Twenty years have passed since mutants became common knowledge of the world. Since then this new world has been split down the middle, each in fear of the other. Those that are not mutants look poorly on those that are mutants. The majority of humans hate mutants and what nothing to do with them, some even prefer to see mutant killed off. Because of this most of the mutants population either hides their abilities for as long as they can or run away from the world, their homes, their family, their friends, and their life. Now, twenty years later two options are available for the mutants wish to have a life in this world and a chance to survive: The Brotherhood and The X-Men.
These two sides are constantly fighting each other to achieve their goals for the future of mutant kind. The Brotherhood is full of mutants that have a strong hate for humans and wish to be the dominant race on the planet, whether or not humans exist doesn’t care to them. The X-Men fight to protect humanity and to find a way for peaceful co-existents between mutants and human. All mutants will have to decide which side they will join if they are to have a chance to safe their future. The question is now, which side will win. The humans may very hold the key to one of the side victory.

There are currently a few small no-no's at the moment in the roleplay that you need to know. As long as you don't break them, then you can roleplay without any hold back. So please keep these in your mind as you roleplay.
1.) Currently the Savage Lands are off limits. Do Not Post In Them! I would like it so that the thread will be entered into the roleplay after we get the roleplay for a period of time. It will be one of the threads that won't come into play in the beginning. There is a possibility that more threads will be made if the roleplay progress far enough and is able to be move in that direction.
2.) You can't kill the President, William Stryker, or Senator Kelly. No matter how much you wish too. They are the None Killable Characters at the moment and will remain that way until I decided to change it. Xavier and Magneto fall into this area but at the moment they will be far too strong for you to hurt and because of this, I am not worrying too much about them being killed.
3.) Please only roleplay within the location offered. Read the description that comes with the thread! Don't go to New York and roleplay you are in Canada! Please, if needed, post that you just came from Canada and so forth...straight forward. So far we only the areas of New York, Washington, parts of Canada and Scotland, and a very small piece of outer space offered to roleplay in as locations.
4.) You cannot make threads period for you roleplaying experience. If you like another location to be added into the roleplay, please talk with me and I will considered. I would prefer not to have a hundred threads in the X-Men guild.
In time, more may come but at the moment...these are the only that have a big flashing light bulb above them for me bring attention to them. As time goes on and I see things happening and take their course I will add, change, remove information as necessary. I will post updates in the Update Threads in main thread with the Chatterbox for the entire guild.

Okay, this is the big one that is very important for this type of roleplay. Hence the reason why this gets it own post! God-Modding, meaning literally acting like a God in the roleplay, is strictly forbidden. I will give warnings if you are getting close to God-Modding. As long as you follow these guidelines, you should be fine.
1.) Okay, this is simple enough. Your powers can be able to destroy the world with a blink of an eye or wave of the hand. That is called God-Modding to the extremes!!!!
2.) While your powers can be very destruction and/or dangerous in the roleplay, you cannot wipe out towns or cities, leveling them to the ground alone. People can be killed, not recommend for good doers, but don't go overboard, remember be reasonable and believable. Even if your power is the ability to control fire like a master you cannot attack a group of a hundred of people and turn them to ask in one attack. One or two can be killed in a group but some will be injury greatly at best. You will probably need help or need to attack multiple times with or without the using of your surroundings to help you.
*Example: Even Cyclops with his optical attack, could not vaporize kill hundreds without blowing up some highly explosive or without being extremely close to his target.
3.) If your character is going to be young and new to the world of mutants, your powers will be hard to control and using them will be extremely exhausting to you. At this point, extreme stress will be one of the only possibilities for you tap into your powers without experience.
*Example: Jubilee fireworks powers could only be called forth in the beginning under stress or when her live was in jeopardy, that and each time she used her powers she was almost to the point of becoming unconscious in the end.
4.) Okay, powers are limited as mention before in vivid detail in certain areas. However, when choosing your powers for this roleplay keep in mind that they need to be understandable and believable please. Yes I am repeating myself here! No…one touch that can kill a person, or you have invulnerability to the point where nothing can hurt you, or you can survive after your head has been cut off, or come back from the dead, or stop the earth core, and so forth. Believe me I will be reading what you put as your powers. You can ask or send me your descriptions of what you want and I will be more than happy to help you out with them. Feel free to look at my own character profile to see examples.
*Example: Juggernaut was unstoppable yes…but his mind was a big weak point with a large red bull eyes on the back of it.
5.) Since there is just about an infinite variety of possibilities for you chose from for your powers, it will be hard to keep them from being like god like, holds and limitations will have to be made. These hold will keep your powers in more of plain of reality than fantasy.
*For Example: If you can cause earthquakes as a power, the limitations can be that is very exhausting to use even if you’re an expert at the power, or it has a very small range and so forth.
See what I mean... Rogue could take another’s power to make them her own but it was only for a extremely small amount of time and when she took the power she also took part of her target mind in hers that can drive her insane without help to train her mind. Also she was unable to make skin to skin contact too without harming the one she touched.
6.) For those that wish to have their character start with something, with experience and control over their powers...talk with me first. We will see alright. I would like to have only the NPC have strong control and stamina with their powers.
7.) When making your powers up you may only have one to three powers. However these secondary and/or thirdly powers must small be something small and not really all that spectacular. Merely something that makes life a little easier or helps your main one in means of stamina or range or so forth.
*Example: Wolverine main was his healing ability, second what his enhance senses. It was lead to believe that his enhance sense could help him find a place where his healing ability could heal him without interruption. Long shot…since most believe it was just another separate power.
8.) For those that are going to have a power that will grant multiple talents within this power you must remember this. These numbers of talents this power offer needs to be small and reasonable as well. Also these talents are just like your powers; they too will be exhausting and uncontrollable at first and may remain that way. While one of the two talents your power offers may be your best control one the other may be something that acts on its own or under extreme concentration, uncontrollable.
*For Example: Those that have telepathy do not just read minds but change memories, astral project, speak mentally, and so forth. The ability to change memories or read minds can be something you can do easily without thought, but astral project can be extremely hard requiring hours of concentration or it acts only a few times when asked.
9.) Another thing on limitations is range and distance. Be sure to know that the best mutants with the best powers cannot attack from hundreds of miles away at a target. Normally most powers can only go as far as the naked eye can see.
*Example: Storm was able to control the weather but the farther she was from her target destination the more the toll was on her body and mind. She normally had to be in the general area to have her power at their strongest.
10.) When making up your powers and detailing them in a post for the members to see please make sure to extremely detail the post for us. Range, strength, description, main or second or third, does this power have multiple abilities, which you then repeat the same you do for the main power itself. Give it a name if needed. Tell us what it looks like and how it is seen visually. How it works and how it is performed and so forth. Sorry if I repeated something…a few times...but please be extremely detail so I can tell you if the power is god Modding or not and there is no misunderstanding.
11.) Another thing, powers are first come first served. Please read the other members powers and try to be unique and not a copy cat. There is nothing wrong with wanting the same power as another but can complicate the roleplay some.
*Example: Two can have same control over the fire element but one can control fire and the other can manipulate magma. One can have a great mastery, become hotter, can make fire while another cannot an only manipulate fire.
12.) There are no limitations as to what you power can be, just limitations on how potent it can be. Your powers can range from infecting someone with plague to running on water, to talking with machines to becoming invisible, and to becoming living sand to turning into some kind of animal. Try to be imaginative and unique…you don’t have too, but it would be nice to see something other than able to freeze someone. Not like there some wrong with it…but you can add more on to that to make it your own.
Remember these requirements and if you stay in them let your imagination take your powers as far as can be allowed. Can't wait to see what you come with and what they are.
