covered it once again with the electric socket.

No one would ever know.

Eight in all he’d planted within the walls surrounding the partygoers. Eight little angels of death, of which would sing their symphony of dirges with just a press of a button.

It would not be beautiful and it would not bring him personal satisfaction…

But it would be justified. And that’s all that mattered.

Picking himself up and his bag of supplies, the male began his trek back to the outdoors. He’d already planned out his escape route. It would be quite simple really…

Once he was a fair distance away, he’d set the bombs off, make a sprint back to his camouflaged Nataku, fight off a of these new Capricorns…and find a shelter for the night somewhere in the nearby mountains.

Or, at least, that was the basics of the plan. He was smart enough to know that his plan could never go that smoothly. Something always went wrong, and he had to prepare himself physically and mentally for the worst.

But then, who paid attention to a lowly electrician when there were great leaders of the political world all about? Who would even notice him as he simply walked away from it all? If questioned, the simple answer of “My shift is over” would suffice, would it not?

And yet, there was that gut wrenching feeling of something just going wrong…

Growling at himself and forcibly suppressing his irrational thoughts, the young pilot continued on his way, using the back hallways and going out of his way just to avoid any more social contact.

For he was the Solitary Dragon. He worked alone, lived alone, would die alone…

Always alone.

And he liked it that way.
