Here is the section for us to talk about MARCHING BAND!! Tell us: 1. What show your band did. 2. The names of the movements 3. Describe each movement 4. A link to preview the show, if it's online. 5. What you did in the band. Here is mine: 1. Night Visions 2. 1)Darkness Descending; 2)Nightscapes ;3)Sunrise/Conflict and Triumph 3. 1)A fast movement that begins in 3/4 and ends in 4/4. You can actually picture the sun setting. 2) A slow movement that features a Mellophone solo that is absolutely beautiful. 3) The fastest of the 3 movement of the three. It's a very playful movement in which you can almost picture the battle between night and day as the sun prepares to rise. 4. Night Visions 5. I am a flute player!

Wow! I couldn't imaging trying to march in weather that bad! It's hard to play our flutes outside when it's cold period! At our Christmas parade, one girl in my section lost feeling in her fingers and had to stop marching, my flute was so cold that it hurt to touch it! It would suck to live anywhere colder!!!

This year was my freshman year of marching band. I am an eighth grader, it was an honor. hehe. We did Wright: the story of the Wright Brothers. we didnt have names for our three movements except opener, ballad and closer. How exciting stare I marched flute. I was one out of seven(includes a picc). I upstaged the seniors at an eighth note chromatic run. I was surprised. gah, I got off track. anyway, the first movement was orville and wilbur deciding to build a plane, creating it, flying and crashing it. The second, our ballad (ice dances from edward scissorhands), was wilbur writing a letter to his dad saying they failed and they were starting to loose hope. The last movement was the wright brothers made the plane and actually flew it! YAY! We had a 40 feet plane on the field that we made for the show. at the beginning we had box kites and bikes. It was a sweet show. The year before, our marching band did einstein. I wasn't in it but I soooo wish I was. At Spotlight, it was wicked awesome. This year, we took first place at our nationals in annapolis. We were against 13 other bands and it was a first for our school. Our season just ended a month ago and we found out next years show...snow day! whee Oh, and after our first movement, we got to die. That is all.

1. "Aqua"
2. Steam/Vapor, Liquid, and Ice.
3. Steam/Vapor is a fairly fast song, pretty much 4/4 the entire time with some time hemiolas near the end (yay), the longest song of the show. Liquid is the ballad, including mallet features and a Trumpet solo (I'm friends with this year's soloist, woop!). Ice is the fastest song, lots of crescendos, and very short.
4. The only band-related video my school has online is a Winterguard show.
5. I march with Tenor Sax, usually playing the bottom parts if they're split, unless it goes down to B or B-flat. C:
