Soarin`s RP Contest!
I'm holding a Rp Contest for the last puppy in the litter I need to give away.

Some brief history of Gemini and her family:
Gemini was born as a high classed purebred and bought by the curator of a very famous air and space museum. Each day since she was adopted she walked the museum and learned about space ships and planes. Then one day walking alone she bumped into a stray. He gave her eggnog and that was the end of that one. She swelled up and gave birth to a litter of six puppies. Her owner being nice gave the puppies away to five of his employees and kept one for himself. Being the kind of mother that Gemini was she wanted to teach her children about the items in the museum. None of her puppies were to become strays- though when not at the museum they live with the employees who have adopted them.
This is where YOU come in!
(Your siblings names from left to right - Io (girl), Shuttle (boy), Nova (boy), Up for Grabs (?), Apollo (boy), Luna (girl) )

Name: Nebula Origin: From the Latin word for "cloud" Brief Personality: Nebula is a complete and utter space dork. She yearns to find out all she can about space, and all its contents. She is a kind and loving soul, but her love will always be the museum. Pormpt Answer:
The pup sniffed her new owner curiously, trying to get a bit of a feel for her personality before she was taken home with her. Without even taking a whiff, the tiny puppy could tell she was pretty, for a human. She had blonde hair running just past her shoulders, only a bit curly. Her eyes were a bright green, and she had a multitude of freckles about her face. That, and she smiled warmly every time the pup looked up at her. Taking another sniff, the pup decided that this girl seemed nice, as well as loving.
She would make a good home. Suddenly, the longhaired pup's body shifted, and so did the human's. The girl was walking, the pup decided, confused at whether or not she should be excited or scared. Then, a door opened and closed, and the two were in a new room. This new room was a giant bubble, and really, really dark. Looking upwards, the little pup could see that the room was not entirely the color of pitch. Her tiny little blue-green eyes reflected the wonder she saw in the ceiling of the room. Colors upon colors, swirling, spinning, flipping. All doing different things, the beings in the ceiling were extraordinary.
Then, the new owner of the pup spoke. Her voice was fluid and sweet, a sound the pup only wished she could hold on to. "You see that?" She pointed to a pink, purple, and green figure in the ceiling, glowing in neon shades. "That's called a Cat's Eye Nebula. It's one of my favorite things to come look at while I'm on break here at the museum, while I'm not studying the sky and updating our constellation system. It's so beautiful, isn't it?" She smiled up at the model, not even seeing the other nebulae swirling around it. "That's why I'm naming you Nebula, because you're now one of my favorite things here at the museum." She smiled again, lifting Nebula up to nuzzle her. That was when Nebula knew all would be okay.
That was also why, whenever Nebula visited the museum (which was very often) Nebula trotted straight over to the Nebula room, and begged to be let it. It was her favorite thing - the beautiful nebulae twinkling in the ceiling. Absolutely stunning.
I wanna be an astronaut!
((D; Sorry if that's not an actual job at a museum... I just made something up ont he spot that sounded good. >>))

A blue puppy appears at the doorway of the museum before stopping to look at you. "Hi.. My name is Isis.. I was just given to my owner, Miss Tiffany." She used her paw to point up at the woman who has short brown wavy hair. "She is really kind and loves to spoil me with anything I want.." She trots up to her owner, leading you to her new owner which is getting you to be interested in the museum and the workers. "She is even there for when I am sad or hurt... She is my very bestest best friend.. We even share the same love for the moon... " She tilts her head. "You never heard of the Egyptian story of the moon? Oh, goodie!! I get to show you." She barked happily with a cute tone of voice to it.
She moves towards the moon exhibit and points to the various stories that is posted near each picture of culture gods and goddess. "Look to the last one to the right by the moon.. That one is our favorite besides the greek goddess. She has a really good story about her life.. " She sits down and cleared her throat. "I can't read it but I know it by heart... " She began to tell you the story of the Egyptian goddess of the moon.
"The Story of Isis and Osiris
In the days before Re had left the earth, before he had begun to grow old, his great wisdom told him that if the goddess Nut bore children, one of them would end his reign among men. So Re laid a curse upon Nut - that she should not be able to bear any child upon any day in the year.
Full of sorrow, Nut went for help to Thoth, the thrice-great god of wisdom and magic and learning, Re's son, who loved her. Thoth knew that the curse of Re, once spoken, could never be recalled, but in his wisdom he found a way of escape. He went to Khonsu, the Moon-god, and challenged him to a contest at draughts. Game after game they played and always Thoth won. The stakes grew higher and higher, but Khonsu wagered the most, for it was some of his own light that he risked and lost.
At last Khonsu would play no more. Then Thoth the thrice-great in wisdom gathered up the light which he had won and made it into five extra days which for ever after were set between the end of the old year and the beginning of the new. The year was of three hundred and sixty days before this, but the five days which were added, which were not days of any year, were ever afterwards held as days of festival in old Egypt.
But, since his match with Thoth, Khonsu the moon has not had enough light to shine throughout the month, but dwindles into darkness and then grows to his full glory again; for he had lost the light needed to make five whole days....."
The puppy drew a breath and continue on with her eyes sparkling, since she loves to tell the story over and over again.
Once she finished, she pants gently. "I hope you don't mind such a long story.. I always learn something new about the moon.. She is very interesting..." She perked up when she hears her owner calling her. "Excuse me." She runs towards her owner with happy barking. "Yes, Mama Tiffany?" The woman smiled and asked, "What are you doing? I hope you aren't boring our customer, hun.." The puppy shook her head and smiled. "I am telling the customer about The myth of the Egyptian Moon Goddess, Mama Tiffany! Hehehe. Just like you would." The woman beams and picked up her puppy, petting her and giving her lots of love."
The woman moves over to you with a smile. "I hope you don't mind her telling the story.. She knows the stories by heart due to me telling her every night before bed." She chuckles softly before nuzzling her puppy.. "Oh, you have to go?" She looks at you with a smile. She nodded gently. "Be sure to come back.. Isis will be sure to tell you other stories about our dear lady of the moon." As you leave, the puppy, Isis waved ever so cutely bye to you. You couldnt help but smile before you leave the museum. [I will link this story for you.. since it is so long. The story is copyrighted to the site... ] [ The myth of Isis is the site where the rest of the story is..] I wanna be an astronaut

"Space log of Laika day one," A small light blue puppy with an eager sparkle in her eye and a happy wag in her tail barked into a tape recorder.
"Hi there! My name's Laika. And this is going to be my astronaut journal! I'm gonna record stuff here like a real space traveler would! So... I guess I sould start with the basics right? Um...Okay. Well my mommy's name is Gemini. She lives with the owner of this really cool place called a space museum! Inside there's all kinds of cool things! Like the giant models of....What's the word again...Oh yeah! The solar system! There another thing too. It's where Mr. Donni works. He's my new owner. He's really cool! Anyway....Oh right! He works in this biiiiiig room with a giant T.V. that goes all on the walls. He's says it's called a eye-max. The big T.V plays a movie about space. I saw one and it was about a dog from a place called Russia. She was a stray but then the space station found her and named her Laika. There was a lot of stuff in it about her hard training and a bunch of scientific stuff too that I don't really understand yet. But I learned so much about Laika! She was one amazing dog. Mr. Donni took me out of the room right before Laika took off in the big spaceship though, so I never got to see the end. But I'll Laika had a big huge sucessful mission! When Mr. Donni took me outside, he looked at me and said, 'You know what little puppy of mine? I'm going to name you laika, just like the dog you saw in the video. I want you to grow up to be smart and strong, just like her. I'm sure you'll do something great one day.' I was so happy to be named after such a cool dog! After that, Mr. Donni took me for a tour of the museum. I got to go inside the most bestest thing there! It's called a flight simulater. You go inside and it's just like a real space ship cabin! Mr.Donni pushed a bunch of buttons and it felt like we were really flying in space! I imagined being Laika when I was there. Someday, I'm gonna go in a actual ship and fly through space with all five of my siblings, 'cause I wanna be an astronaut, just like Laika!"

Name: Stella Polaris Origin: Name of an Israeli recon sat;; Astronomy- the polestar or North Star, a star of the second magnitude situated close to the north pole of the heavens, in the constellation Ursa Minor: the outermost star in the handle of the Little Dipper;; a two-stage U.S. ballistic missile, usually fired from a submerged submarine. Origin of the word: 1955–60; short for ML stella polāris polar star Gender: Female Brief Personality: Stella in a very intellectual and bright pup, she knows what she's doing and loves to help out. She has excellent memory and can rattle off facts faster than a rocket as it breaks out of the atmosphere. So, be careful what you ask her, because she'll tell you all she knows about it, whether you wanted to hear it or not. Prompt Answer: A little longhair puppy sat calmly in the front seat of Astrid Kepler's Toyota Yaris. In her soft, padded crate the puppy watched her new owner thoughtfully. As soon as she had been handed off to Miss Kepler she felt like a part of her family. Kissed and fondly with affection and caring, she was placed into the crate with a blanket that smelled heavily of her mother, Gemini. Though she missed her already, the puppy remembered that Astrid told not to worry and that she would see her again. Soon, the puppy fell into a content sleep, knowing her heart that all would be well and that her mother was right in letting her go home this Miss Kepler. A sweet sigh came from the small crate that made Astrid smile, the museum worker was happy knowing that all the puppies would be well cared for and not have to worry about their next meal or where they would sleep.
When the puppy awoke her surroundings had changed. Where are we? she asked herself, emitting a small nervous whine. The crate door opened and she stumbled out into a curious-looking room. It was full of colors, mostly blues and blacks, with pictures of planets and nebula's, stars, and galaxy's. My, she must really love her job at the museum. thought, the pup seriously. There were diagrams and folders covering the counters, full of the newest interplanetary information. But, other than that the living space was well kept. And there's plenty of room for me to play and frolic, like a good space dog should. she thought to herself, happily. "This is your home now, sweetie." Astrid said kindly, sitting down next to the pup. Looking over at the blue-furred dog, who was quickly exploring the new place, she said, "I think I'll name you Polaris, but we'll call you Stella. You know for the polar star. Nature's compass, they call it or the North Star. Maybe you'll grow to be a helpful dog and we could to Therapy Dogs International..." the young woman laughed as the longhair tilted her head not comprehending what her mistress was saying, but recognizing the soft, cheerful tone. "Let's try it out then... Stella, come here girl!" The puppy ran to her jumping up and covering Astrid in snuffly kisses.
Before falling asleep that night, Stella went over everything she knew about Astrid and what she did at the museum. Astrid did a lot of technology work with computers and such, though Stella hardly knew what any of that meant, but it sounded important. Researching, updating, making sure equipment worked properly, etc. But, what Stella really looked forward to was going inside a simulator, or whatever it was, to get a feel for what space was like. She had yet to see the night sky anyway, but from what Astrid said, it must be beautiful. Stella yearned to learn all she could about this fascinating subject. How did people get up into space, why is it called space? It doesn't sound empty... the small puppies mind slowed down and she drifted into dreams of stars and traveling to space with Astrid, her head resting on her rubber Earth ball.
I wanna be an astronaut! {{OOC: Gemini so gorgeous as are the puppers! -wants this one badly...- Congrats on the litter. :3 }}

Name: Pluto (name of the Roman god of the Underworld) Gender: Female Personality: Pluto would be curious and full of life, never letting a minute pass by without fully experiencing every minute joy of it. Scents, colors, sounds, sensations, emotions, and every little thing in between are what she loves. Pluto's high on life, and can't wait for her's to truly start. She'd also be a bit of a trouble maker, for her love of life. Response to Prompt: "Mommy, where are we going?" The nameless pup asked Gemini curiously. She was ever so excited of the feeling of being in the big metal thing that Gemini's funny two legged mommy and daddy owned. She could feel the wind on her fur and see the beautiful blurs of color passing by her.
Gemini sighed, not knowing what to tell her daughter, but at least glad to see the poor thing off to her new home. "We're going to a giant place with lots of neat things to look at, darling! Don't worry, we'll be there shortly." She said, sighing once again.
As the machine rumbled to a stop, the puppy had a sudden urge to use the restroom. "Mommy, I think I need to go to the potty. Right now! What do I do?" The pup whimpered and whined.
"Try to hold it as best as you can!" Gemini said, hoping to goodness that they'd get outside fast enough for the poor dear to do her business. When she saw the door open she felt a jolt of relief that was so great she could all but bark with it.
When the big two legged thing picked up the pup and put her down again, she felt the urge to go grow a bit too strong. Right then and there, the pup plopped down and let loose. Only to find out that she'd made a mistake. She'd made an uh oh on a bright red shoe. "Uh oh." She squeaked.
The two legged think above her was replying to whatever her mommy's daddy had said. Something that was in a different language than she spoke. "What are they saying mommy? I can't understand them!"
"He's saying that it's alright that you made an uh oh, but listen to me young lady! You do not do such things!" Gemini barked.
The uh oh two legged thing picked her up and said something else. "What's he saying now mommy?" She whimpered, but liking the feel of his warm skin against her soft cerulean fur.
"Your name is Pluto baby, learn to understand what he's saying. It's not too hard." Gemini's daddy called her name, and she said one last thing to her daughter, "Don't worry baby. Mommy's going away for a while, but you'll see me again. The person holding you is going to be your daddy, so listen carefully to what he says and be good!"
"I'll be good mommy! I'll try to listen to what he says and I won't be a bad girl, I promise!" Pluto barked, wiggling with joy at having a name. She knew that the best part of being at this place, however neat, was going to be seeing her mommy again.
~~~
Later on, after being with her daddy for a few months and learning to understand his language a little, he brought her to work with him at the place he called a museum. When she walked through the door, he told her gently, "Don't be a bad girl Pluto! Remember what happened last time I brought you to work with me. . . Don't eat anymore planetary systems, okay? And please, please don't cause too much trouble!"
Pluto understood the words eat, don't, Pluto and bad girl. She put this all together to mean 'If you don't eat, you'll be being a bad girl!', so Pluto ran off to find something to chew on. She decided that the diagram of Pluto would be a good start. It was colorful and looked like it had things like: Pluto is not a real planet because it's made of ice and rock, like a comet. And it's in the Kuiper Belt, because of those traits.
But Pluto couldn't tell about those things. All she knew about was that it was tasty and colorful.
