I'm not sure if this would be the correct section for this to be posted in, but even if it's not, it can always be moved, so no big deal, right?
Anyways, I just wanted to post a few rumours I've heard/read about the next Zelda game for the Nintendo Wii.
From what I've read I can conclude that the biggest rumour is that Nintendo is supposedly wanting to change Zelda a bit for the next title. I've yet to read anything into deep details about this, however, I have read that they've revealed that they're looking for a "big change" so to speak, for the series. Now, I've already stated this is just a RUMOUR, so don't expect it to be necessarily true. If they were to change it at all, what do you think they should do? (i.e., more in-depth story, different gameplay, graphical updates and changes, etc.)
Another rumour I've read is that they may use Wii Motion+ for the next Zelda game, but again, this is only a rumour.
Feel free to give your thoughts on this and post any rumours you've heard about the game here. =)
(The only thing I know that was really confirmed so far is that they ARE working on a new Wii title in the franchise.)

Don't forget the whole FF fake trailer, lol. That was rumored to be actual LoZ screenshot material.

Beronias you know what would be awesome?! a zelda game where the characters actually had voices! yea...NO. that would be totally stupid, considering that no talking is link's trademark. besides, you can hear midna's voice kinda partially and you can hear ganon's voice in SSB series. sorry but that would be dumb. sweatdrop what i want is another game like Majora's mask. that, would be sweet. ^^

My friend Ray and I had a big conversation over IM about this.
Since both of us have been big Zelda freaks since Kindergarten, we were super excited about this news.
He's still excited, but my excitement has dropped No Wii, no new Zelda for Kaitlin.
But anyways, I no longer have the conversation, but we thought up all of these strange ideas that would fit in with how it's not going to be like any other Zelda title made.
His idea was that it would be obviously after Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass, but not too far after.
My idea was that it would be taking place in a very modern setting, either not too far back in the past, like... the warring eras of 1914, and of course, 1939. If not, it would take place in our future, like... 2020 or something weird like that.
There's my two cents. : )

i think if it was like majora in the sense that it was
really different from just saving zelda and fighting ganon
that would be cool
and also if it was like WW and PH
animation that would be cool too
little link is just so cute

I always appreciated The Oracle of Seasons the most out of any game because of the Subrosians, I love those guys. (literally, since there's only one female in the whole dimension XD)
However what I also loved about that game was it felt more like an RPG to me because of the ring system. I used the Zora ring a lot because I loved being able to breathe under water. Increasing other abilities and aspects of Link, tunic color perhaps, would be a great addition to the series. (The Legend of Zelda, the original, had Link wearing a white tunic, why did it go away?)
I'd also like to see more of the Fierce Deity. He strikes me as a Hyrulian War God but little is known about him.
But the one thing I'd love is not for Link to continually go into more and more modern Environments but to go back to the past. I mean the really really distant past. We're talking the Great War that actually started the conflict over the Triforce in the first place. I'd love to run around as Link or perhaps a reincarnaiton of his ancestor or simply time travelling self and fight in a massive war between the humans, hyrulains, orcs, what have you.
To me Ganondorf will never get old either. What I want to see is more about his past. We know he's a Gerudo but we don't know how he grew up. Why is he evil, who was his father, because obviously Ganondorf looks a little different than the other Hyrulians. Playing as him as he grows up, much like Bowser is played in various Mario games, most notably the Paper Mario series, would be a blast. We've all probably played Ganondorf in Brawl and Melee, so don't you want the whole apple not just a bite?
Anyway that's where I think the series should go. I do maintain that it will bear little resemblance to any handheld because Nintendo is very careful to keep the two sagas separate. Console installments are harder and darker generally and handhelds are lighter and easier. Twilight Princess was the tip of the iceberg to me.

Personally I think it would be cool if they added lands outside Hyrule, like how -to me atleast- Hyrule seems like a more Medival setting, what if they had otehr setting based off like... ancient Egypt or something? Change of scenery. I wanna see Link climbing a Pyramid. 8D
Or what if they started the game with Ganon (or some other baddie if everyone hates him so much XP) already ruling everywhere and Link and whoever else has to overthrow them?
Or I can totally go off my rocker and suggest that Hyrule becomes a Mafia in NYC and Zelda is the Don's daughter and Gannondorf is a hitman and Link is a gansta... Ima go cry in a corner now.

The girl behind Link?...well,take notice he weilds no sword.I beleive it may be the spirit of tha master sword. But,here are 'rumors' I've heard: -Motion-plus capability -new story line -a small chance it may be released this year(no promises,unfortunatley)
