Hello writers! Are you in dire need of a person to check up on your spelling and grammar because you're just not sure it's correct? Don't be ashamed, we all go through that. Doubting your work and calling in help is not a sign of weakness.
question Are you in need of a beta-reader? Would you like some extra help with revising? Here is the right thread to seek help.
arrow Just sign up by filling in the list below and post them in this thread. Please copy the questions and write the answers behind them.
What is your native language and how good/bad are you in English? Your fandom and/or genre you write most in or want to beta for? For romance: do you write/are you willing to beta female/male relationships and/or slash same sex relationships? Any other notes you want to add. For example: about time taken to beta, special things you (need a) look at (like flow, plot, characters, only grammar), etc.
A list with usernames, blurb-descriptions and a link to the original post will be established in the next 7 posts of this thread.

Yay, can't wait to see this guild in full swing biggrin
My listing: 1) My first language is English and I'm very literate. 2) My genre is Fantasy, specifically original epic fantasy (novel-length). 3) The book in question has mainly f/m relationships of at at most a PG-13 variety. The sequel (I'm working on a trilogy) may end up a bit racier but much of that is still to be written. 4) email: gammyun@hotmail.com or PM me. 5) Basically, it's a fantasy trilogy... the first book is complete and the second book is approaching the halfway mark. The first book is what I want to concentrate on editing. There are 45 chapters - most chaps around 3-4,000 words but some are really short. The whole book is about 132,000 words long.

- what is your first language and how good/bad are you in English? (if you want a beta for other languages, please state which and answer the same question) -My first language is English, and I'm fairly decent. Fluent, but I definitely need a little help.
- what is your fandom and/or genre you need a beta for? (for example: only fanfiction for a special fandom; only original (non)fiction of a special genre; only action or only romance etc.) - I have two things that need beta-ed. One is Inuyasha fanfiction (I actually have several fics that need worked on) and an original fantasy novel.
- het/straight (female/male relationships) or slash (same sex relationships) or both? (always important, don't want to hurt anyone's feelings now do we?) - Both are het pairings.
- your email-adress you can be reached at. (or state if you want to contact by PM/AIM/MSN etc. first) - ocelosh@hotmail.com, but you can reach me on Aim if you like.

sorry i took this from the other post.
- if you need a beta or do you want to beta? I need a beta, but I can beta as well... I just need a beta - what's your first language and how good/bad are you in English? english/mien, but i was born here so I good with my English - your fandom and/or genre you write most in or want to beta for. I write mainly adventure/action/ but I write all around so that would include romance/drama/angst. genre-lots of magic/modern/spacey/rural period/...gah all around as well. - het or slash or doesn't matter? (always important, don't want to hurt anyone's feelings now do we?) it doesn't matter really, I find I need someone to praise me and sometimes to humiliate my writing out. - your email-adress the stories can be sent to. dragonsnslumber@hotmail.com - any other notes you want to add. (for example about time taken to beta, special things you look at (like flow, plot, characters), etc) I want the betaer to look at my work carefully and try to pick out everything I did wrong. I don't care much for gramma or spelling errors, i'd like you to focus on plot, transition, and the character's personality.

I'm looking for someone that can proof a Star Trek based story. I wouldn't really call it a fanfic since it takes place in an alternate universe and my friend and I made up practically everything. I would says its PG or PG 13 so be warned. I need my Beta to read the 10 chapters written so far, check grammer, plot, and continuity. Complicated TimesIf you want the .doc email me at alicia86@gmail.com
